Excellent service! I wish I had known about this plumbing service years ago. Chris was fantastic with his correspondence and explanation. He found the problem within seconds and was done replacing old copper water pipes in my basement quickly. I will always call Alpha in the future!

Chris showed up and got to work right away. I was not there at the time but my wife had mentioned that he explained what was wrong and gave an approximate work time and price for the job. Additionally, he also gave my wife an informal quote to reroute our backyard hose bib due to leakage and the line running under cement (too hard and more expensive to break up the cement and fix the current hose bib). I also appreciated John talking to me through Angie's List messenger and giving me a "warm and fuzzy" feeling for their workmanship and prices. Would definitely use in the future...I am fairly certain I've found my new plumber.

The price was reasonable. They're great, I've used the ma number of times and they're my go-to plumber.

Chris came out and took out the old sump pump and replaced it with a much better one. He explained how the new pump worked and why it was much better. Chris went on to check my water softener system and after looking at it, he told me that it was an older system that he didn't recognize or was able to identify. He told me that I was better off replacing it with a new one, which I know I would love to do, but I explained to him that I just need it to work better than it has been and that I don't have to money to replace it right now. Chris agreed to take a closer look and as he was taking the system apart to check it, he cleaned out its parts. The hoses in the system were almost completely clogged up with iron particles that come from my well water. Once Chris cleaned out the system, he showed me how right away, the flow of water and the suction were so much better. He made other recommendations in how to help the system work better by buying better salt, plus he asked me to run a backwash several times after he left in order to completely clean out the system. Chris worked fast but thoroughly. He was nice and explained everything that he did as he did it. Chris charged me exactly what I was quoted by Alpha Plumbing and left out the charge for cleaning out the water softener system.

Brian kept me informed of each step of his progress and explained the reasons for what needed to be done. He was efficient and cleaned up afterwards. I thought that some of the water supply valves needing replacing but he demonstrated that they were okay and just needed tightening. Although he offered to replace the valves if I wanted, I appreciated that he didn't try to pressure me into unneeded costs and work. I would definitely use Alpha Plumbing again!

I called on Monday and was able to get an appointment for the next day, our leak was very minimal and not an emergency at all, so I thought a regular next day appointment was very accommodating. The plumber arrived at the scheduled time, had all the supplies needed already with him and completed the job very quickly. Will definitely use this company again in the future.

They arrived on time and dug three holes, so they could pull the new water line through the existing water line hole. They were replacing the existing (leaking) Polybutylene pipe. In addition, they installed a new pressure regulator and shutoff valve. They finished in the late afternoon. The only problem was, they did not do a good job filling in and packing down the dirt holes. I ended up with dirt sink holes at one edge of two of the holes they had dug. The one next to the house and next to the driveway. I had to fill in the sink holes twice as the dirt settled through the spring into the summer. Considering the rapid response and cost, a couple bags of dirt and some grass seed was worth it.

Showed up on time. Staff is accommodating on the phone. Price was great. They are efficient and friendly service provider.

I found water spouting from the top of my old water heater, so I shut of the water supply and called Alpha Plumbing, which had done very good work for a friend. When I described the problem, the woman who I talked with was able to give me a quote for a new heater of the size I wanted, installed ($805). A plumber wasn't available the next day, but he showed up the day after that at the scheduled time and installed the new unit and hauled away the old one within two hours.

Scheduled the time for someone to come by and was told the appointment was scheduled for noon so I took off work to be home but we didn't receive the call that someone was on their way till 1:15pm and he didn't get there till almost 1:45pm. He looked at our situation, told us our piping needed to be replaced to the hot water until, why, how and how long it would take. He also took extra effor to explain how it all worked and securred a few loose lines attached to the ceiling so they didn't rattle anymore and he totally fixed the saddle which wasn't even needed anymore so no more leaks anywhere. Over all, very nice work and very efficient once he got there. Will deffinitlyuse the company again.

