Grant Rowan was excellent to work with. Of the two estimates I received, Grant's was the best overall. He was able to schedule me in without a lengthy delay. Grant patiently and promptly answered questions I had about the different types and sizes of tile. He and George were punctual, professional and extremely polite. I love my new bathroom! I would definitely recommend 848 Flooring.

Grant and his team did an AMAZING job. They were hired to remove old carpeting in the basement and replace it with a porcelain tile floor (approx. 300 sq. ft). Grant was very communicative during the decision making process and was very quick to respond to all of our inquiries. He provided expert advice without making us feel pressured to exceed our budget or buy something that was more than what we needed to complete the project. When the job started Grant and his team were there on time and wasted no time in getting the job started. When the project was finished we were beyond thrilled. The grout lines were clean, even, and perfectly straight. The team cleaned up behind themselves and even put our furniture back in place exactly as it was before work started. Throughout the entire process the folks from 858 Flooring were professional, courteous and considerate. They worked hard to make sure the job was done right and we couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor and hire 858 for your flooring needs.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. My experience with them from start to finish was prompt, professional responsive and very pleasant. We were looking for an economical way to cover our basement and patio floors that was not carpeting. Tile was a good option but way out of our price range for the square footage involved. Before calling 858, I had been to several stores and had estimates from four other places. I was really frustrated with the process and the people I had met with had either given me crazy high estimates or no good alternatives to tile. Several places would recommend nothing else but tile...or carpet. I called 858 and on my first conversation Grant gave me several possible flooring options that could work. He also offered the pros and cons to each. Based on our conversation I chose rolled vinyl since it was waterproof and would completely cover the floor with very few seams. We had several email conversations. I didn't really need to talk to them on the phone anymore because they always responded right away. Grant came by and gave me an estimate that was way lower than any body else and well within my budget which made me so happy. It was so nice to work with the person who would also be installing the flooring. I could ask questions and tell him about any special needs to my project and he could address them right away. They were able to find the flooring I wanted at a great price. As far as installation goes, we set a date and there were no glitches whatsoever. They arrived on time and worked hard throughout the 2 days they were here. They thoroughly cleaned before and after installation. My floors are amazing and I am so happy with everything they did. They obviously take a real pride in their work.

Terrible. The provider did nothing after making an appointment to do the work. While Grant was initially nice and responsive, he has now told me that he cannot do the work and has reneged on our agreement. He is entirely unprofessional, unresponsive, and rude. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU EXPECT TO HAVE ANY WORK DONE. He overbooks and cancels at the last minute, We were expecting the work to be done next week and now we have to start all over again with another company. We cannot even express how disappointed we are. RESPONSE TO PROVIDER RESPONSE: There was no misunderstanding: The provider booked 3 and 4 October with me and backed out at the last minute. Do not use this company. They will not even return phone calls. TERRIBLE company to work with.

It was wonderful. They did an excellent job and I had a very positive experience with them. They showed up on time for the estimate and the appointment and I would recommend them to anybody.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal ($99 for $300 Worth of Flooring Installation). The area being finished is about 108 sq ft (9x12) and originally had carpet that was loose laid (not glued or permanently fixed in any way). The surface was in good shape. My interactions were all with Grant, who's a co-owner of the company. The entire experience was perfect from start to finish. Grant was immediately responsive to my initial contact, and came out within a couple of weeks to give an estimate. At the time I wasn't sure if I wanted ceramic tile or luxury vinyl tile, so Grant gave me two estimates for each scenario (labor only, no materials). The area is a transition space between kitchen and garage - nothing special - so I was looking for something affordable. When I found that Lowes and Home Depot didn’t have many in-store options I was forced to visit some show rooms. The vinyl quotes I received were higher than I was prepared to pay, so I ended up opting for ceramic. Then when I burned out on all the options and choices, Grant pointed me to a web site to help me narrow things down, and I found a tile I was reasonably happy with that he was able to get for a decent price. He scheduled installation within a week of my decision because he had an opening that also happened to work for me. He and his co-worker showed up on time, and they worked solidly all day. They only had to make one trip to Home Depot to get some 'liquid nails' for the baseboard. When they were finished, they left the place spotless and didn't do any damage whatsoever. The quality of workmanship is top notch – the finished product is flawless. Grant and his co-worker were thoroughly professional and pleasant to deal with from start to finish. This was one of those great experiences I will always remember.

Grant from 858 flooring came out and provided an estimate for labor but my wife and I were undecided on the floor we wanted. Grant directed us to a showroom in the area where we could look at samples and we picked several out and Grant provided a total cost estimate for each option. There was quite a bit of back and forth before we were able to pick a floor and Grant was always responsive and very helpful. We agreed upon a total cost including material and put approximately 1/3 of the cost down as a deposit and Grant scheduled a date to come out and do the work. The team showed up as scheduled and it took them approximately two days to complete the work. The floor looked fantastic and the service was exceptional, we would definitely use 858 Flooring again!

I purchased the Big Deal for tile installation and we installed a kitchen backsplash. Upon purchasing the Big Deal, Grant contacted me and we set up a Sunday morning consultation He arrived promptly, had samples with him, and we chose what we wanted in about 30 minutes. He agreed to get back to us within 2 days with the cost of the tile, grout, etc and he did. We scheduled the job for about 3 weeks out. Grant ,along with his partner George, installed 45 sq. ft. of backsplash (subway tile) in about 6 hours. They cleaned up nicely. My husband and I are very pleased with the job, cost, quality, and professionalism displayed by 858 Flooring. I would definitely use them again. Grant also did a good job at remembering my 1 year old who he had only met for about 30 minutes previously. I do feel if he had to do a long term job in your house, you would be very comfortable with his team there and happy with the work.

