Called for the repair sometime in June. After a short notice missed appointment by the owner, another Tech came out a different day. The tubing was repaired and the system recharged. The next time I wanted to use the A/C in July it barely worked. I called and they asked if I could wait because my system was still working a bit. Over a WEEK later when I called again they gave excuses that other people didn't have A/C and my problem was low priority. A few days later after calling again someone did come and recharge the system. The next time I wanted to use the A/C in August it did not work at all. I called again and was told, "the owner, Dan said he would come out and make repairs" Well than never happened. After a month I wrote to the company and the owner, Dan, responded that he had been wanting to talk with me. I asked if after 6 weeks it was safe to say that he had forgot about me. He agreed and said he would call. He did call and left a msg. I wrote again telling him I would be willing to allow him some other work if he would credit the $537 already paid for about a weeks worth of working A/C all summer. He said it sounded good and would look into it and get back to me. Over a week has passed and based on past performance, I doubt I would have heard a peep. I would not recommend Daniel's HVAC to anyone, in fact, I would tell them specifically to not waste their time and money with this non-responsive business .
Description of Work: Called to repair a broken freon line and recharge the system.

Overall I've been happy with using Daniel's HVAC twice now. The first time I called Dan up to discuss a suspected faulty Honeywell gas valve and he was kind enough to discuss what he also thought about the problem and my diagnosis. He suggested that it sounded like it was faulty and could be replaced for around $300 and I could avoid his initial diagnosis fee if I wanted him to pick up the part and come out to install. I agreed since I was certain this was the issue. Dan arrived on time and did a careful job working in a confined space to remove the old gas valve and replace with a revised Honeywell unit. Dan kept his word and only charged me for the part and his labor, no extra diagnostic fee. The part and his worked was flawless and worked great, we have since sold that house. Due to my first experience with Dan, I decided to call him up again in order to get a professional HVAC (A/C unit) inspection & certification in order to sell the house as requested by the buyers. This time I did not deal with Dan, but another individual who was also very punctual and professional. Their fee was fair to go over the system. They did a very thorough cleaning of the outside condenser unit and made sure it was cooling at maximum capacity by adding in lost coolant. The work was satisfactory for myself and the buyer which of course help get our house sold.
Description of Work: Used Daniel's HVAC on 2 separate occasions, replaced gas valve & cleaned/charged A/C unit

I trusted them and will call them back for anything. I got them through my warranty company and their pricing was pretty competitive so I was not worried if I had to pay anything.

I was less than impressed with him because it cost us a lot of money. He didn't fix the problem and we had the same problem this year. He said we needed a new air conditioning system which would cost us $1600. He said Freon would not be able to go much longer and this year we had the same problem. He came out and charged us a fee and sent us a bill for $80 to come and see if it was the same problem and it wasn't. We decided to go with another company. Instead of paying $1500 we paid $240. He sent us a bill for something he did last year. We were disappointed and got ripped off. He came last year and it was fixed only through the summer and we had the same problem this summer. They were a big disappointment. I was disappointed that he came and billed us for just looking at his work that was supposed to be guaranteed and we had the same problem. He said it wasn't him and he just didn't fix the problem the last year. I am not impressed to get that $80 bill for something he didn't do and it was guaranteed. He took like weeks and he made it a big deal about Freon. The other company said there was no shortage of Freon. He was acting like we had to switch over because the government was going to make us do that because of the Freon and Freon was very expensive. The other place we went to said we needed a little and they talked to us about it. It is disappointing when you spend so much money on things and it is not done. If he had to do some thing poorly then I would have graded him higher but here he didn't do any job and he charged us for work that was not done. He came and checked us for work that he didn't do. I felt that he thought we could afford it and I can bill them for it and that is far from true. He made us believe that he was doing us a favor and he doesn't do this for everybody. My husband is gullible and he believes everything people say. He was disappointed in everything. All it did was make it through 2 months last year and we spent $1600 to have the same problem and he gave us $80 bill to come and check his work that was supposed to be guaranteed. He was not on time. I don't like getting ripped off. He took a long time last year as well. He said he had to buy a refurbished coil because they don't make it anymore. When it comes to air conditioning systems it is easy to find parts from the manufacturers.
Description of Work: I used the service of Daniel's HVAC to do some repairs for us last year.

We received a quote for the work and an analysis from a different company but it was out of our price range. Daniel's HVAC confirmed the analysis and gave us a more competitive quote for the same work. Daniel's HVAC called to follow-up after the visit to tell us that the part will only be under warranty for a short time. Daniel kept a good line of communication and followed-up after the work was done.
Description of Work: Removed reversing valve. Gave valve to manufacturer for warranty replacement. Reclaimed refrigerant. Performed oil acid test which resulted in "medium". Used acid neutralizer product. Checked for leaks. Evacuated and weighed in new refrigerant.
