JEFF THE PAINTER W/ STREAM VALLEY CONTRACTING

Jeff did an outstanding job repairing two areas of ceiling damaged from a roof leak. He replaced a ceiling in my entry way and replaced drywall and painted. The entryway looks better than it did when the work was first done years ago when we put on an addition. The dining room ceiling was patched - can't even see where- and the whole ceiling painted. He also repaired 2 damaged areas of drywall in my den. I couldn't be happier with the work and the price was very reasonable for the amount and quality of work. Jeff and Erin are wonderful people. I can see why they have such outstanding reviews. A friend had some work done and raved about their services. I totally agree and highly recommend them!

I got about three quotes for painting the wood trim on my house and garage. They were not that far apart, but Jeff gave me the most confidence. As a bonus, his fiancee is an interior designer and helped me pick a color. She and a helper also helped with the painting. They were very meticulous and neat. Jeff was very willing to work within my schedule constraints. When I decided I wanted the whole fence power washed, instead of just the steps, it was no problem to add that work in. The quote included painting the shutters, but ultimately Jeff advised against this because he saw that they needed to be replaced. The job took about four days.

Very professional, although not lowest bid I received, it was still a good price and his no hassle approach more than made up for the minor price difference. Jeff and his crew painted 4 bedrooms, LR, DR, 2 baths and basement rec room walls, trim and ceilings. Work progressed quickly and done to standard. Stream Valley also removed kitchen cabinets. Will be using him for additional work in near future. I highly recommend Jeff and Stream Valley! Thanks Jeff! Update on additional work: Had Valley Stream instal kitchen cabinets and was a bit disappointed in both the time it took and the finished quality of the work. There were seems in the middle of the millwork which are very distracting. I highly recomend the painters, but less enthusiastic about the construction part of the company.

Everything was great. Jeff actually came out twice to give us an estimate because we had put the work off after the first estimate. Jeff and Erin helped us choose colors and actually found the exact color we wanted for our living room in minutes even though we had been looking for months. They were always prompt and extremely hard. Jeff is very professional, but he's a lot of fun to have around too. While we were in the house during their working hours, conversation was fun and our son had a good time. All the walls and ceilings look great. We have picture crown moulding throughout and picture frame moulding in the living room and dining room and they did a great job on the trim. Our new wainscoating looks great, and that's considering a don't have a straight wall, wall, floor or ceiling in the house. Jeff even came back a couple of weeks after the work was done to touch up some of the trim damaged by work done on our hardwoods. I don't know if I covered everything, but the short of it is that if we need work done again, we will call Jeff.

It went great! Jeff's part of the painting was done in 3 days as scheduled. I cannot tell where the mildew and grease stains were. He noticed some serious rot behind the master bath wall and recommended a carpenter to fix it. He and the carpenter worked together to fix the rotten studs and replace and paint the drywall. They also cut down the interior doors to accommodate the new carpeting. I kept asking him for advice and help with little things and he took it all in stride. It was a pleasure working with him!

Jeff and his team are great! They had earlier fixed some plaster and drywall and done touch-up painting in our townhouse; they did a beautiful job at a reasonable price, so we asked them to do a more extensive job in our other house. The MBR job was much more time-consuming than we had anticipated, because the walls are broken up by dormers, and there was a large section of drywall that had to be replaced [the plumber had removed it the week before]. Again, Jeff and Erin did a beautiful, professional, top-quality job and at a more-than-reasonable price. We are delighted with the result and recommend them to everyone we know. They are also wonderful people!

Excellent experience. Jeff came in at a very reasonable price, was friendly, completed the job in a very reasonable time, and kept working at trouble spots (i.e. where some wallpaper had been) until it was perfect. The paint job itself was outstanding. Borders and trim were done perfectly!

It looks terrific. He came when he said he would, did what he said he would, and finished professionally. I got more than I paid for and would use him again.

Jeff responded promptly to my phone call, came soon for an estimate and started the work when we were ready for him. He helped us to choose the right finishes for our rooms and his partner, who is also a decorator, helped us with colors. The team arrived on schedule, moved and protected furniture, and completed the job on schedule in the time estimated. They also cleaned up thoroughly every day and at the end of the job. The kitchen cabinets were a big job - they removed all doors and drawers, and took off the hardware, also sanded everything. It all turned out beautifully and we are very satisfied. Everyone on the team was polite, friendly, and very careful. Would definitely hire Jeff and his team again.

Jeff was fantastic! He responded immediatley to my call, quickly came and performed the estimate and set up an appt to come and do the work. He and his team completed the work exactly as I had wanted and I could not be happier! The price was great. So nice, very responsive and extremely professional!!

Jeff and his team were super professional and did a great job. They got things done when they said they would, were clean and organized during the multi-day job and the house looks great!

