I recently hired Bay Area Tree Care to remove several trees in my yard. I was pleased with their exceptional service! They did an excellent job with the clean up as well. I highly recommend Bay Area Tree Service.

I phoned Bay Area Tree Services and left a detailed message. They never returned my call. They were highly recommended to me by a friend, so I was disappointed they did not respond. They may have done superior work at a great price, but with such poor customer communication skills I never had the opportunity to find out.

I called for an appointment to have someone come out to give us an estimate. A date a time was set but no one showed. After about 45 minutes beyond the expected time frame given, I called the office but could only leave a voice message. I then called the ell phone of the person that was to have shown and had to leave a voice message as well. This was during the middle of the day - well within their working hours. No one ever showed nor called. We had been a customer of theirs since 2012 but no more. I found another company that was responsive and professional - attributes Bay Area apparently no longer has. Very disappointed!

I had to contact them several times for a written appraisal. The price he gave me at the time was reasonable but he was going to go back to office and put it in writing. I finally got it in an emali and did not notice that the big tree was not mentioned. I never signed the agreement nor did I set up a time for them to do it. I got a call at work and they were there at my front door ready to do the job. I did not want them to continue because I wanted to be there when they did the job. They convinced me that they knew what needed to be done so I let them do it. BIG MISTAKE!!!! They left out several tree trimmings and the big tree was totally missed. When I called them back they said it was not on list of appraisal. So now I realized that it was not specific about the take down trees. I called several times to speak with the owner never got through. Finally i just sent in the amount owed as I knew they had me with the written appraisal not being specific. Expensive lesson learned never do business with them again and make specific trees be noted.... Have dealt with several tree trimmers in this area throughout the 30 years I have owned this place and never had any problems. Very unorganized company, owner does not return calls.

They were out at the arranged date and time. After I cleaned up the residue from the grinding, I realized that one of the stumps wasn't completely ground. I called a week after they did the service and was told they would be back to finish the job. I called several times before I decided to keep track of my phone calls. Each time I called, I either left a message on their machine or talked to someone in the office. Each time I talked to someone, I was told that they hadn't forgotten me and someone would be out when they were in my area. Since I've kept track of the phone calls, I called 3 additional times ( 9/27, 10/4, 10/19). They have not returned any of my calls nor have they finished the job. They charged me $550. for an incomplete job. I would NEVER hire this company again!!!!!

The company came when promised and di half the job. They haven't been seen since.

they took down three trees. they asked if i wanted firewood from it. they ground the stumps, and left the mulch from the stump grinding in the stump holes.

They showed up on time and were very professional. They were very attentive to how and what we wanted to get done. Protected our lawn with ramps so as not to damage the grass. They did all we wanted and more. Clean up our property completely so you would not know all that work had been done that day. They told us all that work would get done in one day, and it was.

We're very happy with them. They were very efficient. They cleaned up well. They completed the whole task in two days. The staff was very courteous. They took out a fence and some shrubbery that they had to remove to get the truck into the yard and I called twice to ask them to pick it up and they didn't do that. They never came. Other than that, everything was great.

.I have been working with Bay Area tree care for many years, they do really good work. They are there when I call them up. I am very satisfied with the appearance of what they do. They are very easy to work with. One phone call and the work is done, all my billing is done over the phone.

I needed some extensive tree trimming and pruning to three trees in my yard. Rick Shortridge, the owner arrived on time for my estimate and carefully evaluated my tree service needs. He is also a certified arborist. His crew of 4 arrived and promptly began work. One of the trees could be reached with their bucket truck but the tree in the rear yard required climbing. His crew moved furniture out of the way on my deck and carefully trimmed/pruned the tree which overhung my house. They carefully lowered all of the limbs with ropes. The last tree was reached using a ladder. It also hung over a fence. After the trimming was completed, they cleaned up all the debris, raked the area and used a blower to clean off the yard, deck and front yard. I am very pleased with the job and will defintely use their services again.

They were on time and polite. They were not very detailed in their estimate, it was pretty broad. When it really came down to asking questions about grass and other things they were pretty vague. When they put down the woodchips they said it was thick enough, but when I had someone else out they said they didn't put enough down so weeds were starting to grow through them.

I have used Bay Area Tree Care in the past with excellent results. Found them to be responsive, priced well and quick to complete work; except this time. They came and trimmed up my Pin Oak and removed all the brush quickly; however, it took over two weeks to get the stump grinder to my home. I would call and told it would be the next day or two and when they did not show, again the next day or two. I do not know if this delay had anything to do with the storms of early July, but the communication between the company and I was not up to anyone's standards.

Overall, Bay Area Tree Care did exactly what we asked. They cut up the tree, hauled it away, and ground down the stump. We did have to reschedule once after they didn't show for the first appointment window, but that wasn't a big inconvenience for us. (Note, the service date is approximate. I remember they came out in December, but I can't remember the exact date.)

Myself and my husband were extremely upset by the mess that was left. They left the wood in such large pieces that we were not able to move it. They also were not very easy to deal with when it came to discussing what needed to be done and how things were to be left on my property. After all was said in done the owner never called back when I called to let them know how I felt even after I let them know that I had some damage to my driveway.

They are very efficient and clean up after themselves. They do really good work.

They did a fantastic job an an excellent price! Other estimates I had gotten ranged from $1000 - $1900; they bid $875, and then accepted my coupon for an additional $75 discount. They did the work all in one afternoon, and were able to move their equipment in and out without messing up the front lawn and without disturbing our fence. The foreman spoke with my wife, and was very courteous. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

They performed the job as described with the exception of one area in the back where they missed one small tree. They could improve by confirming date and time of service so that someone can be home.

We have used Bay Area Tree Care for several years and have been happy with their service until now. During the storms that we had in August, a 6 inch diameter tree cracked and fell on the roof of our shed. My husband looked and there was no damage to the shed but we wanted to get the tree removed from the roof but with no sense of urgency since there wasn't any damage. My husband called Bay Area Tree and asked for them to remove the tree from the roof of the shed and since the shed is located in a heavily treed area, there was no reason to have the tree ground up, we just wanted it removed from the shed. They arrived and were here for only 20 minutes. The bill was $2,500!! Prior to this, a month earlier, they took down one 12 inch oak in our front yard, one 6 inch oak and a 10 inch holly tree and removal of a portion of another tree, ground them up and did this effort for $1,400. When my husband called, thinking that there had to be a mistake, they assured us that it was not an error, that the bill was $2,500 and only agreed to remove a very small amount from the bill. When my husband assured them that he would pay the bill and never use their services again, they didn't even care. I strongly urge anyone who is in the need for a tree removal service to not use this company.

They were really fast, expeditious, and professional.

This company had been recommended to us and the young man seemed very knowledgeable when he came for an estimate. We hired them for two full days of work and the contract stated that they would clean up afterward. The first day the crew of 3 didn't come until after 9am and began work close to 9:45 am. They took numerous breaks, hour for lunch and then stopped working at 3:20pm. The second day there was a 4th person who obviously was the supervisor. The men put in a full day of work and I had to leave before they left. I returned home to find that large logs had not been removed, large trees had been moved to other areas of the woods closer to my home instead of being chipped and the area was left with vines etc. not cleaned up. I called the next day and was told someone would come and clean up. Day after day appointments were cancelled. Finally, the office worker came and took pictures and set up a date SIX WEEKS AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE! We finally have the area cleaned up.
