They seem like they're okay.

I've been going there for so long. I know where everything is. Every first Saturday of the month, they have these little activities for kids. I like to take my youngest daughter there from 9 to 2. You may have to build a little model car and do the paint in it in Home Depot. They bring in the best for doing it. My daughter loves it and I do too. They were given hotdogs for free. They have little prices and contests.

My experience was fine. I have not had any problems. They did a nice job. The kitchen looks good. It took much longer than it was supposed to. The price was mid-range. I got estimates from places that were a lot higher and places that were lower. The quality of service was excellent. There was no problems with their responsiveness. They were kind of slow.

They take returns and I like that. I've also had them deliver stuff. I'm very happy with them.

The door had to be special ordered, which took longer than expected. When calling the store to check on its status, it took forever to get anyone on the phone who could help me. The subcontractor, Cross Home Improvement, was excellent to deal with. The only problem was that the installer was over an hour late. Once here, however, he did an excellent job and took his time to make sure everything was installed properly. He had to rewrap the aluminum around the front door. This was a tedious process but he took his time and it looks great. From start to finish, he was here for over 5 hours. Cross Home Improvement called the next day to follow up and make sure I did not have any problems at all. I had priced doors through companies that specialize in them, and the prices ranged from $3,000 to $5,000. I got exactly what I wanted for less than half that price.

I love this store. They are always respectful, go out of their way to help. They gave me some advice on paint colors and other information since I will be painting most of my house. I am going to use the Behr Premium Paint and Primer but needed to get some sample jars to test the colors. They also had no problem with me taking several of the color cards so I could see the subtle differences in the light of my own home. I know several of the guys by name, as a female visiting a hardware store they always treat me with respect and are more than helpful in discussing options. I know my way around home improvements so it is nice to know they have the knowledge to discuss some of the details with me.

I interviewed several installers and looked at several window companies. I decided on Simonton windows after reading many reviews of various brands. Home Depot's sales rep, Adam, was only one month with the company. I had to be sure the details were correct. He was readily available by cell phone. He had one of the more experienced reps come to my home to answer some of my more detailed questions. It was then I discovered Home Depot's installers are not their employees, which I was misled to believe. I wanted a release of lien in that case. Once I was satisfied with the paper work, I signed the contract. I believe Adam was honest about making sure I was happy and he is customer focused. From contract signing to install was less than a month. The crew that installed did a great job. An accident occurred during the install. I think it is important to mention because accidents can happen; it's how it is handled that is important. The crew was removing a plate glass window and it broke in half. A corner hit my sofa and tore a hole in it. I called an upholsterer who came out the same day. The crew paid for it on the spot. They worked for about 10 hours and completed the job in one day.

It went excellently. They came right away, gave an estimate which was the best of which we received. The quality of the windows is great as well and they have been very helpful.

We were very happy with the work that this company did, it did take a little long for the windows to come in and the project coordinator was not the best but the installers were professional and helpful and they helped us get set up on a payment plan.

We requested a bid at the customer service desk at the store. The company representative called us within 24 hours to schedule a visit to our house. The salesman arrived promptly and was friendly. The bid for the insultion was much higher than the other bids we received for the work. We used another company tha submitted a lower bid.

I went to this Home Depot instead of the last one I went to, and what a mistake that was. They have the worst communication between the store and the installers. I never knew when they were coming to install my door. Then they got the wrong door; this one wouldn't close all the way. With all these problems, they still didn't give me any discounts.

There were a few "bumps" on the Home Depot side: their displays were being renovated so we had to visit Badolato the installers showroom so see all the samples; there were two delays, one because all of the designers were out at designers shows one week and another because our designer was ill for a few days (OK, nobody's fault but the store didn't seem to have a plan for these situations). All was made well when the coordinator, Vicky, dropped what she was doing and spent a couple of hours with me, which included making a couple of calls to the installer and resolved all remaining issues and questions. The installation went smoothly. We were very pleased with the appearance of the SileStone and how nicely the edge finishes were done. The quality of the installation was top-notch especially how nicely the pieces were fitted together. They also installed the sink without additional cost. Two minor complaints: borrowing our wet/dry vac (shouldn't have asked) and the shims visible.