We selected Jeff based on the Angie's List reviews, and we were not disappointed. He replied promptly to my initial message, and he was able to fit our job in within the week. The walls look great, and Jeff took care to move and cover our furniture and then return it to its original place. He and his partner even offered some helpful color recommendations. I just had my kitchen remodeled top to bottom and needed to find a painter. In the midst of the construction my family and I moved out temporarily and I literally waited till the last minute to call Jeff about painting the kitchen. I had used him about a year ago to paint my dining room and living room. He did a terrific job, was reasonably priced and was so nice to work with. He came the next day to give me an estimate that was more than reasonable and was able to start the job within a few days. He just finished all of the trim work and I am so pleased. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone! He's a great guy and does great work!! Thanks so much Jeff!

The experience was great. We had worked with Jeff on a number of occassions before and had always been very happy. We weren't disappointed this time around either. Our basement turned is attractive, comfortable and super functional. Jeff and his crew were eager to please and worked to meet each one of our needs. We could not be happier.

All the work was completed with fabulous attention to detail. Messes were cleaned, dings and dents were patched smoothly prior to painting, they even scraped and patched a disaster of a kitchen door. Jeff was punctual and he stayed in daily contact throughout the project (which took a week because I kept adding 'one more thing'). In addition, Jeff and his crew were really fun to have around. They like to joke and laugh, and it is clear they really enjoy and take pride in what they do (they even let the dog out while I was gone). I felt at ease both being in the house with them and leaving them to do their jobs. I have Jeff on speed-dial now!

Jeff was coming one evening to give me an estimate but he did not show or call. He said he had baseball playoffs for his son but it was a week before he got back to me. We set another date and he gave me an estimate for the work to be done. I called him a couple days later to have him do some of the work but he did not return my call. I called again almost a week later and left a message saying I was going to have another company come out and give me an estimate. Jeff called and left a message saying he got Lyme's disease. I would think each time he could have gotten someone to call me. The fact that this happened twice made me leary of hiring him. He was very pleasant when he came and gave me a good price but the situation did not give me confidence that the job would get done.

Jeff is very friendly, familiar with the area, and does great work. He was a nice guy to work with from start to finish. He worked independently and unsupervised in our home. He is trustworthy and does great work. We talked often by phone to coordinate the work.

Jeff kept in touch regarding price and scheduling. They were very professional and very quick. The living room ceiling patch is amazingly invisible.

Overall experience was great! This was my first time using Angie's List, so I called Jeff based on the high number of reviews, all positive, that he had received. I feel really fortunate because he, Miguel and Neal did a fabulous job. Jeff actually arrived 20 minutes early to provide the estimate for the work, and his estimate was about $600 cheaper than one we'd received from another company who's also on Angie's List. (We got that quote before I heard about Angie's, so I don't know if that would have made a difference in their estimate). I'd also told Jeff that I needed the job done during a specific period because my husband would be out of town and it wouldn't be as disruptive to the household. Jeff fit my project in, kept in touch with me prior to the start date, and accommodated my work schedule by getting to the house around 7:30 a.m. so I could still get to the office on time. He told me what was going to happen on day one, called me once during the day to ask a question, then left me a note about a couple other things that evening. Didn't hear from him at all on day 2, but came home to a beautiful living room and dining room and another note saying what would happen on day 3 and what time he thought they'd finish up. The whole job took only two and a half days, and the rooms all look terrific. And, I didn't expect this part: they moved the furniture back into place so that I wouldn't have to do it by myself. Really, I couldn't be more pleased with their work. I'm already thinking about my next painting project and will definitely call Jeff again!

Jeff the Painter was prompt, professional, and performed with high quality. He was right on time from the time he quoted the job to the four days it took to complete the painting. In addition to the quality of the painting, his preparation prior to starting was also very thorough. He has completed the first phase of the project and I am very satisfied.

Everything went as planned, no mishaps and beautiful results.

Up for the (hot) task he diligently worked to minimize damage to the walls in the paper-removal process, especially after finding that the majority of the walls hadn't been sized prior to papering over flat wall paint (thank you previous owners!) He adeptly dodged my kids, played with them and the dog, and worked with me to help clear some things out of the rooms that I was unable to by myself. He came a day earlier than we had planned due to a change in his schedule and tried to work as fast as possible with the challenges we presented. Trooper, hard worker, and good businessman are good words to describe him.

Great. 1st job was a rental. He was able to fit it in between jobs which allowed my tenants to move in ealier than anticipated. He did a fantastic job, and was done in less than a day. 2nd job, was my private residence based on the work done at rental. He called back immediately and was flexible with scheduling. Done in less than a day, this time I was around, and all of his workers were pleasant. They Left both jobs clean. He will be my painter of 1st choice.
