Alpha Plumbing

I have used Alpha plumbing now four times in the last four months. We recently purchased an older home that has had some plumbing issues. I have been impressed with their professionalism, excellent quality of work and quick response each time. My well pressurized tank had a damaged valve and was spurting water from the top. The basement had a few inches of water and the dry wall and carpet had to be replaced. Alpha Plumbing came out the same day and within an hour of me placing the call. They sent Chris, who is not my usual plumber, but proved to be every bit as competent, professional and friendly as my usual guy. He was at my house for most of the day, but still went the extra mile to show us how to take care of our water softener system. He saw that it needed chemicals added and showed us how to take care of it. I knew he was tired at the end of the day, but he still took the time to fix a toilet flange that was too high. We installed a new toilet and the flange ended up being too high for the toilet to sit flush with the floor. My husband had it rigged it with rubber mats, but Chris was able to fix it without any problems. If your looking for good, reliable plumbers, who do really great work at a fair price, you can't go wrong with these guys.

Sent Alpha Plumbing a question through Angies List as I was doing some research on garbage disposal installation. They responded right away. Easy scheduling. Representative was very friendly and helpful. Chris called about 15 minutes prior to his arrival (which was at the time that was originally stated). The installation took less than an hour. Chris gave me a run through of proper operation of the disposal and troubleshoot if there is a clog. Price was reasonable. About the same as another quote I received and about $200 less than I third quote I received. Overall, Alpha Plumbing did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

The plumber showed up on time, was nice to my dogs, polite to me, and got the job done in a few hours with minimal noise (which is important to me since I work from home). I've used Alpha Plumbing twice now (once for a major job and once for a smaller job). They are my "go-to" for all plumbing needs in my house. Their work and service is top notch.

It went amazingly well, that visit was in May of 2014...over a year later and the drain is still running smoothly! I do not recall the cost, but it was quite reasonable and inline with what I have paid for other plumbers in the past.

Brian arrived promptly and quickly repaired the toilet. He needed to order a replacement sprayer supply pipe from the manufacturer which took a week. He returned and quickly replaced the damaged part.

The plumber (I believe his name was Matt) did an excellent job. He assessed the situation and determined that the old faucet could not be replaced. He recommended a frost free hose bib. I was impressed that he took the time to measure the distance of the hose bib on the outside wall to determine where the hose bib connected on the inside of the house. The basement had been fully finished and the contractors covered up the shut off valve for the front bib. Matt used a level to cut the drywall and made the cut as square as possible so I could install an access panel later. He also needed to use a hammer drill to enlarge the hold for the new frost free bib. He was careful and took his time so as not cause cracks to the masonry. He did a very professional job sweating all the pipes and ensuring there were no leaks. He took the extra time to seal the entrance and exit of the pipe in the house with some special sleeves and a material that hardened to keep weather and insects out. Overall the job was professionally done and works great!

He came on time was professional. Took time out to show all the features and how to trouble shoot problems.

I heard about them on Angie's List. It turned out very well. They were very responsive. They were easy to work with. The person who came out seemed very knowledgeable. He was polite. He got the work done very quickly.

Fast and efficiently installed a gas range; called prior to arrival and arrived on time. Good work done.

I purchased a coupon for Alpha Plumbing to do a toilet installation. The plumbers were punctual, polite, and did a great job installing the toilet. They even spent some extra time making sure that the calking at the base was done right and then they hauled away the old toilet. I would highly recommend them.

Chris had been out a few days earlier and determined several shower parts needed replacement. He did not have the Delta parts with him so he returned several days later. The shower repair was done very quickly and has been working great with no problems. Chris also fix a leaky outdoor spigot and a leak in a newly installed bathroom faucet (this was one of those jobs that we as homeowners thought we could do ourselves but the darn thing kept leaking!) While down in my basement Chris took the time to check my hot water heater overflow tank. So glad he did! He called me downstairs and showed me that the tank was not draining properly and if it was not replaced, it would separate from the hot water heater, causing a major problem. I also asked Chris to take a look at my garbage disposal which shuts off after running just a few seconds. He checked the disposal and determined the motor was overheating. He recommended a replacement. He provided the cost for AP to provide a new disposal and install or offered the option for me to purchase one myself and he would return to install. Chris was very professional and honest. I plan to use Alpha Plumbing in the near future to replace the garbage disposal. Have referred this company to some friends.

Alpha called about a half hour before they arrived, well within the scheduled work window, and completed the work very quickly, and very professionally, I will definitely call them again when I have plumbing work that exceeds my capabilities.

