858 Flooring did an excellent job. They stayed on schedule and were pleasant to work with. We love the tile and the great job they did installing it.

Grant, the owner, was prompt in coming out for the initial estimate back in November. He gave us guidance on purchasing tile, measured the vanities with the dimensions needed to replace the counters and said he could remove and replace the toilet. At that time we let him know that it would be in March or April before we would have the work done. He was fine with that and over the months we contacted him for feedback on the tile we wanted to buy. We scheduled the job and he and his assistant came out and did the work in under two days, including removing the old toilet, replacing some plywood and installing the new toilet. We are very pleased with the result and have requested an estimate for additional work. We would certainly do business with Grant again and recommend him to anyone needing a new floor.

Grant is great to work with. He is very responsive and prompt. We had flooring installed (hardwood, carpet and laminate) in several locations. Grant was very professional and worked on weekends to fit in with our schedule. The end products look great. He was also very reasonably priced. We will definately use him in the future.

Very prompt response to my phone call & home visit for estimate. Emailed quote which was fair and reasonable. Good communication overall. Did not use because I have not yet found flooring to match existing hardwood.

Grant did a great job with the tile in our bathroom. He was very attentive to our needs throughout the project. He even did a little extra work at for us at no charge. I would highly recommend his services.

They had to remove our door and they did not place it back the same way that it was initially. We?re not able to lock our door like it was before, it is not lined up. We don?t know why and we had them come back to re-do it and it gotten worst, so that is a bit of an issue. Otherwise the floor looks fine. I guess it?s the carpenters, I don?t know why the door did not line up4 and they claimed that it was because it?s old and it wasn?t lined up. But it was lined up because we did not have a problem with it before and now we do. So that was not really taken care of. The floor is a small area and the floor is fine. I will probably not use them again.

I purchased this as a big deal. Grant promptly got in touch, set an appointment and showed up on time. He carefully measured the space, gave me recommendations, and prepared an estimate for the entire job, to lay tile for a 210 square foot kitchen. He explained where to get the tile, and the type of tile, and suggested that he possibly could get me a better price once I priced the tile. Immediately after I priced the tile, I emailed him about the tile, and he quickly emailed back, helping me with a final decision about the tile. He picked up the tile for me and two weeks later, he began the work which took two days. He and his assistant George were terrific. They arrived timely, worked diligently, and carefully and professionally installed cement backing, tile, and grout. The floor looks wonderful.

Had to remove pocket door to shorten by 3/4". No problems. All went as planned.

I purchased laminate about a month prior and installed it 85% of the way before realizing that one of the areas was not level and caused a significant dip in the laminate. Because of the area where the imperfection was, i needed to take up the entire floor to get to it to fix. After doing so, and "playing" with multiple bags of leveling cement i became to tired and annoyed to continue. I contacted three different companies on Angies List to get pricing on 1) Leveling the floor and 2) re-installing the laminate that i had taken up. 858 flooring had the best price for both of these. Grant came out and gave me some advise on what i needed if i decided to lay it on my own and just used them to level the floor. On the day of the installation Grant and George showed up the morning after it had snowed 6-8 inches that night. The roads were bad but they still showed up on time. They got started and answered all the question we had. They were professional and courteous and did a wonderful job. Will definitely use them for any future jobs.

We could not be happier. I highly, highly recommend 858 flooring. I called for an estimate and Grant arrived the next day. After getting another estimate from another contractor we went with 858 Flooring and I am glad we did. They arrived on time the day that was scheduled and the work was actually completed a little earlier than expected. You can see that Grant takes pride in his work, he and his helper were very professional and had a great attitude. Like I said earlier, we could not be happier. We highly recommend this contractor for any flooring work.

I paid a couple of $100 in addition to the big deal amount for the work I had done. They were very flexible. I was actually doing it for my rental house in Baltimore and I was in another city. They were very flexible in dealing with the tenants as well as myself. I chose them because they had a good price. They were fairly flexible as cost beating. My friend says it looks nice.

First and foremost, I was confident and comfortable with the members of 858 flooring from the start. The were right on-time for the initial estimate, very curteous, honest, and professional. The estimate was provided to me within 24 hours and was the most reasonable price I had received, compared to 2 companies whom I had been in contact with previously. They were very flexable with scheduling a date to start the job, and I felt as if I were a priority for them. The job took 4 days for which they showed up on time everyday, worked very diligently, and displayed true craftsmanship with their attention to detail. My expectations were exceeded by the time the job was complete. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone.

It went very well. I met with Grant, the owner of 858 Flooring, to discuss flooring needs. My wife and I have 2 very large dogs, who occasionally have accidents, and wanted something much more reliable than carpet. He made sure we ended up with the right product. We visited a show room (Pro Source) to select one, and Grant made several recommendations on which products work best. We decided to go with luxury vinyl plank. It's hard to tell it's not hardwood, and makes our upstairs look a lot better. We were pleased with the price. We priced out the same job with Next Day Floors (labor plus materials), and found that 858 flooring offered a much better deal. Grant orders flooring supplies directly from the supplier, and he can often save you money. After putting down a 1/3 deposit to order materials, service was scheduled. Grant and another person worked for 3 days to complete the job. 858 Flooring did a very good job, and have a good eye for detail. Nothing at all looked even remotely shoddy. I'm considered replacing some existing carpet downstairs, and I would definitely use 858 Flooring again.

