They were very prompt, the gentleman who came out was nice, very professional, and did good work. He called to confirm the service time and was here in 20 minutes. He explained the problem and advised on some work I should have done in the future. I would highly recommend them.

Russ from Able arrived and was shown the scope of the work that needed to be done. He promptly set about the work and verified each repair with a photograph. Russ worked efficiently and was happy to answer any questions. The electric service cable repair required a second trip plus inspection by the county and BGE. The owner of Able, Doug Jenkins, came out to view the cable and the part was ordered. Russ installed the cable and Doug coordinated the necessary inspections and we were kept notified of the progress. A very tough situation was well taken care of by everyone at Able Electric.

Within a few hours of purchasing the Deal, the owner of the company, Doug Jenkins, called me to set up a date for the service call. I originally purchased the 6 Circuit Deal. However, after talking with the tecnician, Russell, I decided the 10 circuit transfer panel more suited my needs. The company allowed me to pay the difference and upgrade to the 10 circuit panel. Russell worked with me to determine which circuits would best suit my needs in the event of a power outage.

My power to my house became very random, with some circuits working and some not. The major issue was that my well circuit was one not working.Abels listened to my problem, talked me through a few possible things to check. After we had gone over the checklist. he recommended that I call BGE to check the lines before he came over. HIs gut feeling was that it was an outside problem. I did call, it was a problem with the transformer, they fixed it and the problem was solved. What I loved about Able was that he took the time to walk me through what could possibly be the problem, gave me solid advice, and offered to stay on call until the problem was solved. When I called him back to tell him the solution, he answered right away. Keep in mind this was a Sunday late afternoon and he was willing to take the time to help me. No one else I called even responded! Would I recommend him just on this? Absolutely!

After getting an Angie's list special I was contacted quickly by the company to discuss the project and set up a date for service. The repairman arrived on time. The repairman was pleasant and answered my many questions. He assisted in determining which circuits the panel should cover. The job was completed properly, tested, and cleaned up appropriately.I appreciated his suggestions and timeliness.

Above all, they were very responsive. They addressed the issue and fully explained the problem and what was done to correct it. Price: very fair. Communication: Excellent and they were very friendly. Responsiveness: Outstanding; they came came quickly given the situation. Nice to have someone do the job they were hired for and at a reasonable price. Thank you for the great communiction and they really appeared to like what their job. Without a doubt, I would use them again and recommend them to others.

They staff was great, they really stood out and went above and beyond! Very Helpful!

Doug is the owner, and he always comes out to give the estimates. He does not try to up-sell you. He actually tries to give you a couple of options and arrange the prices which we really appreciated. He is really trustworthy and honest.

Very well, it was a bit of detective work for them to figure out what was wrong. A socket had a stain that looked like a smoke stain, it turned out the socket in the opposite wall was not grounded properly. Another time the power was out on half of one room, a socket in the kitchen and a socket in the dining room without any of the breakers falling. I am very impressed how he was able to figure a way to get that fixed by adding a new line from the main breaker and up through the attic!!

The contractor was late, but appoligized and gave reason why late. Very professional. Waiting for formal emailed estimate.

Douglas, owner of the company, came out to my place and estimated the price and time of repair. He was 100 percent good to his word. His electricians showed up on time everyday and were very professional. They did exactly what they said they would do and even threw in a few small little things that they had not priced into the work (value-added). I would highly recommend them to my mother and friends. This a company I can't say enough about.

Scheduling was easy, the company was very responsive and contacted me the same day I purchased my deal. During that conversation, the representative of the company guided me on what type of generator I'd need and how to select the circuits to use on the transfer panel. The technician arrived about 45 minutes after the appointment window began, and was very courteous, informative, and professional. He went out of his way to perform the installation according to my specifications and did a thorough demonstration after he was done, teaching me exactly how to use the generator and new transfer circuit panel in the case of a power outage. I'll definitely call Able Electric if I need an electrician in the future.

They were the first to give right away an over the phone estimate. Stated they do them quite often. Others had to look up the price and get back with us. They came out on time as expected. Russell called before to give a accurate time of when he was arriving. He came and got right to work. Didn't take him long; only an hour to do the job. We (my husband and I) asked details about what was installed (care and maintenance) able to give answers. Will call this company again for any major electrical upgrades.

