Kitchen Saver

Kitchen Savers exceeded my expectations in all areas. The design and installation were perfect. The materials were perfect. Kudos to Brett for his excellent design advice and assistance selecting the door style and granite countertop. On the installation side, Bernie, Rick, and John were fantastic. A special compliment to Bernie. He worked tirelessly throughout the entire 2 week installation. Kitchen Savers was a delight to work with. I would most assuredly recommend them to anyone seeking a high quality, high value kitchen remodeler.

From start to finish, working with Kitchen Saver was an absolute pleasure. We have a large kitchen that before their intervention was quite dated and not particularly user friendly. With their expertise, we were able to redesign and completely transform our space into a truly designer look. Brett, our Kitchen Saver representative / design consultant was patient and visited us a number of times even before a contract was signed. He helped us with our thought process, color choices and configuration options. He realized early on that we were incredibly detail oriented and was able to satisfy even the most nitty-gritty of questions. It took us nearly 3 months to work through to a final design and that was before we even signed a contract. We couldn't believe they spent that much time with us before we gave them a cent. They even ordered sample doors for us to see before we signed with them. Fantastic Customer Service. Brett remained an integral part of the project from start to finish. He was our go to guy for questions that no one else seemed to be able to answer. Even if he didn't know the answer, he always found the person who did know the answer. Once we signed, John, our project leader, measured the kitchen and was on hand frequently to discuss specifics. He was professional, attentive and accessible throughout the project. We greatly appreciated his expertise and willingness to guide us based on his experience and understanding of our needs. Once the project started, things got even better. Knowing how particular we are, the Kitchen Saver team assigned a maniacally detail oriented installer to our job. Tim was thorough, flexible, respectful and immaculate. Everyday he was there, he made great leaps forward and left our house with barely a spec of dust on the floor. On our behalf, he took the initiative and made changes both obvious and subtle that he knew would preemptively resolve design and detail related glitches. His efforts made the punch list at the end of the job incredibly small. He took the time to get to know his clients and made the effort to live up to our expectations. It was a pleasure to have him in our home. While most days Tim worked alone, on the few days other Kitchen Saver employees came to our home, they were equally hard working, respectful and immaculate. We feel that we must mention Derek, Chris and Rick as outstanding craftsmen and truly lovely people. Honestly, we cannot say enough good things about this company. The people in it care a great deal about their work and their customers. They got to know us and in doing so were able to live up to and even exceed our expectations.

Installer was punctual and hard working. He consulted us when he had an alternate solution to an issue and gave excellent advice. The job took longer than expected but the quality was high. There is a lot of dust generated by this work but he did his best to control it with plastic screens and drop cloths. It looks great and we're very pleased. The price was higher than we had expected for this type of work versus replacing the cabinets.

They salesperson came on a Saturday to measure and give an estimate. We were scheduled within the month. We went to their granite provider to pick the countertop. Rocktops came out to measure a week before the installation. Kitchen Saver was on time and kept the area clean. The granite was ready and installed on schedule. The project was done in five days.

It all went wonderfully. Adam, sales, spent a lot of time with me going over options. He couldn't have been more courteous or thoughtful in helping me sort through the choices. Craig, who did the refacing, was punctual, worked all day long hardly ever taking a break, and cleaned everything up at the end of the day so I could use my kitchen. He offered helpful suggestions - all of which I agreed to because he was right! My kitchen truly looks brand new. I'm extremely happy with the process from start to finish as well as the results.

George was the carpenter who refaced our cabinets & island. He is a true craftsman. He is a true professional. Not only was his work flawless, but he also took great care of our granite countertops & custom backsplash while refacing the cabinets. The result was a stress free install & a beautiful kitchen!

