Grant and George were extremely easy to work with. Their attention to detail was excellent and we had zero issues throughout the installation process. They said it would likely 3 days to complete the project, they were done in only 2 days. I would definitely recommend 858 as they did an excellent job. Even if they are slightly more money than a similar contractor, I would recommend as you likely will not have the headaches you would have with another flooring contractor.

If you need flooring and carpet laying done the wait is worth your time . Grant and George are the best of the best. Finally we found true craftsmen, contractors who take pride in their work. They battled the existing problems of our house and corrected and perfected all 30+ yr old builder nightmare work. Their skills of detail, vision and color were painstaking , back braking and saintly putting up with our 10,000 questions which they patiently answered. Our rooms looks fantastic and we truly enjoyed having them in our house. We will recommend 858 flooring to everyone and Grant and George....thank you so very much. " .

Grant and his partner did excellent work on a job that was somewhat challenging. On 2 walls, Grant had to install tile that was contiguous with existing tile, and did a good job of making the job look seamless.

Grant did an excellent job from start to finish. First of all, he provided a complete and detailed estimate of costs. Work dates and times were given in advance. I was very impressed with how carefully he prepared the floors prior to laying the wood. All furniture was removed and replaced carefully as each room was finished. I would definitely recommend Grant to anyone needed flooring or tile.

Fantastic. Grant was very punctual and helpful. He gave us two options and we went with the more expensive one, because it seemed like the right way to go. We now have a working shower on the third floor and we're very happy about that!

Awesome! Grant and George did everything I asked for and more! They did all the work themselves, arrived exactly when they said and worked every day till the job was completed! I can't say enough about the level of professionalism and responsiveness that Grant showed in a totally custom dream bathroom! The custom shower niches and the angled wall to allow my door to open wider were just a couple of the details that make all the difference!

Grant and George did a great job installing our backsplash. It was not an easy project, they had to remove our current backsplash (which was glass) and install a marble pattern that required a lot of cutting. The finished product looks amazing; we could not be happier with their work. We also really appreciated all of their helpful suggestions throughout the project. We are so glad we went with 858 Flooring and we are already looking for the next renovation project we can use their help on in the future!

It went well. The new floor looks great, is aligned perfectly, with thin grout lines. Grant and his team worked for five days and tried hard to minimize the disruption. It was especially helpful that he was able to disconnect and reconnect all the appliances (with the exception of the gas line to the dryer - you'd want a certified plumber to do that anyway).

I called up 858 and Grant came out to my house after hours and did a quick, thorough measurement of the job. He explained to me how the process works and what to expect. I got a very organized, itemized quote the next day. Grant came in on day one with his partner George and they were very professional. They both did a great job, removed all the carpet, kept the house clean and worked full days until the job was done. My wife and I couldn't have been any more impressed with these guys. If you come across them, stop looking, you found a great crew.

We have done over 100,000 dollars worth of home improvements on this home, utilizing many, many contractors, and by far would have to say that Grant and George from 858 Flooring are the BEST contracting team we have EVER had do work for us! This was by far one of the best home improvement projects I have ever experienced. Grant Rowan of 858 Flooring and his partner, George, went above and beyond what we contracted them to do. When they demolished our kitchen floor there were some unknown issues and they took care of them. Grant stayed at our home well into the evening until the job was completely finished. Their price was fair and the job was done in a professional manner. I highly recommend 858 Flooring and I would not hesitate to use their services again.

We were extremely happy with the work that 858 Floors did for us. I shopped around to about 4 different flooring companies and none of them provided the same level of detail in their estimates. Grant included the cost of every material and portion of labor, which is the only way you can really compare the cost of the types of flooring you're choosing from. Other companies just provided a flat rate or offered only limited options of flooring. Grant seemed to be able to get most any hardwood and carpet we saw in showrooms at a competitive price. I also liked that they were able to install the new vanity and toilet we chose in the half bath they were putting hardwood in. Several other companies required coordinating with a plumber. Grant was also more responsive through email than probably any contractor I've ever worked with. He was extremely patient with my questions about types of flooring and certain details with shoe molding, flush mount vents, and our kitchen appliances, etc. He always got back to me within the same day and responded to every question or request I had. Grant and George worked for 4 days and were always prompt, polite, and respectful or our home. They had to remove several layers of various types of flooring the previous owners had installed. They were even patient when my small kids got in the way a few times! Would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone! Their level of customer service is hard to find!

