Grant & George were prompt, professional and skilled in doing the LVT installation at a very reasonable price. Because of the size of the job they had to return a second day to complete it and because they were doing such a good job I asked them to see what they could do to remove some carpet wrinkles that had appeared over the years. After they finished the LVT they worked on the wrinkles in three rooms and I was amazed that the wrinkled areas are now virtually invisible. Since, other than the flooring, my basement was finished, they cut the door trim as necessary to install the LVT and also moved furniture out of the way as they progressed. With the type of carpet stretching equipment that they used, furniture movement was kept to a minimum, but with this too they moved what couldn't be avoided out of the way. I would definitely use 858 Flooring again and would highly recommend them to others.

The is the second time that we've used 858. Grant and George are the best!! I can't say enough about the quality of their work. I've worked with a lot of contractors over the years and I find these guys to be honest, trustworthy and fair. We had them install a tile floor and shower. I'm an admitted perfectionist. When I do projects I'll labor over making sure that all the joints fit properly and that everything is square. If you're the kind of person that demands high end quality at an affordable price than you need to hire these guys. You will not be disappointed!!

After a difficult kitchen reno where showing up on time was an after thought, 858 was a breath of fresh air! Professional attitude and good work at a reasonable price. Really really saved our entire kitchen in one day! Thanks again.

858 was great to work with. Grant was very responsive from the time that I contact him for an estimate through the end of the project. He also responded quickly to additional email inquiries that I sent to him regarding products, etc. The team arrived on time and worked diligently the whole day until the job was completed. We are pleased with the results and would use 858 again if the need arises.

From the very beginning Grant was very responsive and professional - anything that I picked in terms of the flooring and carpeting he was able to use his sources to get a better price. Every detail was covered. Once the work started I decided to stay home from work just to make sure that George and Grant didn't need anything from me but after a couple of days I could see that I was definitely not needed and that these guys really know how to get the job done. Everything was finished on time and the furniture was all moved back neatly into place. I really have nothing but great things to say about Grant and George and would definitely recommend them.

Grant's team arrived on time and did a great job installing a new tile floor and backsplash in our kitchen. They were professional and conpleted the job in 2.5 days. Everything went well and our kitchen looks amazing.

Fantastic! Grant was very responsive, courteous, and professional. He explained each step of the project and what needed to be done, particularly after water rot was discovered in the wall of the shower. The remodel was beautifully completed and Grant was able to incorporate all of our nice-to-haves seamlessly. Fantastic work and we plan on asking Grant to do more remodel work for us in the future. Grant and team were excellent. They arrived on time, completed all of the work within the time estimated and did an exceptional job. The work by far exceeded all of my expectations and I couldn't be happy. I highly recommend them.

My daughter had used 858 to install hardwood flooring and I was impressed by the quality of their work. The pre-job communication is excellent and they worked with me re: date for install and other misc things I wanted them to do in association with the install. Their prices for installation are slightly higher than a big box store, but comparable to local carpet company installers for removal of old carpet and new installation. Grant and George arrived promptly at scheduled time and began work immediately. They took a long time to do a quality installation that was superior to what had been done before. They finish off all the necessary details (trimming doors, cleanup, etc). I would use them again for any flooring installation that I needed.

I purchased the Big Deal for bathroom tile installation. The cost listed above included the purchase of the Big Deal. (*I had to provide all tile/grout.) Grant removed vinyl flooring and prepped floor for ceramic tile. Tile work was completed quickly and cleanly. He was on time and thorough. Would highly recommend Grant at 858 Flooring.

Grant provided a detailed estimate in a timely response that let us determine what demo work we wanted to do ourselves to save money. From there we selected the materials from the list provided from 858 Flooring. Grant was quick to respond to emails with any questions that we had. The install went very well, they showed up around 8:15 everyday and wrapped up around 4:45 and were very professional. First thing that was done when they walked through the door was to lay down protective paper on our carpet. Job took 4 days total and we are happy with the look. Only thing I could think of for improvement would be better exterior clean up as we have chunks of grout in our grass but overall they provided a great service and most importantly had great communication which is why we chose this company over others. I highly recommend them and plan on using them for our upstairs bathroom remodel.

Grant was very responsive and easily worked around my work schedule to provide an estimate in the evening. He understood my desire for durable, non-staining grout that did not have to be sealed and provided information on a couple of options. He suggested a tile store, and once I had chosen the tile, he was able to get the tile from them at a better price. He and George started installation on Labor Day (!); installation took 2 1/2 days. They cleaned up after themselves each afternoon and left no mess. Theywere nice and courteous and answered all my questions. I would definitely work with them again and recommend them highly.

Grant says he's scheduling work out 3-4 weeks at this time. He does not use subcontractors and does all the work himself with an assistant. He has been in the business for years and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of tile and grout. He makes recommendations based on his extensive experience that seem very reasonable to me. He will be able to provide a cost estimate for the work I need done once I select the tile I prefer for the back-splash. He said that if I pick a straight-forward design, it should take one day to complete, but if I pick a design with various colors and shapes it may take longer to layout, cut and install. Bonus for us is that Grant is dog-friendly- we have a disruptive chihuahua and he was completely un-fazed and actually made friends with our feisty pup.