Grant (The owner) was very responsive and he answered all of my questions. He seemed very knowledgeable about tiling, flooring etc. so I was pretty comfortable going into the process. They performed the work in a day and it turned out amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better job. I will definitely use them when we do decide to change our flooring in the kitchen. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I ended up finding a cheaper company and I am requesting a refund on the Big Deal. This company was very nice to work with and they were very responsive.

It went great. I needed the floor in time for a party. Grant came on Sunday to show me some samples and worked with me the Saturday after when I was trying to decide. Brent came and installed the floor(in one day) and it looked great. They are both professional and hard-working. My entire first floor looks different. They were great to work with and I will definitely call them the next time I need flooring.

Grant was prompt with responses and clear and helpful with suggestions and resources. Workers showed up on time, worked well together. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. They floor was done well. We were very pleased with the one day installation.

This was a great experience. Grant was professional and knowledgeable throughout the process. To determine the estimate he asked a lot of questions about precisely what I wanted and was able to give a very detailed quote, which I appreciated. The quote was higher than another I'd received, but it was clear he knew what he was doing, and made helpful design suggestions. Once the work started, they discovered that what was behind the plastic surround wasn't what was expected, and he had to change his approach. He talked through some options with me and found a good solution that didn't result in too much higher a price, and still completed the work on time. They worked really hard and long hours to get the job done when he'd said he would, even with the changes, which I appreciated because it's my only shower. I took on some painting that wasn't in the original plan, after their work was done, in order to save a little $$, and Grant was helpful in answering my questions about how to go about it, and offered to come by and help if it didn't turn out the way I wanted it, which I really appreciated, although it wasn't necessary. I am really happy with how it looks and Grant was great throughout. I would highly recommend him.

Grant was very responsive during the entire process. After purchasing the package deal we received an email that evening and arranged to have him come and check out the job. After we decided on what tile and grout we wanted there was a slight increase in the cost but everything was very reasonable. The job was done several days later on a Saturday and he returned the next day to finish the grout. The floor looks great and would recommend him.

The company responded to my purchase with an email on 6/1/14, then the provider followed up with a phone call on Monday 6/2/14. He didn't make an appointment at that time but said he would contact me later in the day. He did call later in the day to say he wouldn't be able to come by on that day. He did call on the afternoon of Tuesday 6/3/14 to ask if I would be available that evening but I told him I already had plans. What I was expecting and what I am used to is a service provider making an appointment with me that is convenient for both of us. I work full-time and it takes me 45 minutes to get home from work. I am willing to leave work early or go in to work late but I need to schedule things ahead of time. If it was this challenging just to set up an appointment for an estimate, what would happen when it was time to get the actual work done?

From start to finish, 858 Flooring's service was great. The owner, Grant made it easy to schedule the work to be done and even accommodated a few additional projects (installing a vanity and mirror) that were not in the original plans, for a very reasonable price. Grant does excellent work and I am very pleased with how the bathroom turned out. It looks great! I will definitely be adding 858 Flooring to my list of contractors to use in the future. I initially contacted Grant to discuss an estimate for flooring installation. He very promptly contacted me and scheduled a time to come to my home. He arrived promptly and was very courteous and professional. He showed me some samples, but I choose to look at some additional flooring beyond what he provided. Grant offered to try and get any flooring that I selected at a discounted rate if possible. After I selected my flooring I contacted him and while he was not able to get the flooring I selected at a cheaper rate, he did attempt to do so and contacted me with his results. We scheduled a time to install the flooring at this point. Tw o members of his team came to my house. They were very friendly and quite personable. They worked very quickly and answered any questions I had. i would utilize them again for any applicable project and would recommend them.

Grant installed new ceramic tile on my shower walls. From start to finish, he was fantastic! He has the patience of a saint! I changed my mind several times throughout the process with regard to my tile, and he accommodated me above and beyond what I would have EVER expected. His specialty is floor tile, but he did an AMAZING job on the shower walls! He always followed up as promised, and showed up on time. He is also VERY meticulous about his work, and is a perfectionist! He will definitely be coming back next year (next bonus check at work, or would have completed now) for my floors. You will NOT be disappointed if you hire him!

I had old parquet floors removed and replaced with beautiful ceramic tile. I'm getting my home ready to put on the market so I didn't want to spend a bundle--but I wanted it to compliment my great kitchen as a focal point in my open floor plan home. My townhome is 120 years old, I wanted brick originally--but $12.99 a foot changed my mind. Grant came up with some really great alternatives, respecting my budget and my time. The work was performed professionally and I couldn't be happier. My floors look like a million bucks! I can't wait to work with his company again. Great Job!!

The company owner came out to do an estimate for me late on a Saturday afternoon. He was very thorough and measured all nooks and crannies to save square footage where possible. He brought several samples of flooring for me to look at, and also encouraged me to look independently at various stores and at various brands/floor grades. After getting the initial estimate with him acquiring the flooring through his supplier, I went to several big box stores to look at other options. After many (up to 10 maybe) questions via texts and emails (where I always got a response within a few hours), I finally decided on flooring from a home supply store so that 858 Flooring would just be doing the install, but they even picked up the materials for me at the home supply store, saving me the big delivery fee. The job was scheduled for a date about a week after the materials were supposed to be delivered to the store. The owner and one other person arrived to the job on time and stayed almost 12 hours without a break to get it done in one day. The carpet was nasty from cat urine and they removed and disposed of it for me. They installed all of the flooring, trim, moulding and stairs and addressed an unexpected structural issue on the stairs with a great solution. They blended the new laminate with existing laminate in the foyer and it all looks great. They were super courteous, responsive (despite my silly questions and efforts to save costs), and were tireless workers. I am very, very pleased with the results and with how great they were to work with.

The entire project was flawless. Plan on starting with another project.