They did a pretty good job. The first guys that came out were afraid of the hornets. They ended up sending out another group of people the next day. I was impressed on how they handled it.

One thing we really loved about working with Home Depot was that there was no money down and they were paid when the job was done. So many times in the past I have been ripped off by contractors getting most of their money up front and then doing a bad job. These men that came out where professional and the quality of the work was excellent! I highly advise everyone reading this to consider Home Depot first and foremost when considering a large project like a kitchen redo, and won t hesitate to use them again.

Installation went fine, but there was a problem with the water heater and it didn't work the first time it was installed. They came back out the next day and fixed it with no charge.

April 2006: Explained that we were replacing doors because of lead paint and new born baby on way in September. Scheduled measuring and confirmed that we would receive an estimate once the measuring was completed. They said the measuring would take place within two weeks, it took a month. Never called us to provide estimate. Called Home Depot. Transferred a bunch of times, couldn't get hold of the Mill-work Specialist. Drove there. No estimate available. Happened several times. Finally estimate comes in and salesman says no need to replace transom (no lead paint), only doors. Agreed to estimate/paid with credit card. Custom order that could not be refunded. Agreed because we told them exactly what we wanted, THEIR people came to house, measured, provided estimate for all materials/work that THEY DETERMINED needed to be done. Contractor never calls to schedule. In SEPTEMBER they finally arrive. Tell us we need to replace transoms, as well (lead paint). Another 8 WEEKS to order!

The delivery and installation were very quick and on time. The guys who came were great, but they work for GE (I bought a GE range). However, it is very hard to reach customer service with Home Depot if you have any questions. I got caught in a voice mail nightmare several times, where none of the options fit what I needed. The price for the range was very good, and I will be getting a rebate for the delivery charge ($55).

I was planning on buying carpet for a master bedroom. I made arrangements for the person who does the measuring to come out and told the salesman I did not want a seam down the middle of the room. He said tell the guy who measures. I told the guy who measured and he said tell the installer. When the salesman called to give a price, I asked about the seaming. He looked at the drawing and said there was a seam down the middle of the room. I purchased carpet elsewhere and got the service I wanted.

Ordering the door in store was a very pleasant experience. The contractor called to schedule a time with me for both failed installations and their staff was pleasant and courteous both times. The contractor showed up, on time, during both attempts. The experience of returning this door at the Home Depot was a largely unpleasant one as I was made to feel that this happens all the time and that I should allow them a 3rd attempt. I will never use Home Depot for any home improvement project again. While I cannot say if it was Home Depot's staff that screwed up or the contractors, the experience was a big waste of my time.

I was going to do the work myself as I am pretty handy but I am so glad I had Home Depot do the job. It took a lot longer than I expected, the workers showed up a day late but I was called ahead of time. They worked non stop for four hours, cleaned up everything and came back 2 days later to tidy up some loose ends to my satisfaction. I would use them again and would rate them a ''B''

One of the windows was defective; it doesn't close properly. When I went back to the store, the associate that took my order wasn't very helpful. Not a good experience.

THEY PROVIDED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN ANSWERING QUESTIONS REGARDING THE SIZES, TYPES, AND EFFICIENCY LEVELS. THE INSTALLATION PEOPLE WERE ABLE TO REMOVE OUR OLD SYSTEM AS THEY INSTALLED THE NEW ONE.

WHEN WE DECIDED TO REMODEL OUR KITCHEN WE NEEDED TO LOOK AT A WEATHER EFFICIENT DOOR. THE DOOR WE HAD WAS THE ORIGINAL DOOR AND THE COLD AIR CAME THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE IT WASN'T CLOSED. WE WENT TO THE STORE AND PICKED OUT THE DOOR. THE INSTALLATION WAS FOUR WEEKS LATER. EVERYTHING WENT EXTREMELY WELL, THEY EVEN DISPOSED OF THE OLD DOOR AND CLEANED UP THEIR MESS.
