One of my circuit breakers kept tripping and it just happened to be the one my fridge is on. Called Able Electrical bright and early and the owner walked me through some trouble shooting in case it was something simple I could fix. Narrowed it down to my exterior porch light shorting out the circuit. Technician was out a couple hours later and replaced the light fixture for me (I already had the replacement fixture). Everyone was polite, friendly and professional. I will definitely recommend and use them again.

I was very impressed with Able Electric and Russel (the electrician sent out to my home.) I was given a call 30 minutes before Russel's arrival as well. Russel was very polite and courteous. He began work immediately and the work looks absolutely amazing. You can really tell that Russel has a passion for his work and pays attention to detail. The box that was installed looks professional and neat. I did not have to worry about cleaning up after as well. My home was left the way that it was found. I am extremely satisfied with Able Electric and I will be referring them to others that I know. I have some electrical projects coming up in the future and I'm going to be sure to call Able Electric to handle all of my electrical needs from this point on.

The installer was very professional during the entire process. It was done quickly and neatly. I was very pleased with the result.

The call to set up the appointment was handled professionally. We received a confirming call a day or so before the appointment. The worker called to say that he would be at the house in one-half hour, and he was on time. The work was done quickly and well, the price was exactly as quoted over the phone, and he removed the old hood and the box the new hood came in. Additionally, when we had trouble installing the bulbs, a worker returned to the house the next day and installed them for us. We were not charged anything for the second call, although we were prepared to pay for it!

I discovered a problem when I went to flip a breaker in my main electrical box and water dripped out. I found Able on Angie's list and gave them a call. I had someone at my house in less than an hour. He quickly found the problem and did a temporary fix, because he had to pull a permit to fix it properly. He just completed the install of the new cable. I found everyone at Able to be kind and professional. The price I was quoted is what I paid. I already have plans to use them again in the near future.

We contacted the company and set up an appointment for an electrician to come a few days later. He arrived on time and checked out a number of outlets that we either knew or suspected to be damaged. He replaced the damaged outlets, checked some others and found that one of them had been damaged as well. We have a whole house surge protector that had been installed by another company several years ago, which apparently had failed to protect the outlets. The Able electrician checked out the surge protector and even called the manufacturer to investigate whether the installation had been done according to instructions. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and professional, and he informed me every step of the way of what he was doing and why. I will definitely call this company the next time I need an electrician.

They were responsive from the initial call to schedule and estimate, the estimate, and punctual and quick on the day service was scheduled.

The owner of the company who was covering weekend service answered the phone and after we established I had done all I could do to restore power, he said he would come. Within an hour he was at our home and quickly diagnosed the problem shortly therafter power was restored. We were very pleased with his work and professionalism and for coming out on a Saturday. We will definately use the company in the future.

Well I found out about this company via Angie's list. I called them and was initially pleased with the pricing because another company had previously quoted me a price that was 3 times higher. I was not physically present for any of the work(I was at work) but my family told me they were punctual, professional and answered all questions they had in a clear and concise manner. I did inspect the work after I got home and all the outlets were positioned well,clean(no debris on the floor underneath) and most importantly they all worked. At the circuit breaker panel all new wiring/switches were clearly marked as to which room they belonged to so there was no need for guessing/trial-error. After finishing the work he gave me a call and explained everything that was done and there were no issues. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I will certainly call Able Electrical again if I need electrical work done in the future.

Able Electric did a wonderful job from start to finish. Doug came out and was able to provide a free estimate quickly and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work I required. The work was scheduled in a timely manner and the technican (Rick) showed up promptly at 8am. He was extremely professional and proficient. The job ended up being more difficult than originally anticipated because of old wiring and challening access points, but Able Electric stayed true to their quoted amount. I highly recommend this Company for any size job!

Overall, I was very pleased. I could not believe how much he was able to do! He was prompt, had a great attitude, and I had never had an electrician assist me with the dryer. I was just tickled at the experience! I appreciated his honesty as well.

Able gave an appt within 1 day of calling, and no other list providers could get there faster. They scheduled a window of time then called en route so we could meet them at the house. Russell was professional, thorough, communicated and explained well, and wasn't put off by our dirty basement. He recommended we stop looking for a cause when it appeared we would probably find none, so as to not waste $$. I believe the total appt time was 2 hours. His assessment turned out to be right-on. After 2 more trips from BGE, a problem was found at their outside pole. We still feel like we received a valuable service because Able so thoroughly checked our system, which we had never done and which relieved a lot of worries we had about our old house. They honored their coupon shown on Angie's List.

I called in the morning an by mid afternoon they came out and fixed the problem.