The plumber called me about an hour before our appointment window, and let me know that he could be at my home in about 30 minutes. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He got right to work, was very professional and knowledgeable, entertained any questions we had, and was even friendly with my kids. This was the best experience we've had with hiring someone to do work in our home, and we would not hesitate to hire them again. The cost of service was after the $10 coupon here on Angie's List.

The first interaction with Alpha was a good one. I explained that both my wife and I work so the earlier the better for us. The scheduler said that Buddy lived relatively close to us and would be able to stop by before he went into work to give us an estimate. He arrived right at 8 am ready to go. When he came out for the estimate after going through several plumbers all failing to diagnose the extent and the actual problem he came out looked in a few locations and was quick with his diagnosis of a electrolysis issue with the copper pipes. He spent probably 5 min working up and estimate which great compared to the others which took several days. His estimate was below most of the others. They came out on Wednesday and worked through the day and were able to turn the water back on that night (which was a pleasant surprise). They finished the job the next day and cleaned up well. I wish they did drywall because I am sure we would have hired them for that as well.

After the week long deluge at the end of April 2014, we found that our sump pump simply couldn?t handle the amount of water round our house and stopped working. Many people in our neighborhood had the same issue. We woke up on Friday morning, May 2nd, to see our basement covered in 3? of water, and quickly consulted Angie?s List to find a reputable plumber. We were very impressed with the amount of positive feedback for this plumbing company - in addition, they are a small business in our area, locally owned, and we really like being able to support local community businesses this way. We contacted Alpha Plumbing on the morning of May 2, after we were sure the rains had finally subsided and knew we could stop building an ark. The office personnel I spoke with, Michelle, was patient, kind and completely professional. It was clear that she understood how stressed I was and her compassion really showed. Because it was Friday, I thought for sure that I'd have to contend with a flooded basement over the weekend until someone could see us. Michelle quickly was able to fit us into her plumber?s schedule for that same day and by 3:30 on Friday afternoon, Dan was in our basement paddling his canoe...I mean...making his way to our poor sump pump. Within minutes he diagnosed the problem, removed the one that had malfunctioned, and replaced it with a new version. He gave us great tips on how to maintain our equipment to make it last longer. The price for the visit and replacement was less than we paid for the previous sump pump 8 years ago, and I felt their prices were fair for the amount of work parts. I liked the fact that they have a flat rate for sump pump replacement, and I didn't worry about whether I could afford the fix at the end of the process. I was particularly impressed by the fact that they didn?t try to ?upsell? me, that is, sell me things I didn?t want or need at that time. Dan understood that I just wanted my basement to no longer double as a lake, and he took care of that. Within 2 hours, the waters had subsided and I?m happy to say that by that same evening, we were no longer contending with standing water. From my first call to them to a full resolution of our problem took about 7 hours, which is excellent in my book. I?m very pleased with Alpha Plumbing, their prices, their professionalism, and their efficiency. It was our first experience with them, and we wouldn?t hesitate to contact them again for future plumbing needs.

He was inside the window that he said he'd arrive. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. You could tell he was no rookie. And he gave us some really good suggestions of things to consider based on where the pipe had frozen. That's why we had the shutoff valves installed later. He also provided a set up option that makes sense to other plumbers. He was able to install the shutoff valves with minimal mess. It looks like they've been there forever. He did a great job.

All work was performed professionally and accurately. Plumber was courteous, prompt, neat and thorough.

Alpha Plumbing did a great job with my plumbing repairs. I basically had to get the insides of two toilet tanks completely rebuilt, and they also unclogged a slow-running sink drain. Work took about an hour. They were very professional, courteous, hard working, and very fair priced. I recommend them highly, and they will be the first plumbers I call the next time I have a problem.