858 Flooring did a tremendous job with the tile floor installation, from start to finish. The owner, Grant, came out and gave me a free estimate. The estimate was fully itemized and easy to understand in addition to being a very fair price. There was some back and forth exchange as we were deciding exactly what we wanted done and he was always very prompt and courteous in his responses. They showed up right on time for the install, worked all day and did a great job cleaning up before they left. We are very happy with the final product and would definitely use 858 Flooring again in the future.

Excellent service provider. Grant was here on time to give me an inhome estimate on December 31, and ready to start work on January 2. He and George were on time, polite, and professional. They did a fantastic job installing the backsplash, cutting around several outlets and preparing the surface (both wood and drywall) for the metal tiles. They completed the job in a timely fashion, and it is a terrific result. I strongly recommend them to all looking for tile work.

This company is great. Grant was able to swing by and give us a reasonable estimate within a couple of days after I called. He knows his stuff and explained what would need to be done and caveated that it maybe difficult if the squeaks derived from under the wall. The squeaking was incredibly loud in various parts of the floor in both the nursery and the guest room next door, we were desperate to get it fixed. In the end, the main squeaks were caused by joists under the wall and Grant was able to fix them. There is still a little squeak in the room but it is minimal compared to what Grant corrected and we were really excited he was able to do what he did. We definitely plan on using 858 Flooring again for our future flooring needs.

Grant, the owner of 858 Flooring and his employee George did a great job. They completed all the work in 5 days, starting on Monday morning and completing the job on Friday evening. Grant was a craftsman in all 3 phases of the work - ceramic / glass tile, luxury vinyl tile floor and hardwood floor. The back splash was a tedious, time consuming job, but Grant was diligent and patient, particularly as my wife was finalizing the design with him as he worked. The luxury vinyl tile floor was also customized and it is beautiful as is the hardwood floor. Throughout all phases of the planning and actual installation, Grant was responsive, punctual and pleasant. But most importantly he is excellent at what he does.

It was great working with 858 Flooring. Grant Rowan owns the company, did the estimate himself, and did the work himself with a second guy. Grant was very quick to schedule a time for an estimate and to provide the actual estimate. I appreciated that his estimate broke out the cost for various portions of the install. I especially appreciated that he indicated what materials I would provide (40 sq ft of tile, 10 lb grout, basically the parts of the floor that you can see), and what he would provide (cement board, thinset). Other estimates I got were all-inclusive and did not indicate what kind of tile or grout would be used, or how much cost allowance was being provided for those items. Grant charged $681 for install and supplies, andI provided tile, grout, and molding costing about $230, for a total cost of $911. Other estimates I got were $950 (2 estimates), $2000, and $3000. Grant provided suggestions about the project, while leaving the ultimate decisions up to me. He was willing to work with the tile I picked out, rather than requiring me to buy from particular suppliers. He responded quickly to my questions on email and did the work exactly when we scheduled it for. I was concerned about the state of the underlying sub-floor, and he discussed the issues thoroughly. The floor looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with it.

We purchased the Angie's List deal, $599 for a New Ceramic Tile Floor or Back Splash, Including Labor and Materials, to redo the floor in our kitchen. Our floor was definitely larger than the square footage in the deal so we expected some additional cost. Also we decided to redo our floor since our fridge leaked due to a cracked drip pan causing some wood rot in the subfloor. Grant came and gave us a rough estimate of the cost and told us to go to the tile shop to look at tiles since we were undecided. He seemed knowledgeable of the procedure and answered all of our questions. After choosing a tile, Grant was able to get it a bit cheaper than the advertised price and set us an estimate very quickly. We scheduled our appointment and he was very accommodating and he had weekend hours so we didn't have to take off a lot of time from work. Grant confirmed our appointment, but I didn't notice that the confirmed date was a day earlier, so he and his crew came a day early. Even though were weren't ready for him, they were patient will we unhooked the dishwasher. They worked worked diligently in subprime weather (rain and high winds), and although they didn't get as far as they wanted due to the wierd shape of our kitchen which required more cuts of the cement board, they worked till late ~6pm. The next day, they finished the tiling and had to wait for it to dry prior to grouting it. The next day, they grouted and were done at 12ish. The floor looks great. Feels sturdy. No more creaking since they fixed that problem. They were helpful and we love our floor. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Grant and his assistant were very professional. They clearly explained what materials they needed, how much material to purchase and their plan of action. The finished job was great.

Grant was on time for the estimate, and communicated with us each step he took. When he came to install, there was a miscommunication that we were to supply the supplies (tiles, grout etc) to get the job done. When he arrived and we did not have any items, he made the trip to home depot and picked up the tile we wanted with no issues. He chose the correct supplies to get the job done. He came back on Saturday to complete the grout and cleaned up.
