Cleanup Steemer

He stretched the carpet when he was doing it, but it shrunk back when it was dry. I wasn’t happy about that. But the carpet was cleaned. My schedule was pretty complicated and given my limits, they were pretty responsive. I've moved to the opposite coast so I won't be using them again in the future.

They did a very good job. They were here when they were supposed to and I was very happy. What I liked the most about the service is they came on time; they were very efficient, they got right to it and the carpet looked clean. They were pleasant.

It went alright. But we ended up going with another company later on, and we liked them actually a whole lot better. Cleanup Steemer was very good as far as when they came in here and did a professional job. It’s just that like so many other companies that use steam cleaning it was quite a while drying out. We got the other company through Angie's List. We saw a bargain through them and since it had gotten good reviews, we decided we would give them a try and we were quite pleased with the way it turned out. It was a good price. I don’t think we would use Cleanup Steemer again in the future, because we found a company that we like and they seem to do a better job as far as the drying time.

They were area rugs and it wasn't wall to wall carpets. The price was fair.

Fine. I thought a lot of the stains had come out, but once the carpets dried they reappeared.

My basement had a few inches of standing water after the hurricane because my sump pump did not work. Cleanup Steemer came out a couple of hours after I called them and began work quickly. I was told that if I paid my deductible, they would bill my insurance company for the remainder. I had not heard of that being done but I agreed because my insurance company already told me I had sump pump coverage. The work was done over the next 4-5 days. Eventually my adjuster came out and inspected the basement (there was a delay due to the hurricane and the claim volume). He requested invoices from the work that was done and I told him I didn't have one for the mitigation so he contacted Cleanup Steemer himself. They didn't have an invoice in spite of the fact that it had been a couple of weeks since the work was completed but they agreed to send one. After they did, the adjuster called me because much of what was on the bill did not line up with what I had told him about the damage and the repairs. For example, the bill claimed that there was 2.5 feet of water in my basement, when there was approximately 4 inches. Many of the hours billed were for work outside of business hours, when Cleanup Steemer only came to my house one day outside of business hours (on a Sunday, of their own volition...I certainly did not request it). The invoice was also far above what the adjuster had alloted for water mitigation in my claim. At that point, I sent Cleanup Steemer a letter (via email) requesting an invoice that accurately reflected work done. The response was first indignant that I would question the integrity of a former member of the US military, and telling me that I "should have been happy and appreciative for the good job we did for you and the time manner in which we responded to your call." It also informed me that neither I nor the adjuster have the technical expertise to understand the invoice and that if I complained about it, it would be libel. I replied back that it does not require technical expertise to look at a clock when they arrived and left my house, nor does it require technical expertise to measure water levels and to know that it was approximately ankle deep and not thigh deep (which 2.5 feet would amount to). At that point I contacted my adjuster, who contacted Cleanup Steemer and got them to agree to adjust their charges to be in line with the insurance estimate (a reduction of approximately $1600).. According to the adjuster, Cleanup Steemer stated that perhaps there was some confusion because of the number of jobs they did in the wake of the hurricane. Except to me, the response was that they were amending the invoice because I sent him the "letter of aggravation"...not because the invoice did not accurately reflect the work done. When the proper invoice was finally issued, he called me repeatedly to find out where his money was, even though I explained to him that the money was held up because the insurer and my mortgage company (who was a party to the check) would not disburse the money for the original invoice because it was so much higher than the insurance company's estimate. While I appreciate that Cleanup Steemer responded promptly to my call, the inaccuracy of the invoice and the negative response of Cleanup Steemer to my concerns was unacceptable. The bottom line is that there was not 2.5 feet of water in my basement as the invoice submitted to my insurance company for payment stated, and the fact that the company was hostile to me rather than apologetic when I pointed this out is troubling, to say the least.

They came out and steamed cleaned the carpets throughout our home. They were very polite and punctual. They did a good job with the cleaning. We were happy and satisfied with their service.

This service was completed a long time ago so don't remember details - just remember being satisfied.

From beginning to end these guys were great. Highly recommend and we will use them again. Excellent price and excellent value!

I had a difficult time scheduling an appointment and the customer service was not good. However, the work he did was great and it was better than a previous company we used.

I was not there during the time of the service but we have no complaints.

Not well! When I got home, my wife informed me that she had gotten from Angie's list had arrived and was under the impression that we had hired him, when all we wanted was an estimate.The cleaner had started cleaning although I did not discuss with him the work that I expected to be done, which obviously included moving the beds to do the entire carpet throughout the rooms. When I offered to help him move the beds, he said that he sprayed something underneath the beds! That is not what I call shampooing the carpets. In addition, the primary reason for calling him in the first place was to eliminate a stain that was next to one of the beds. That was not accomplihed either. The man that did the work did not appear to understand English very well and I couldn't seem to get across that I wanted the WHOLE CARPET CLEANED! I won't recommend them to anyone, unless they come back and do the job properly.