Grant was very professional and returned my emails / phone calls from first contact. The work was done over the course of a few months, due to my schedule. All of the work he completed turned out beautifully. He's also a quiet and fast worker, and additionally, very personable. It was a BIG job, and he did a GREAT job.

Grant is straightforward and easy to talk to. He gives you a sense that he really cares about his work. He is always helpful. My painting job wasn't done on time. At last minute, I asked him if he could reschedule his flooring job. He was very accommodating. His team did a great job, left the house in neat and clean condition. Grant provided excellent customer service from the very beginning. This was easily the best contractor experience I've had in Baltimore. He was extremely helpful and informative from the initial estimate all the way through until after the job was complete. They were able to answer any and all questions I had. Provided me with updated detailed invoices as we went through the process, and explained everything about the job very thoroughly. Once the work started, they worked all day long taking almost no breaks. They cleaned up every day after they were done and always made sure I knew what they were doing next. The end result is excellent and I am very happy with 858 flooring. If and when I need additional work done I will definitely use them again.

We absolutely recommend 858 Flooring to anyone considering new floors. They are professional, prompt, personable and courteous, and do wonderful work, even down to the details. We had 4 types of flooring in our 1st floor (sheet vinyl, hardwoods, laminate and carpeting) and wanted to replace all with CoreTec Plus vinyl planks. We contacted Grant through Angie’s List, and he promptly responded and arranged a time, at our convenience, to come and measure for a quote. He was on-time for the appointment, and after walking around, made some great recommendations based upon his experience. We received his detailed quote quickly and promptly received a start date. Each day, Grant and George showed up on time and worked through the day. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the area. It took a week to complete, and we now have beautiful floors on the first floor, new flooring on our staircase and upstairs hallway, and all of the trim work looks better than ever. Little details like capping the ends of the quarter round make such a difference. We look forward to using 858 Flooring again.

Grant responded via email to my request for an estimate. He set up an estimate for the following weekend and arrived on time. He listened to our needs regarding the stairs and provided appropriate, common sense solutions. We also liked how the company didn't work with just one distributor or store, but was flexible in regards to where to purchase tile supplies. An estimate was sent quickly via email and a start date three weeks later was scheduled. A week was blocked off to complete the work. Prior to their arrival, Grant kept me in the loop as to the status of the tile, other options, as well as address concerns that I had. Grant and another installer arrived on time to begin the work. They were there for all five days, working steadily the whole time. Both were very mindful of cleaning up. They were also mindful of my cats, who were very interested in what they were doing. Everything went as it should and the result was exactly what I wanted. I could not had asked for better workmanship. Everyone just loves it! 858 Flooring will definitely be working on my other tiling and flooring projects as I get to them!

They were great. They were honest and upfront about everything. I didn't have to worry about anything at all. They took care of small details without hesitation and were a joy to work with. I would highly recommend. Yes, their estimate was higher than others, BUT having it done without worry or concern made it worthwhile to me and I would rather support a team that takes care of me. I have no doubt we will enjoy the bathrooms for years to come!

My compliments to Grant Rowen, the owner of 858 Flooring LLC; he and his associate, George, did a terrific job at installing my luxury vinyl plank flooring. They estimated three days to install the floor and came out on Tuesday to start the job. The did a nice job of preparing the rooms for the floor and anticipated the shipment of the material later that day. Unfortunately, due to some misunderstanding from the manufacturer, the material didn't come in till Thursday. They were very apologetic about the mix-up and assured me they would be able to complete the job in one day by the end of the week. They fully explained the miscommunication and offered a second discount to compensate us for the delay and inconvenience. I requested the material be delivered the day before so I would inspect the material before it was installed. Grant went out of his way after another job to pick up the material and deliver it as requested. Both Grant and George arrived on Friday and were good to their word by completing the installation of the floating LVP floor by the end of the day. The provided answers to all my questions and provided extra service with the installation of floor molding. They did a super job and I will call on them the next time I need flooring.

They were prompt, professional, and cleaned everything up. They were sufficiently trustworthy that i didn't need to be at home while the work was underway--I just left a key in a secure place. They obtained the flooring materials at a relatively low cost, and Grant returned on a Sunday afternoon to fix the water dispenser, which turned out to be a crimped hose. I highly recommend 858.
