They were quite good. The older gentleman who came was very thorough while doing the chimney sweep. We also purchased a chimney liner. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work.

The company responded in a reasonable time and we were able to set up the appointment with no problem. They cleaned the chimney and gave an estimate for some repairs. The initial estimate did not include the $150 credit that the Big Deal include but we were ultimately able to get the price reduced after talking to the technician.

Service was great, 2 men came to my home and cleaned the chimney and completed a thorough inspection and offered solutions (chimney cap) to keep stink bugs out of my chimney! Apparently we also have a crack and some additional challenges with the chimney itself. They offered solutions and provided pricing to cure the other chimney problems and we will most likely hire them to do that work as well. No pressure to commit to additional services, very nice company.

The service went well. They did exactly what the deal stated. The technicians did a good job and scheduling was pretty easy

The provider was very polite and punctual. The technicians performed the work quickly and thoroughly. They showed me photos and explained their comments. They even noted issues they saw with my roof and gutter even though that was not within the scope of their task.

Chimney Tek came...gave us a reasonable estimate and we said ok. They came the following week (as soon as they got the parts). Repaired flashing & sealed. Replaced crown. Joints of the brick needed grinding out and repaired. After letting the crown set and dry, they returned the next week and removed the framing from the crown and cleaned the bricks.

They arrived promptly. After inspecting my chimney , they conferred with their boss over the phone and decided that the chimney could not be repaired and had to be rebuilt. They decided that they did not want to tackle the project. I respect their honesty because they could only repair. They suggested that I request for a full refund.

This past winter left us with a chimney cracked on 3 sides with bricks and mortar coming out. Also some complete bricks split. (I think this probably began with the earthquake several years ago,. the house really shook, but try to tell that to the insurance company after all this time) After their inspection and my assurances that neither flue was in use nor would they be as long as we lived in the house, ChimneyTek determined that I only needed to have the damaged areas rebuilt and waterproofing applied. what with afternoon storms, this took 3 days. the chimeny looks like new and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. All workers were very pleasant to work with and were more than willing to answer my questions about the process. Communication with the office was not as prompt as I would have liked, but overall they did a great job.

They were punctual and communicated the process. They also informed me of some issues inside the chimney. We will use them again for those repairs.

VERY prompt, very professional, honest, responsive. I have had a leak around my chimney area. Suspecting a cracked crown or popped mortar joints, Vincent and his team of two employees inspected my chimney. They believed that the chimney was probably not the cause. They believed the flashing was suspect at the peak. I inquired about a new crown for which he gave me a quote right on the spot. The price seemed reasonable although he told me he could not guarantee this would fix my problem--I understood. Although I have not yet made-up my mind about getting a new crown or not, I was more than pleased with Chimney Tek. I still must narrow-down my problem before making any decisions about replacing the crown. I may still do business with them in the future.

I can't provide all the details, date, etc., as too much time has passed by and I wasn't home when the individual showed up. He did a good job. What was missing, though, was the $100.00 or so that was suppose to be applied to chimney repair. The gentleman never provided us with a quote to repair our chimney, as was requested. Therefore, the $99.00 down for cleaning the chimney, and $100.00 toward chimney repair never took place - we got the cleaning and are pleased with the results.

No problems found. Vendor was punctual efficient and courteous.

The job was not done and I am requesting a refund. I felt they honest and professional for letting me know beforehand that they could not repair the chimney.

I purchased a Big Deal with this provider. I had gotten an estimate from him last fall, and when I contacted him asking him if he would apply this deal to estimate, he said that the deal did not apply to previous estimates, which the deal did not state. I checked with Angie's List, and they confirmed that no where on the deal did it say that it could not be applied to previous estimates. He told me that if I added waterproofing to the job, that he would give me an 20% off of $440, which was the new estimate with the deal. I will not be using him for this project.