Came early (on a holiday) did a great and thorough job- all spots were gone- carpet looks brand new - saved me from having to replace the carpet.

Newly bought house was still unoccupied. I wasn't there, but my son was. No problems.

We used this company because of their "Big Deal" offer (one area of carpet and one upholstered piece), but I knew I wanted additional furniture and carpeting done as well. Our carpet was very dirty because one of our pets had been very sick, and despite our best efforts to clean it ourselves nothing had worked. I really didn't know if the carpeting could be cleaned well enough to save. The gentleman who came to our home did an outstanding job, pre-treating all of the stained areas and really scrubbing the rug well. I've used several steam cleaning companies in the past and I don't think any has ever spent so much time and effort on the job. He just left, and the carpets look beautiful now. I know that the stains may reappear over time (it's happened with other cleaners) but I think they look as good as anyone could make them look. My family is very pleased with the result. I highly recommend this company--they really worked hard, and they'll absolutely get my business again.

I needed the carpets cleaned after moving out, prior to settlement on the sale of my house, so the work had to be done within a 2 day window. It wasn't particularly difficult because the carpeting was newly installed, (buyers had pet allergies). I had called several other companies but they were either already booked or were not working over Memorial Day weekend, so I was really pleased that VIP Steemer was willing to come on a Sunday morning. I was also very happy with the price they quoted over the phone of $180. The day of the work, after waiting 30 minutes past the 9:00 appointment time and hearing nothing, I finally called and was told by the technician that he was having mechanical trouble with his truck. At first he said we would have to reschedule. When I got upset and said that the work HAD to be done that day because the house was being sold, he offered to call me in the afternoon to let me know whether he would be able to come.that day. Out of desperation I ended up going out and renting a Rug Doctor and started the work myself. The VIP Steemer guy showed up in the afternoon, without calling in advance to let me know he got the truck to start. It took him over a half hour to get the compressor working, but eventually it did start. I had only gotten a portion of the work finished with the Rug Doctor, so I let him do the rest. When he finished, the carpets were definitely clean, but they really weren't dirty to begin with. My overall impression is that they do acceptable work, and certainly at competitive prices. Just be careful about depending on their reliability and communications.

They were running a special. They were very professional and did a good job. They were on time and I would use them again.

Arrived on time, Went to work immediately. Did an excellent job on the stairs but did not move all furnitue to reach remote places.

The gentleman called me to arrange for the cleaning. I didn't return his call for a couple of weeks, as I didn't need the work done immediately. When I did call, he was very accomodating with my schedule, even offering to come on a Sunday. Instead we settled on an afternoon during the week. On the day of the cleaning, he called to confirm, and asked if he could come an hour earlier. That was fine with me. He was polite, professional, and hard-working. I had been concerned that he would use a scented product, as that would give me a migraine. He assured me that he uses only a scent-free detergent and hot water. True to his word, there was no scent involved in the cleaning. He was very thorough, and I am extremely pleased with the result. I would definitely use his services again. He told me that they also offer flood clean-up services.

I contacted VIP Steemer Maryland last night around 5:30pm from an Angie's List Big Deal I purchased back in November. He had an opening the next day (today) so I scheduled for a 9am appt. He showed up at 8:45 and promptly got to work setting up the equipment. I had more square footage than the coupon had allowed for so I didn't mind paying for the difference. Especially after seeing the great job he did. The carpets look great, even got a lot of stains out that I wasn't sure he would. I would recommend Ignatius to friends looking for a great carpet cleaner.

I called VIP Steemer, left name, phone, message, asked for reply; no reply. I emailed; no reply. Finally set a date on third try. When VIP technician arrived, I showed him 1 large bedroom, hall, and stairs; I had moved all small items off the rug and said to leave large furniture items. He said that it was over 900 sq ft, without measuring. I had measured before and measured again, showing him that total was less than 600 sq ft. Work was done capably and on time.

They showed up promptly, were very organized, and did an outstanding job. I was very impressed with how renewed our carpet and chair looked, and the two of them worked very hard to make sure we were happy. I would definitely use them again.

I discovered the coupon was dated incorrectly after they said it had expired. With help from Angie's List, this was straightened out.

This was a very satisfactory experience. After purchasing the coupon, I left the company (the man goes by the name "I-G") a phone message, which he returned promptly. He was able to schedule the service on the upcoming Saturday. He had to change the time once (same day, but later), but when he did, he was on time -- even a little early -- calling in advance to let me know he was coming. Unlike many carpet companies, he did not push me to buy a lot of "extras" like deodorizing and so forth. He finished the job a little faster than he predicted, and the carpets came out significantly cleaner than with other companies I have used. I will definitely call them again.
