They were nice and arrived promptly and on time. We did however think that they were going to clean out the fire place insert, such as vacuuming out ashes and so forth, but they did not.

I have a chimney that is leaking water into the fire pit. .... it appears to need some extensive repair work, about a $1000 - $2000 repair job. I called ChimneyTek for a free estimate, their website was very responsive. Call back occurred quickly, appt. set for next day. Upon arrival, I asked ChimneyTek if they wouldn't mind accessing the roof, to inspect the chimney, from the rear of the house. The estimator asked why, I informed him that I did not want my gutters to be damaged, and that a smaller ladder had been setup around back of the house, (since multiple companies were called to provide estimates.) Vince stated that he wanted his guys to work from a "safe ladder" and couldn't understand why I wanted them to access the roof, from the rear of the house... where *I WANTED THEM TO ACCESS THE ROOF However, he hesitantly said to me, that he would go around back. My front door began to close, as I heard him make a very negative comment to one of his workers...about me... "I can see this guy is going to be hard to work with".... (along with some other choice words) So, right from the first 2 minutes that he was at my home, he did NOT want to listen to me, OR abide by my request, so what kind of relationship could we possibly have, moving forward...?? So I simply suggested that he vacate the premises. The logic behind "doing it my way" was simple, however, never questioned by this so called professional. I am under contract for a new roof, and wanted to cause no damage to the existing gutters, by having multiple estimators "place" their big, cumbersome, hard to handle, fits any house, huge, aluminum ladder up against my gutters... ...so I used my ladder to provide access. I learned from the first person that came...that the ladder would put 2 dimples in the aluminum gutters. BTW, the other 4 estimators had NO PROBLEM in listening to, and abiding by my simple request I would NOT suggest using this company for ANY service.

It went great! They were punctual and fast. They offered recommendations on ways to keep the chimney clean.

They did a fine and great job.

However, I felt he tried to scare us into a $2500 job. Told us to immediately turn off our furnace and not run it until we had a furnace flue liner installed because we would probably be exposed to carbon monoxide. We got a second opinion, and have been running our furnace, trouble-free, without having the "emergency" work done. A stainless steel (flex) flue liner was installed last week and the exterior brick patching done for $1000.00.

It wasn’t that great. The company was great but they came out and did the inspection and my chimney is a lot worse off than I thought. They were very honest and were upfront with me. They told me what was wrong with the chimney. They took pictures and showed it to me on their cameras. They were good. Even though they didn’t to get to do the complete job, they were very helpful. It was a great price. They were on time. They were really great guys.

No complaints. I'd hire them again.

I'm very happy with the work and will continue to use Chimney Tek for annual cleanings and inspections.

Have had 2 visits so far. The first was an angieslist deal to clean and inspect my chimney. Service was great. The found that I needed to do some work at the top of my chimney. I was very happy with the work they have done.

The other chimney service provider were three ties what Chimney Tek was going to charge me. It was rough for him because for some of the work he needed a certain temperature for him to do it and he actually he ended up finishing up we had settled it up or sold the house, but he did keep everyone in the loop.He did a good job.They were very professional most definitely, very responsive, we didn't have to wait for them to come out for an estimate, which I had originally contracted them to just do the inspection and they did that very professionally. The price was excellent. They always tried to come through on time.

Our interaction has been very positive with them so far. We've set up several appointments with them, but have had to reschedule because of the snow. They did come out and look at the fireplace and chimney to restore it. They're very professional.

Everything was good. They came out promptly, did the job as promised, and were courteous and professional. They did the additional work too.

Vince was very good to deal with. Our project was spaced out over of a few half days, because it involved breaking out an existing liner, re-lining 2 flues and adding an exterior clean out door to the chimney. Vince and his crew were always punctual and courteous. They made every effort to keep the interior of our house clean by using drop cloths and shop vacs. I will definitely contact Vince for our next chimney cleaning/inspection.

I and purchased a coupon on here for 99.00 to have my chimney cleaned. After playing phone tag for a couple of weeks I decided to cancel the service. Provider is too hard to get a hold of.

They did a fine job cleaning the chimney, but were supposed to order a part and come back at a later date to fix a crack. They forgot to do that, but eventually noticed the oversight and came back and did the repair. So it worked out ok, just took longer than expected.

Customer Service was excellant. Due to the snow they had to come out three times. Gentleman who was handling scheduling always on top of checking up on scheduleing. 2 guys came each time they came out, one was on the roof and the other was inside. Came for 10-15 mins each time. Didn't charge anything additional for coming out. Choose provider based on the reviews and the deal. Would recommend to family and friends.

They came out and did what I asked them to. They were very honest and plan on using them to replace the lining in my oil chimney when the time comes.

Tthey scheduled the appointment efficiently, very professional. Left the room completely clean. They had to climb on the roof to do some cleaning up there. Everything went very well.

They were responsive to our call to schedule an appointment, arrived on time, covered the work area, explained all the details to my curious husband as he watched, and answered all questions upon completion. Needless to say, we will use them again!

I contacted ChimneyTek because I needed an updated report stating that my chimney is clean. It has not been used since the last time it was cleaned about a year and a half ago, but in order to apply for a rental license in Howard County, I needed something dated within the last year. I spoke with Vince, the owner, and was on a pretty short time-table for having the inspection done, and he said he was able to have someone out that same day (YAY!). The two techs arrived shortly after calling to let me know they were on the way. They were very personable and professional, and made short work of the inspection. Pricewise, it seemed a tiny bit high, considering it was only a visual inspection, and there was no cleaning being done. I'd gotten lower estimates from a couple of other companies, however, I was fine paying a little bit more for same day service. Overall, I was happy, and would use them again.

The technician that came to my house took pictures of my chimney problem areas and walked me through all the items that needed to be replaced in order to honor the coupon. I'll definitely be using Chimney Tek again in the near future.

Vince and his team were gems from beginning to end! We got off to a great start when Vince offered to give up part of his day off, in order to accommodate my tight schedule. He and his guys showed up promptly and got right to work. Vince is clearly very knowledgeable and explained some things and offered some solutions. At no time did I feel patronized, even though I know very little about my own fireplace and chimney. There was no "hard-sell pressure" for additional services. They came in prepared to do the service, exactly as explained in the Big Deal ad. Only because I had questions about chimney caps, did Vince offer an extended explanation about the cap I have and what else I might need to do in the future. The young men that did the actual cleaning, were fast, professional and extremely courteous! They used mats to protect against getting dirt or ash on the floor or blown into the air. They also used a vacuum to make sure that the floor around the fireplace was spotless when they were done.
