The so called "Remodeling Consultant" was 45 minutes late for the scheduled appointment. I did not receive a phone call to say he was running late, which should be a common courtesy to the perspective customer. I explained when he arrived that I was looking for an estimate for the replacement of the sliding glass door. The consultant/salesperson took approximately two and a half hours for his demonstration. He returned to his car about three times??? Part of the demo was on his laptop computer. I asked for a brochure, which he informed me he did not have. He said the company did not have brochures. I fail to understand a company not providing a brochure or some type of information to leave with the customer. He then proceeded to pressure me into making a commitment that night. He said if I committed that night, the price would be $2,519.00. If I did not commit that night, the price for the sliding door would be $3,519.00. I asked for a written estimate (detail of work) for the installation. He provided a one line estimate with a total of $3,519.00. I did not sign a contract that night and he was not happy. I don't like feeling pressured into making an on-the-spot decision when spending several thousand dollars. I also asked the consultant/salesperson for the company's Maryland license number, which he failed to provide..

When the project manager saw that I needed casing around the windows, they did it free of charge. He went above and beyond. And, one window had to be extra-done but he didn't charge me extra. They were very nice and I couldn't ask for better people.
Description of Work: I used Power Homes for window replacements.