Vince and his associate gave me a courtesy call to inform me that they would be at my home closer to noon (as they gave me a 10-12 window) which I appreciated greatly as that allowed me to run some errands before their arrival. They arrived a bit after 12 and went right to work. It was very efficient and professional and I was very pleased with everything. Vince explained that our flues were not blocked, but that the blockage leading to the high carbon monoxide levels could be in our furnace exhaust duct that runs from the furnace to exterior foundation wall. He went on to explain why he didn't remove that specific duct to check for the blockage which I appreciated greatly as that could have lead to more cost and repair. The overall assessment was that our chimney was clean, but that we could use work on the chimney masonry cap (due to cracking that had been previously caulked) and waterproofing of our chimney brick. Vince showed me pictures he took of the masonry cap and explained that none of this was a safety concern, but that it should be attended to at some point down the road. I felt that all of this was very fair and I was under no pressure to commit to this work being done. Overall a great experience and will call them again for this additional work!

Very prompt, knowledgable, and professional. Will be my go to company in the future.

The service was delayed due to bad weather twice but they notified me promptly and I had no trouble rescheduling. The job took less than an hour and they were friendly and knowledgeable. We asked for advice about drafts that we noticed on the edges of the fireplace opening and they gave us their opinion on the possible causes for it. They did not try to sell us extra services.

Vince, and his guys Josh and Vince 2, do great work. They had to come out several times due to a design flaw w/ the door on the Napoleon EPI3T we originally had installed, but made maximum effort to rectify the problem (door sagging and dragging on hearth) until the company finally informed them that this was a known issue w/ this model; attempted fixes included raising of stove, re-positioning of hinge pins, and even a new door. In the end, Vince provided an EPI3C @ no additional cost to us and removed the troublesome EPI3T. We will use ChimneyTek in the future for maintenance of our stove and furnace chimneys.

I had no problems with them. They did a wonderful job. I like the fact that they came, they did what they did, clean up very well and left.

Vince was easy to deal with, fairly good communication while going back and forth to schedule this project. They showed up when they were scheduled and did good work. Would recommend and would deal with again. Had one small hiccup with an employee leaving a backyard gate open and our dogs escaping into the neighborhood, I brought this to Vince's attention immediately and he was very apologetic and professional on the manner. Overall it was a good experience!

Fine - Typical chimney cleaning.

Took advantage of a deal to get chimney cleaned. Initial appointment had to be postponed until after Thanksgiving because of weather. Two men came out, cleaned chimney and inspected it, found no problems other than the damper needing repair, which they fixed. They put charred wood from old fire in a box and left in grate in fireplace. The next week, before we had used the fireplace again, I heard spurts of dripping on the box during a downpour. I phoned the company and reported the issue, asking them to please come see if their cleaning had somehow opened up a crack in the mortar in our stone chimney. The man on phone told me he thought the dripping probably resulted from high winds blowing rain in beneath the chimney cap during the rainstorm (it was windy), but he said they'd come by and take a look. It seems he was right about the wind, as there have been at least a few downpours since and no rain running down the chimney. High marks for that. But they never did stop by or even call back, which I find a bit unresponsive and unprofessional. If you think there's really nothing wrong with the work you did, and don't want to have to make an unnecessary followup house call, then ask the customer to call back if the problem recurs. Don't say you'll stop by and check on it and then not do it. It leaves the customer doubting you will follow up if there really is a problem in future. And that doubt could prevent you from getting repeat business.

I called them because at the time they had a deal on Angie's List. I was told not to buy the deal from Angie's and instead pay the company directly. My wife was at home when they came. Even though I specifically requested only furnace chimney sweep, they also checked the fireplace chimney. A few days after they performed service, I attempted to use the fireplace and the smoke filled out my living room. It turns out damper/flue could not be opened. It operated well before service. Now I am stuck with non-operational flue which I'll have to fix. While I can't conclusively prove they damaged the flue as I wasn't there, it operated normally before they checked chimney. Not satisfied at all.
