Description of Work: I was concerned by the difficulty in setting up the appointment and the vendor's lack of response to my outreach - an email and a phone call. I have had difficulty with another Angie's List vendor in the past (He failed to show up for the first scheduled appointment and was late for the second, and I was dissatisfied with the service I received.

Description of Work: Chimney sweep service, including inspection of chimney structural components, was performed. I visual illustration and discussion of additional preventive maintenance services was presented for my consideration, including areas that should be watched for possible future repairs. The crew was courteous and professional and paid close attention to preventing debris from entering our home during the cleaning process. I would recommend this company to anyone needing chimney inspection and sweeping service.

Description of Work: performed chimney cleaning and inspection of firebox & chimney. Inspection found chipped bricks that needed replacement. Gave me an estimate and also instructions on how to repair for the DIY'er. Honest & knowledgable guy that I will use again.

Description of Work: After receiving 3 estimates, we felt that Chimney Tek had the best plan for our repairs. We had our furnace flu lined. Additionally, we needed to line the fireplace flu but they were unable to do so with our woodstove insert. The fireplace flu was cleaned & scrubbed. Our chimney caps were replaced & also some mortar work was done on the outside of the chimney. What we liked most of all was that the owner made every effort to see that we were happy with the work. Since the work was completed, we have been using our woodstove insert & can not believe what a difference it made to have the chimney repairs. The stove is so much more efficient. We couldn't be more pleased.

Description of Work: inspection and cleaning of chimney. He was efficient, explained what he was doing, recommended a minor investment to protect the firebox, and accomodated my crazy work schedule.

Description of Work: They came out to do the sweeping and then found out we needed a new cap - which they replaced. They also showed me I had cracks on the chimney that needed to be repaired and that the area needed to be waterproofed. I haven't had any maintenance on my chimney in 14 years so I wasn't surprised.

Description of Work: Our chimney was tilted. It had to be taken down and replaced with a new chimney. Chimney Tek had a very competitive bid, and let us use an Angie's List discount of 10% off. They were very professional and our chimney works well and looks great. The owner Vince Decrisi, checked on their work and went out of his way to fix our hot water heater pipe that wasn't up to code. He followed up to make sure we wre happy with our new chimney. I would definitely recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Tech ran a brush up chimney and vacuumed the dust that fell. Wasn't quite what I expected. They did not go on the roof.

Description of Work: Chimney-Tek swept a wood stove chimney and inspected the chimney. It's hard to judge from the ground how thoroughly they performed the work, but we've had no problems since then.

Description of Work: Chimney inspection and cleaning was performed and no residue left in the house. Vince and his crew were prompt and courteous. In the course of the inspection, Vince noted that the chimney cap needed waterproofing and I had him do this additional work for another $50. I would not hesitate to recommend his company. Description of Work: The individual swept the chimney...first he covered the rugs and the surrounding area and then he used a huge vacuum to remove stuff from the chimney. I was particularly pleased that he said the chimney was the type that could not be accessed from the top...years ago, I had someone do it who brought back a photo and stated that I needed to do work up there -- I didn't believe him and this company finally proved me right. Great job.

Description of Work: Vince was very responsive and able to schedule service within a 5-day window, which I very much appreciated as I wanted to use one of the fireplaces over the holiday weekend. He and his crew were very professional and tidy when they swept and inspected the two chimneys. The price for this was $298, which seems reasonable to me, especially as both chimneys are quite high and required a 40' ladder. One of the chimneys is experiencing considerable dampness and it turned out that the damper at the top was malfunctioning and there are a few cracks in the mortar on the crown and flashing as well. The price quoted to replace the damper and cap and seal the cracks at the top crown and around the flashing at the roof line seems very reasonable. That work has not yet been completed as a new cap/damper needs to be ordered.

Description of Work: We had just had a home inspection that showed several things that the new owners wanted fixed. Vincent was able to come out the same day I called. He looked over the report and fixed everything that was mentioned. He was very thorough The chimney cap was cracked so he had his crew repair that while he repaired some holes inside the firebox. The work was completed quickly and with no mess left behind.

Description of Work: We have annual chimney cleaning done in the spring. Sometimes I also ask for raingutters to be cleaned (extra), Once I've had inside work done on our wood stove's chimney.