I called Alpha Plumbing on Monday 3/24 and they had plenty of appointments available for me on my next free day, 3/26. I had an outside spigot that was supposed to be freeze proof, and was not, that needed to be repaired/replaced. I had also been finding water in the drain pan of my water heater that I wanted investigated. Plumber arrived promptly at 9am as scheduled, a quick inspection showed the spigot had failed and would need to be replaced, and that the water heater tank was leaking and would also need to be replaced. The water heater job came at a fixed price that I agreed to before any work was done. He replaced the outside spigot and installed a cut off valve inside the house to prevent the same failure in the future. He also replaced the water heater and removed the old unit. Work was completed in about 4 hours and was done professionally.

On time, very professional. Price was fair.

We wanted to replace a 30" wide tub with one that is 32" wide. The toilet was too close to the tub, and would be even closer now, so we wanted that moved over about 4". When we contacted plumbers, many of them thought that moving the toilet drain would be difficult to impossible, and Very Costly. Alpha Plumbing didn't react that way, and gave us a very competitive estimate. Work was scheduled for soon after the estimate, and Chris and Drew did the work in around 6 hrs (I think). They were friendly and communicative and very professional. Tub was installed on bed of mortar as required by manufacturer and is rock solid. They did everything they said they would without going above the estimate. I would recommend them, and I will use them again.

This is my second use of Alpha Plumbing. I used them in the past so I knew the great job they did before. I call late Thursday afternoon hoping for a last minute appointment for the day, but all of the plmubers were on other jobs, but they able to fit me in Friday afternoon at 3pm. This worked with my schedule just fine. The plumber called about 1/2 hour before 3pm and said he was on his way and be here at 3pm. Chris arrived right at 3 and began right to work on the problem. He quickly accessed the plumbing, removed the P-trap and went right to work on the snake/auger. Prior to starting he laid down a tarp and made a work area as not to damage the hardwood floor. He cleaned the pipes all the way to the main line (about 45'). He explained each step and what I can do to prevent the clogs in the first place. He also gave advice on what not to put down the disposal. After the augering, the water flowed better than ever and was no sign of any blockage. He cleaned up perfectly and there was no evidence that he had even been here other than my sink actually drained correctly. From time of arrival to end of job: 40 minutes. If I ever have another plumbing need, I will definitely use them again. Cost of labor/service call: $139 Snake/auger: $75

Came same day I called. We had a flood in our basement due to clogged sewer line. Bob came and did his thing with a snake and now we are good for another 6- 12 months - until those tree roots grow back!

He was a very nice guy and took the time to talk to me but I felt like he wasn't sure about the problem we were having.

Late Wednesday night I had a broken toilet supply line. Now I needed a replacement pipe inside the wall and a shutoff valve, which broke off right where it comes out of the wall. The CPVC pipe was old and brittle. I had to turn off water to the whole house until it could be fixed, inconveniencing my family. I consulted Angie's List and called Alpha at 7:45 AM on Thursday, explaining my situation. When asked, they told me up front what it would cost for service charge and hourly labor, very transparent. They had master plumber Chris Taylor at my house by 9 AM, even though they said it would likely be 10 AM - noon. Chris called me to say he'd be early, was very professional (a really nice guy), and worked quickly. He cut a clean, square hole in the back side of the wall to avoid wrecking the bathroom wallpaper, replaced a section of CPVC pipe (secured it to the wall framing), elbow joint, a new coupling and valve, and new supply line, re-installed my toilet tank, and had my everything working within an hour. His cut in the wall spanned two studs and he replaced the same piece of drywall with a few screws for minimum mess. Most guys would just cut a hole anywhere in the wall without regard for how someone else would fix it. Alpha has a $129 service charge for the first half hour, and $80 per hour labor thereafter (only charged me $40 for the 2nd half hour). With parts, labor, tax and after the $10 Angie's List discount, I was up and running for just under $180. Great experience with Chris Taylor and Alpha Plumbing, would be happy to call them again.

They came the same day I called and evaluated to the problem to my satisfaction. Very professional and I definitely would use them again.
