The work went extremely well. I have to admit they were upset with me because I tried to do some of the wiring myself. I was unaware that I was not supposed to touch the wiring. Doug was vey concerned I might have hurt myself and that theycould be liable. I appreciate there concern.

It was a pleasant, simple experience.

It went well. The work came in under the estimate, the guys were friendly, and the work was good.

Outside outlets on our house stopped working. Able Electrical found and fixed problem in one visit.

Contacted Able Electrical because of high marks on Angie's List and was not disappointed in any way. Doug Jenkins provided a free estimate as advertised and the work performed was as discussed. The technician was Chris and he did excellent work. He answered all questions about the job and made a couple of minor modifications that improved the functionality of the outlet and switch locations. The price was fair and the job was done well. Able Electrical has my business from now on.

Everything went great even though there were a couple of surprises. I hadn't realized that the new chandelier that I had purchased was so much heavier than the existing chandelier. The electrician quickly identified the issue and explained that he would need to go through the ceiling to add additional support to hang it safely. Even though it took twice as long as he had expected because of this, he simply called in the change and handled the installation without complaint making sure it was very securely hung and i was happy with the job. He even had the additional materials in his truck saving me the charge to run to the hardware store, He cleaned up everything and even carried the old fixture to the basement for me. I thought it was excellent customer service and an excellent job.

They showed up on time. They were courteous and performed good work.

They got back to us in a timely manner. The actually broke down the price listing by job within the several things that we needed done. It was nice becuase we were able to understand what we were being charged for in the estimate. The estimate was professional and typed up for us to view. They showed up on time and took them exactly how long they said it would take to complete the job. They did a good job. Overall, we are very happy with the work they did and we will hire them again if we need more work done.

I have an older home. Russel & Mike were great. Doug gave me an estimate that was right on the money. Mike and Russell were great concidering the amount of work because I had a list of jobs. Doug noticed my outside disconnect was just hanging and made sure it was reattached. Doug came in to ensure the work was being done to my satisfaction . Mike and Russell comminicated everythong they were doing throughout the day and cleaned up after. Douglas called when the job was completed to make sure I was happy with the work. Overall a great experince I would whole heartedly recommend Able Electrical Services.

Doug came over and gave us a quick estimate (applied a 10% military discount too!!). Russell was tasked for the job and did an amazing one at that. Very polite and professionals, and made me feel in charge. I figured this would be more than a day's work, but Russell took care of this on his own within a few hours! (Even with being interrupted by a moderate earthquake!) I may have to find something wrong in my home just to hire these guys again. I certainly recommend their services and would happily refer their business to any one of my family and friends.

Great service! Arrived on time and I provided an inspection report of what I needed to have done in order to execute a buy out of our home. Electrician went through everything and preformed all work necessary in a short time frame. He explained everything he was doing and his work was clean and neat. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

After seeing the advertisment for Angie's List we decided to try them. Able Electronical Services, Inc. was listed and was in our area, which is a our preference for using vendors. I emailed them around 1pm on Tuesday afternoon, 5/31/11; by 3pm, the same day, I had received a call from Doug at the office asking what problem was I experiencing. I explained our needed, he asked a few specific questions about the colors of the switch plates, because he wanted to make sure they had it on the truck when the repairman arrived. I could not remember and he advised I call back once I had gotten home. The office phones would be forwarded to his cell and he could therefore receive my call after business hours. I forgot and did not call until the following morning. An appointment was set up for the following Thursday, 6/2/2011. Since the electrician had completed another job in the area early, he called to see if he could arrive early, which was fine for my husband. My husband said the electrician, Russell, arrived and introduced himself. As soon as he stepped across our doorway Russell put paper surgical like booties on over his shoes, before being led to the different spaces in our house. After examining each job, he reported to my husband what he thought could be done regarding the dedicated outlet and all that it would entail such as going through walls, etc. Then my husband called me at work and Russell explained everything to me. He ended his explanation with, 'You could try this but, I can't guarantee it will work for you.' I appreciated the his advise (especially since the other electrician seemed so certain it would work) and we decided not to get the dedicated outlet. That's alot of money for something that may not work. Russell was able to do the bathroom outlet without a problem and to our pleasure. He also reminded my husband about the $20.00 online coupon Able offered for jobs over 250.00. Both my husband and I were pleased with the work and professionalism offered by Able and would recommend them to everyone.

Brief story. Work agreed upon was performed professionally, at the agreed upon price. We are pleased with the results, have no complaints, and will use this contractor for future electrical needs.