I had not hired an electrican for quite a few years and was afraid of the service and price I would find. Able Electrical Services Inc was great. They came at my convenience and Douglas Jenkins and Brian were just great. They quickly put my mind at ease. Within a very short time of Brian's arrival, he found the problem and fixed it. I would highly recommend Able Electrical Services Inc to anyone. I know I will call them again for my next electrical problem.

The electrician arrived and looked everything over, they quoted $285 and I asked if they needed to reschedule a visit or could they take care of things today. The electrician said he could do the job this morning if I liked so I said go ahead. They needed to run a wire from the basement to the kitchen (one floor up), I was warned that they needed to cut a hole in part of our finished basement and that was fine with me - he was very careful and cut a relatively small square to run the wire. Chris, the electrician, was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. We removed the old microwave (he offered to take it to the dump) and after finishing the wiring job I asked if I could pay extra to have him help me install the new microwave. The entire job hadn't taken up the quoted time so Chris helped me install the new microwave at no additional charge, this was incredibly helpful because I don't know much about these kinds of things. I will definitely use Able Electronical for more work on my house, the price was very reasonable, the work was professional and they went beyond their normal duty in helping me get the new microwave set up. I couldn't be more pleased with the job. They also recommended someone to patch the downstairs ceiling.

This is difficult to describe. The person who intially worked on the kitchen did really proficient work at first, but then made inexplicable changes to the design and outright errors. But I called the company's owner, Doug Jenkins, who responded immediately, came to the worksite himself and, along with the original worker, corrected and finished the work that needed to be completely before the ceiling and walls were drywalled. When the job was completed, Mr. Jenkin's did not accept final payment until the kitchen was complete (cabinets and appliances installed, painting finished) to be sure that everything was functional and correct to design agreement. He discounted several items in light of the difficulty I'd experienced intially.

First, I must apologize to the owner for taking so long to write this review. We had a weekend electrical emergency when the electric went out in half of our house. Being both a weekend and an emergency call we expected to pay through the nose. Doug even tried to save us the expense by taking care of the problem over the phone by having us search the house for the problem outlet. When that failed he sent someone out quickly. The technician was very competent and pleasant while here for several hours searching for the problem GFCI outlet that had tripped but it could not be found. Not his fault though since this house has had past renovations which were not up to par. We believe it to be "buried" behind a wall. The technician then re-routed some of our electric which worked like a charm. I expected to be charged at least $500 but the bill was $360. I then got a check in the mail a week later with a refund for $60 because Doug felt I was overcharged. Now that is integrity! I cannot say enough good about my encounter with this company and will surely use in the future if needed. P.S. We continue to search for the "suspect" outlet as if on a mission!

They were fine. They were honest and on time. They were fair. I appreciated their recommendation to have the lights replaced rather than having them do it. That saved me a lot of money.

We just moved. The inspector of our old home said we needed to replace some circuit breakers and repair an electrical outlet. On our 'new' home (built in 1961) the inspector said we should replace the old electrical panel. It was made by Federal Pacific Electric and had been cited being poor design and causing a number of fires. The seller got an estimate for that work and a number of other things. The portion for the electrical work was over $2000. Instead of hiring him, the seller offered to give us the money at closing which we did. On the first job, I did that work myself but the buyer wanted a professional inspection. I called Able and told them about both issues on Saturday. The following Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day and also moving day for us) Brian met me at the first house. The inspection at the first home took a just few minutes and I was charged the minimum service call charge of $120. He apologized for that but said we we hired them for the second job we'd get some of it back. Brian also came to our new home that day and looked over the electrical situation there. He agreed with the inspector, the FPE panel should be replaced. He explained that sometimes the FP breakers would heat up but not open the circuit, resulting in a fire. He took notes on what would be required and the next day I got the estimate from the company for $1250. The owner Doug said he gave me a discount as a previous customer. A few days later Brian came with an assistant, they worked over six hours and put in a new Square D panel. They also replace the service wire coming from the peak of the house to the electric meter and the wire from the meter to the panel. Brian explained that BG&E would have to come by to actually finish tying us in; right now we have a temporary connection until that happens. It's scheduled for next Tuesday. Brian was thorough. He figured out and wrote down what each breaker controlled (except one - it doesn't seem to do anything). The electrical inspector came the next day and put his stamp on it. The new panel looks first class. A few days later Doug called and asked if I was satisfied with the work. I told him I was completely satisfied.

His prices were better than I thought they would be. I enjoyed having someone around that knew what they were doing. I will use him over and over again. He showed up on time. He was a very nice, and pleasant person. I felt comfortable with him in the house. I would recommend him to all of my friends.

Went without a hitch. Installed all necessary components, rewired main electrical panel, and installed transfer panel per specifications.