Called Alpha during business hours and got a representative on the phone in seconds. I spoke to Michelle who was friendly and accommodating. We were able to find a mutually convenient time slot for our work for the next day (it wasn't an emergency). Brian called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He arrived on schedule and was very personable and professional. I explained that we had our sink replaced last year and that the drainage was never quite right, getting regular clogs that required me to unscrew the fittings and clean out the trap (U-shaped portion of the drain pipe) next to the dispose-all. When I did this a few days before I accidentally cracked one of the nuts that connect the pipes together creating a small leak. Brian replaced all the pipes, reconfiguring things so that there was a more direct line from each of the dual sinks to the down-drain, removing a couple of extra 90 degree turns that were the cause of the regular clogging. He was finished in about 50 min. While he was here I asked him about the approximate cost to repair another sink in our basement bathroom which has a slight drip. He agreed with me that it wasn't worth doing right now as we plan on remodeling that bathroom in the future and any work that he did now would just end up getting replaced when we remodel. Again, I am 100% satisfied with the quality of the work and the level of friendliness and professionalism displayed by all of the Alpha Plumbing staff that I interacted with. I also thought that the cost for the work was fair.

Friendly person picks up the phone and sends a friendly plumber to provide advice and fix several very minor problems. One of those problems is a negligible leak in an outdoor faucet, which we assume is fixed when the plumber leaves. The faucet is attached to a hose that runs from the side of our house to a hose box about fifty feet away. We come back from a trip five days later and see a swamp in our back yard and discover that the faucet is leaking far more than ever before. We explain the problem and they come out to fix it. They charge us $123.98 and give us a $10 discount for the problem that wasn?t fixed the first time out. In our opinion, we paid them twice for a problem they made worse and, more to the point, should have been fixed the first time.

Purchased a deal for $129 for service call and 1/2 hour worth of labor. Alpha showed up on time in the short 2 hour window they provided and were very efficient at diagnosing the leaking valve and providing an estimate. Gave an estimate of about $60 worth of parts and another 1/2 hour worth of labor to complete the job. The parts were a little more than expected but overall very professional and timely service.

Bateman arrived on time to give me an estimate. We agreed on the date of the repair. Day of the repair, Bateman arrived on time and was courteous, professional and did a great job! Would highly recommend.

I?ve been on Angie?s List for some time but had not used it before because I have a Home Owners Warranty for any required service. Recently I needed the hot water heater serviced so I called the Warranty company. They dispatched their plumbing contractor who presented an estimate. In my opinion the estimate was to expensive, in fact it exceeded the Warrant allowable and I would have had a large out-of-pocket expense. Plus, one of the plumbers was not overly friendly. Fortunately, I found out that the Warranty allowed the use of any plumber of my choice. So I looked for plumbing contractors on Angie?s List and found Alpha Plumbing. I called Alpha and the friendly office person explained my options and made an appointment at my convenience. The Alpha Plumbing technician called a little while before arriving, and was at my door right on time. Before starting the work he (Brian) explained what he would do and about how long it should take. He was courteous, polite and friendly throughout. I was pleasantly surprised at how very neat the job was ? to the extent that the copper pipes into and out of the new water heater are now parallel and symmetrical ? much better than before the job was started. When the job was done the entire area was left completely clean, including the path to the outside door where the old heater was removed. The total cost from Alpha was about 1/3 less than the plumbing company sent by the Home Warranty ? and within the Warranty allowable ? for the exact same work! I cannot think of any way that the job could have gone better. I am so glad I found Alpha Plumbing on Angie?s List.

Brian from Alpha Plumbing was great. He called ahead to let me know when he'd arrive and was punctual. I told him the problem and my failed attempts to resolve it. He got right to work and installed new supply lines in no time. I used the "deal" through Angie's List, which covered the 30mins of labor, but not parts. I thought the price of the new lines was fair. Overall, a great experience.

Dan from Alpha Plumbing did an outstanding job of connecting my new washer and dryer. My previous units were in the garage. He hooked up a new washer in the basement and rerouted the dryer ducting for the new dryer in the basement. He also installed a new pump and utility sink. The work done was neat and looked great when he was done. He also removed all of the old pipes from the basement to prevent future issues with pipes bursting from low temperatures. I was very happy with the work and will definitely use Alpha Plumbing for all of my future plumbing needs.

Great! I was so relieved when he said he could just do the entire job right away. I thought they would tighten the nut, charge $100 and go away with the problem only to return again in a few years. This is exactly what happened with another company. He also cut a very neat access hole in the wallboard. Just what we needed. Very happy with response and results.

Owner and receptionist were both very helpful over the phone- owner had a few questions and provided ballpark estimate and then scheduled one of his workers to come out. Andrew came out to my house and was great- very friendly and professional- got right to work and was very considerate- I had to take a phonetical for work and he asked if the noise was going to bother me- I really appreciated it.