I was trying to replace an outlet cover when the plastic on the 26 year-old outlet itself (where the plug goes in) actually crumbled. Yow! Because that outlet powered the nightstand lamp, clock radio, Caller-ID function on the phone, and the electric blanket, I wanted it replaced fast. I called Able Electrical Services, Inc. on 410-761-2253 at 9:50 AM. Tina, who answered the phone, worked with my schedule and had an electrician at my house within the hour. Kenny was courteous, professional, and got the job done quickly. I felt that he and Tina treated my very small job as though it were the most important thing in the world. I will happily do business with Able Electrical again.

They were great. They did a great job and the owner called and made sure that I was happy with the service. I called late at night and he had someone out to me first thing in the morning. They were fast and efficient and I had them do more work because they were so good. I definitely will call them if I ever have an issue. He was here when he said he would be here. I was very impressed.

My husband said that the fellow was very nice and the price was reasonable; I think they had a coupon. He was professional and really did not do anything because he could not find the line; he did not have the right equipment. He was nice and he tried.

Despite being in the middle of holiday season, Doug made great effort to schedule an inspection in time to meet my real estate contract requirements. Doug and Chuck arrived right on time for our appointment and were extremely thorough with their inspection. Not only did they inspect every electrical item in great detail but they used both my home inspection report and the seller's electrical repair report to ensure that every item was addressed. Doug spent all day following the morning inspection writing up a detailed report that I was able to take to my realtor. This report gave me leverage to have the seller repair some major items (like the entire house not having a ground!). The report identified code violations, permit violations, safety issues, and assessed the overall capacity of the system. I really feel they went above and beyond what I was expecting for the $240 fee. As a result of Doug and Chuck's professional and detailed work, I was able to get the seller to repair some major items before closing on the house, which saved me a great deal of money. The remaining work, which includes some upgrades to the system and bringing everything to code, I will have conducted by Able Electrical Services in the next week or so. I really trust that they will do the work right and give me peace of mind that what was a questionable electrical system with some safety issues will be fully upgraded. Able Electrical are clearly professionals who do not cut corners and take pride in their work. I have already recommended them to several friends and cannot recommend them highly enough. I'll be sure to report back on the work that they do for me next week. Thank goodness for Angie's List! I don't know how I would have found such excellent professionals as Able Electrical Inc without it!

An outdoor GFCI outlet went bad. Doug, the owner, came out because it was 2:00 p.m. Christmas eve and all the techs were gone home. Doug checked the line to see if there was current present and when he found that there was, he installed a new GFCI outlet. The entire process took approximately 15 minutes. Doug was very professional and informative, explaining what he was doing and what to look for in the future. He was also very personable and pleasant to converse with. We are going to have Able Electrical Services come to our house in 2013 after the holiday hubbub is over and give us an estimate for rewiring the entire house (the house was built with aluminum wire and we want copper everywhere)

Able rep arrived on time and performed the service I requested: new fixture installed, electrical system checked from fuse box,and outlet replaced. Able rep call me following the service and ask about the service. I explained everything was done as requested but stated the cost seemed high as compared to previous Angie list reviews. He stated he would check. The following day the owner called and said tlhat there was an error in the pricing and that it was adjusted reducing the cost by nearly a third.

I emailed the company, they responded the same day and had a technician out immediately to give estimate and look at work. Other places also charge a fee just to come out and do an estimate, which Able Electrical Services did not. Overall, very professional and if you have to provide quick written responses to a home buyer, I would highly rec' this company.

This job required knowledge and experience dealing with cutting-edge technology: a transfer switch that prioritizes which circuits draw power from the limited amount of back-up power supplied by my generator. As far as I have been able to determine, Able Electrical is the only contractor serving the Maryland suburbs of Washington that has the necessary expertise to install a "smart" transfer switch, which has saved me thousands of dollars by enabling me to avoid having to buy a generator capable of supporting all of the electrical appliances in my home simultaneously. The Able technician also advised me that I had bought the wrong kind of moderately powered generator -- I needed one capable of supplying 240 volts as well as 120 volts -- and his boss persuaded the firm that sold me the generator to allow me to trade it in and apply most of its purchase price as credit toward the kind of generator that I needed, even though I had bought the original generator nearly a year earlier.