It was evening when I realized I needed an electrician. I found Able on Angie's List, and they were the first of the top-rated firms to offer 24 hour service, so I called and got the owner, Doug. He was very helpful in our initial phone conversation, and he worked with me to get the problem fixed as quickly as possible, even coordinating with BGE on my behalf. The electrician who came to our house, Russ, was polite, quick and knowledgeable, and then Doug came by to check his work and discuss some other recommendations made by BGE. That was a particularly difficult week, as my husband was traveling and I was under the weather, so having Able be so nice and responsive was really key. I have not yet received a bill, but I liked these guys and would use them again for sure.

I spoke with Doug and was very knowledgeable, honest and helpful. I described the problem to him and he recommended I check with BGE first.....called BGE first at Doug's recommendation. BGE uncovered the issue (one of my phases was down, the 240v) and made arrangements to fix their issue. There was no need to hire Able to fix the issue. Doug actually followed up with me later on in the day. Based on my brief experience with them, I would call Able first the next time I need an EC. Thanks Doug!

Able Electrical Services was top notch from start to finish. Russell arrived on time and clearly explained our options, how long it would take and how much it would cost. When I asked whether he could install dimmers he went out and got the materials. Russell was cheerful and friendly the whole time, despite the fact that he had to climb into our nasty crawl space above the ceiling! Will use them again for any electrical needs.

We were really happy that we decided to go with Able Electric. Before the electrician started on the fan light, my husband asked him some questions about other projects were have on our to do list (some we'll contract out, some we'll do ourselves). The electrician was very knowledgeable and also advised us of some things we could probably do ourselves too...which was nice to see their company isn't out to rip off customers and just make money. He did a great job on the install and we are very happy with the finished result. I especially liked that this company provided a flat rate for the job as opposed to other companies that charge by the hour, and could therefore charge more in the end than expected. We'll definitely use Able Electric again for any projects.

While he did arrive a half hour late (I had to call the office to confirm he was coming) the office called me and told me he was stuck in traffic and would arrive in 20 minutes, which he did. He gave me an estimate for the job and for the additional work of clock switches. He had to go to the store to get the needed supplies, but returned on a timely basis and finished the job. He cleaned up afterward.

This company was awesome! I called to set up an appointment, I have three bathrooms that the outlets didn't work. I already checked to see if I had popped the breaker but to no avail I still didn't have power. I made the phone call and spoke to Rose. She asked a few questions and low and behold she had the solution, I tried it ,it worked and she saved me $125.00 for a service call. This company was very honest and is not out to take your money. Everything went smoothly and as expected Would definatley use them again

The company called back in a very timely manner to go over what I was looking to have done and he was able to give me an estimate over the phone. We found the pricing to be very fair. The technician was right on time, very professional, and extremely considerate and clean with all his work. I would definitely use this company again without hesitation and even ask for the same technician (Rick) since his work was excellent.

This company is outstanding. First, they were able to come and give an estimate on short notice. Then, when I explained that I had only one week off from work and I wanted to get as much work done on the house as possible, they were able to squeeze my job in for the following day! I was thrilled with their efforts to accommodate my schedule. It was pouring down rain the following day when they came to install the fans. Rick and Mike (?) were very careful not to track water into the house. They worked so hard and did such an excellent job. Rick (who did the estimate and returned the following day to do the job) was very professional and personable. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

From 1st day to last service was exemplary. First, Doug , the owner, came to my home promptly to assess situation and brought parts to try to amplify my cable reception. I had been told by Comcast that my reception was so compromised due to old and faulty wiring. He did this at his own initiative and expense of parts. He then sent his residential electrician, also with more parts, to assess and get another perspective.They were trying to fix problem without doing entire house rewire, saving me the time,expense and house confusion. When decided rewire was necessary, date and bid were settled on. Russell, a truly knowledgable professional, walked the house, assessed the wiring and then in one day went out of his way to create the minimal amount of disturbance as he cut holes in my drywall in 3 bedrooms, dining room and kitchen. He ran all new wires from top to bottom, using no splitters, returning cable to and creating new tv outlets, staying as neat as possible.Drywall was also offered as they sub that out but I chose to use another from the Angie's List. I will never use another electrician as long as I live in Baltimore, as I was so impressed with their skill and even more,professionalism. In fact will use them to install new bathroom exhaust and new doorbell repair.I told my sister in Severna Park, Md. to use them only as well. Doug was a find, and he has a great Mom answering the phone as well. My most sincere thanks.

All the people at Able are wonderful from Rose the receptionist to all the electricians I've had at my home. The initial part of the work was completed quickly but finding a new trim piece for my old recessed light proved more difficult then was anticipated. Chris (the electrician) after much searching was able to find one that would work with some slight modification. I was impressed that Rose remembered me from work I had done months before. I will use able again for all my electrical needs.
