Norman approached me in a home improvement store in the paint aisle. He handed me his card and convinced me that he does a great job at painting and said he has been painting since he was 16 years old. He was very nice and personable and I decided to take a chance with him. He should not be painting. He is sloppy and the quality is beyond very poor.
Description of Work: Norman was hired to paint 2 rooms and a hallway for $1,000.00. I paid him $500.00 up front. He spackled areas and did not sand it before putting on a coat of primer. The primer was applied very sloppy and there was runs and splatters. Norman assured me this was his technique and that everything will get sanded. The next day he came put on another coat of primer and the areas with the plaster still was not sanded and there were more runs and splatters of primer. He also applied primer on bi fold doors and painted over the brass hardware. The application was so bad that primer pooled in the corners of the panels dried into blobs or ran down the door. Again he said don't worry he was going to sand everything. At this time I was very concerned but it was such a mess all over my walls that I was still holding out hope that it would turn out all right. The third day I was shocked that he actually painted with the color paint and still nothing was sanded. He just kept on painting over the issues. When I came home and saw that he put color on the wall I knew something was wrong and that he didn't know what he was doing. I waited for him to arrive the next day and I told him he had to stop the job and collect his things. There are so many areas that are so badly painted and patched. The job was very sloppy with runs, splatters, and drops all over the room. I am now faced with hours and hours of sanding and repairing.

My ceilings are beautiful. They did a fancy swirled ceiling in one room and a glitter-painted ceiling in my family room. It looks incredible. The walls are all fresh and bright. They recently came back and touched up some paint on the walls in the stairway after we removed some carpeting. They were on time, prep the walls carefully and applied the paint perfectly.
Description of Work: Norman Resh painters have done my interior painting. They did 5 bedrooms, a family room, dining room, kitchen and living room, including ceilings.