The entire project went surprisingly well. Grant came over almost a year before the project was completed to give me a quote for the fireplace stone. This was a very large project and one that I agonized over doing because I imagined it to be extremely messy and dusty. I got 2 or 3 quotes and his was half the highest quote and he seemed reliable so it was a no brainer. It took a while to get the stone in and he honored the price when we finally booked the job. He was the perfect contractor - on time, clean, and only involved you when he had a question about something. He was actually nice which was so refreshing after dealing with other contractors for a year. While he was there doing the stone, I asked him to tile the bathroom floor upstairs which turned out beautifully. I'm so glad he did it because we were originally going to do it ourselves. Both projects look great. I have several other projects for him and I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends which I already have.

Grant was very prompt in responding to our request for a quote. He was very thorough in evaluating the work to be done and identified the best solution. He was very prompt and stayed true to the work schedule he laid out for us. He was on the job each day and provided oversight as well as did the majority of the work, along with George, his partner. Both men were professional, friendly and considerate. Throughout the job, he consulted us for our input, at the same time providing his professional opinion. Grant is meticulous about his work and the end result really shows it. We couldn't be more pleased.

During the estimate, we selected our hardwood to match the existing flooring in adjacent rooms. He was willing to look for a better price on any carpet we selected. He also suggested correcting the seam between our hardwood and the stair carpeting. I always was bothered by the bump on the top stair, but did not know there was a better (correct) way to have had that done. The installer kept in contact with us to make sure our hardwood would be in the house before the actual install. He arrived promptly on the agreed upon day to begin work. My husband and I noticed his careful attention to details. The new flooring lines up perfectly with the old floor. On the second day of work, he did not rush to finish the hardwood, but stayed later (making a long day for him) to make sure that all the trim, caulk, and putty work was complete and done well. He did this because he knew it was the right way to finish that part of the job, not because I asked him to stay later. I especially appreciate this because it allowed me to begin putting my rooms back together early the next day. He was respectful of our furniture, which he moved carefully and efficiently. He made sure I was aware that he would be available to help replace it the next day while he was installing the carpet. The carpet installation was just as professional. He took the time to find and correct every squeak on the stairs. I was also impressed by his care in controlling the mess from removing the old carpets. He set up in the driveway and we found not even one staple or nail.

They recommended a source for flooring materials. When we visited the establishment the prices were very high. We checked with the provider and he was okay with our going to another source. This delayed the installation somewhat. . We got our flooring for less than half the price of the first estimate. The company came when we scheduled, worked all day and did a very nice job on the flooring. They were unable to complete the flooring in the laundry room because of a problem moving the dryer. although the installation looks very nice, there was a problem with three exposed nails at the top of the stairs. when I called they were very nice and promised to come out to fix the exposed nails and complete the laundry room flooring installation. Although I have reviewed the company the work has not been completed and I will complete the review upon completion of the work.

Everything was great. Grant was incredibly responsive and informative from the initial estimate. He was patient in explaining our options in detail. We found this to be helpful given that we didn't know much about tiling or replacing a shower pan. He laid our options out for us clearly and left the decision up to us without applying any pressure. Whenever we had a question for him via email, he was very quick to respond. There was about a month and a half between when we agreed to go with this company and when the service was actually performed, as there was a large commercial job and other residential jobs ahead of us in the queue. That timeline worked fine for us, so we were happy to wait in order to get Grant's expertise. Throughout that period, we didn't feel neglected as Grant continually checked in with us to let us know how his progress was going and see if we had any additional comments or concerns. The service went off without a hitch, even though our case was somewhat difficult. We wanted to save the tile that was already on the walls but replace the shower pan and the floor tile. Grant and George removed, disassembled, and disposed of our old shower door without damaging the wall tile. Before they could install our kitchen backsplash, we needed to remove an appliance garage that was wasting counter space. Grant conveniently removed it for a minimal fee, while it would have taken me much more effort to either figure out how to do it safely myself or bring in a handyman to do it. Both the shower floor and our backsplash look great. Grant and George brought a level of craftsmanship and professionalism that was lacking previously. We would be happy to use them again

Job was done on time and within budget. There were no surprises. Workmanship was superior. The estimate they provided was the most detailed I've ever received. The job involved demo of the entire bathroom wall surround and installing cement backer board on the floor and walls which were then tiled. The tile job itself is superior. Its now 3 months since completion and only one minor problem cropped up which was promptly fixed. Grant, one of the principals was extremely easy to work with. As one can imagine there were changes made as we went along and he was always looking for a solution, rather than saying it can't be done.

Grant responded the same evening that I contacted him re: coming out for an estimate. We were able to schedule it 2 days later. Initially had wanted hardwood installed on 1st and 2nd floors, but we decided to go with a high quality hardwood and so had to adjust our plans to include just the first floor for now. He responded quickly to both email and texts to the many questions that I had re: adjusting what we would be doing to get within our budget. Grant was able to recommend several places where we could go to look at floor samples and was ultimately able to get us a lower price/sq. ft than we would have been able to get without his discount. The original floors hadn't been installed properly and Grant clearly knew what he was doing when he discussed how he would go about doing the project. Because we met with him before we actually closed on the house, he was able to accommodate our scheduling request to get the floors done after settlement but prior to moving in. The demolition of the old floors, installation of the new hardwood and installation of the carpeting and runner was done over a 3 day period with both Grant and George working non-stop on those days. They cleaned up the worksite completely. The appearance of the final product completely changed the look of the interior of the house. They were so easy to work with and are able to do any floor-tiling related project. I would use them again and have already recommended them to the HVAC repair person who was there on the day they were doing installation!

Their price was very reasonable, the work was completed on time and we are very pleased with the quality of the flooring, the installation and the professional manner in which the work was performed. Upon completion, we had one small issue with a door not opening correctly and Grant was back the next day to fix the issue. We will definitely use 858 Flooring again!
