Regardless that everything on the internet said that equivalent halogen to LED bulb brightness is due to lumens-that is not true. It is way more complicated and deals with height, range of lighting and candle wattage. Able Electric owner Doug spent a lot of time researching the most efficient way to get the most brightness for our backyard while still being safe and affordable. The other electric companies weren't even aware of the issues. Doug gave expert advice on the technology and didn't try to sell us something that would be more expensive and still not work for what we wanted. Very ethical standards. Chris, the technician, was prompt, efficient and very easy to work with. He spent extra time to make sure the lighting was exactly where we wanted. Price was extremely reasonable also.

They were very easy to work with as far as scheduling and the electrician was very friendly. He completed the job quickly and without any issues. Exactly what I expected and would definitely hire again.

My sauna works now. I can turn the lights on/off and it appears I had the best option for under counter lights. He told me there is a lower voltage option on the bulbs and what to ask for/google. I like the honesty and professionalism I received. I would recommend this team to mom.

They are reliable. In June 2013 they put in some wiring for a microwave oven for $395.

I first had Able Electric come out to install two pendant lights and a new dimmer switch. Keith did a great job. He explained each step along the way - options for location of switch, challenges with light placement. He kept his work area clean and vacuumed and wiped up the workspace before he left. He also gave me a quote for adding recessed lights to my kitchen. I was so pleased with his work that I quickly made an appointment to get the recessed lights installed. He came back with another electrician (Kenny) and they went right to work. Placement of the lights was not easy because of the number of ducts and pipes in the ceilings. I thought I knew where I wanted the lights but Keith pointed out that one of them would just be lighting the top of the fridge and two might cause a "helicopter effect" with my ceiling fan. Suffice it to say that, again, Able Electric worked quickly and efficiently and even put in a box in the one spot that was too shallow for a recessed light. So pleasant, so communicative and I would hire again.

The responsiveness and willingness to just do the right thing was impressive! Prior to calling this company, I called a different company I found on Angie's list to perform work on my rental property, and after a week and a couple of calls I never heard back from them. I called Able (just after business hours) and not only did they actually answer the phone, but the person I spoke with was willing to help troubleshoot first before coming out. His honesty in not just taking my money, but doing what's right (and the fact that answered the phone and did this technically after hours) was appreciated. It turned out he didn't need to come out, as the issue was a simple thing, but his patience and how knowledgeable he was spoke volumes.

That was fine. They were really good. They were nice people. They did the work. We didn't have any problems with the work they did.

I had a circuit in my basement that all the outlets on the finished side were connected to that all of a sudden stopped working. When I troubleshot the outlets, I had power but my voltage/current running between my "hot" and "neutral" were off (98volts vice 120volts). After spending a day troubling shooting the circuit, I finally gave up and contacted Abel Electrical. I contacted them on a Friday and they originally told me they would be able to come out the following Monday to take a look at it (which I was fine with). A while later, I received a call and was notified that they had a technician that could come out that same day since they had someone in the area and they were finishing a job early (awesome). Technician came out and found my problem in like 2mins (turns out I had a loose connection in the breaker box that was causing my issue). He made sure I was up to code, fixed me up with a new breaker, and ensured everything was working properly. They had me all fixed up within an hour. Super friendly service and very responsive. Thanks Abel Electrical, I will def be recommending your services to anyone needing a good electrician.

They couldn't resolve the problem the first time they came around so as a courtesy for free they sent somebody new next week hoping they would have better luck. Sure enough the person was able to find the buried junction box and resolve the issue.

The guy who performed the job was nice and friendly but I was a little upset that he could not resolve the issue and I still had to pay $225 out of my pocket.

An Able Electric estimator was supposed to come to my house on Aug. 25th at 1PM. I left work and came home to meet estimator. The "estimator" took about five pictures, was in the house less than five minutes, and said I would receive an estimate via email. Three weeks later I still have not received an estimate. I actually called about two weeks ago to check on the estimate. I even gave an alternate email address in the event there was a mistake. Three weeks later I still haven't heard back. What a complete waste of time. Sending someone to take a few pictures and leaving in five minutes is hardly a thorough review of the situation. Never receiving a quote after taking off of work is even worse. I found an alternate company who took the time to explain the process and even make recommendations. I will be using them instead. I guess Able has so much business they didn't need my little $2,000 job.

Called about it and told them I had checked the circuit breakers and all were on. They asked if a socket in the area had a insert in it that could be pushed labeled "Reset". Found one in the kitchen, pressed it and the electric came back on. As result, I didn't need the trip out and I saved $199.00 for the service. What's pertinent here is the time they took with me to coach me through "electric-language-ease" and resolve my problem over the phone. As a result, the resolution to my problem cost me $0.00. Zip, nada, nothing. Honesty is a real virtue in the maintenance business. These guys have my vote!