I could not have been happier with the professionalism, quality and attention from Kitchen Saver. Brett became a trusted resource and adviser as I navigated my first kitchen renovation. I get rave reviews of the work they did and how amazing my kitchen looks. In retrospect, I wish that I had paid more attention to the total cost and asked for a line-item budget. I have no issues with the work performed or the quality, but now question whether what I got was worth what I spent. The upside was not having to go without a kitchen for very long while the work was being done as compared to starting from scratch with new cabinets. I never priced out going with new cabinets, which I regret, so I'm only speculating on how costs might have compared. Installation was top-notch, but I did have to pay more attention than I would have liked. There was confusion about who needed to be home to meet the granite installers. I had to notice that the under-cabinet light covers were different colors (green tint vs. clear). There was a miscalculation of the countertop square feet, that ended up costing me an extra few hundred dollars at the granite shop. And installation (by one man) seemed to take much longer than I would have expected. So, a little bit of buyer's remorse, but not over the quality of the product or the team. I should have given myself more time to consider all my options instead of rushing to get everything done before I moved in. In the end, certainly may have made the same decision to go with Kitchen Saver.

Adam sold us on a super deal. He was well versed in the product and answered any question imaginable, no pressure. John came out and took precise measurements of every inch of our existing cabinets, planning modification as necessary to accommodate the new sized doors and laminate. George was out install/craftsman. I knew we were off to a great start when on day one he spent the first 45 minutes going over every aspect of the job, what was going to happen, where, etc., much appreciated! We discussed any concern or question I had in detail. He explained any changes to existing cabinets, surfaces. I even had the option to change how my doors open if I liked. Tear out was done with no damage to existing surrounding surfaces (my floor and appliances were well protected for the entire job). George inspected and evaluated all the cabinets before beginning. He built a new solid end cap next to our dishwasher and reinforced our flimsy sink front so it would be "rock solid" (literally) to support our new granite counter top. He filled any uneven surfaces to ensure the finished laminate would look superb. Upon removal of the counter top, George communicated his concern to their plumber after seeking our drain line which ran "uphill. With tear out complete, George passed the reins to the Kitchen Saver plumber "Baby Dave" who came out and evaluated and resolving the situation the same day. He ended up replacing the entire five feet of water pipe, re installing with the correct pitch, and solving a "slow drain" issued that had been going on for years. The problem was not just solved; it was made better than what could ever have been imagined. "Leave it better for the next guy" is their customer service mentality. George replaced drywall cut away for the plumbing repair and again, it was better than we had before. A previous gaping hole around the pipe was reduced to practically nothing. The next few days were filled with laminating, laminating, laminating, a counter top installation and drywall repair. Each nigh, George removed the plastic and cleaned up so we could us the kitchen as much as possible. My husband and I alternated taking time off from work each day. George reviewed the previous day's work with us so we each understood exactly what was going on. He involved us every step of the way which ensured there were no surprises. Derek repaired the drywall between the cabinets where we had removed the old ceramic tile. His mudding job was flawless. His technique was so smooth there was practically no sanding necessary. As the lead installer, I sincerely appreciated George's work ethic and unwillingness to compromise quality. George did an outstanding job. His quality workmanship was evident and greatly appreciated. He went above and beyond to ensure the installation was done to my satisfaction and did a "top-notch job". I feel Kitchen Savers employs only the best. Everyone I met and worked on the job embodied the company's high quality standards and served as an excellent face of the company. Rarely does this level of customer service happen. Hire Kitchen Savers to reface your kitchen you won't be disappointed!

KatchenSaver remodeled my kitchen just under 2 years ago. The job was first-rate and I have been very pleased. A hinge on one of the cabinets broke and needed to be replaced. I called KitchenSaver late last week for assistance. The work was scheduled for Tuesday morning. The service provider, Rick, arrived on time and replaced the hinge. There was no charge. My experience with KitchenSaver has always been excellent, from the person (Susan) who scheduled the appointment to Rick. This has been the case from the installation until now. They are very cooperative and I highly recommend the company.

Dan is a first-rate craftsman, extremely competent and meticulous. All the commitments he made were kept--from order time to installation time. He has a wide variety of sample cabinet doors from which to choose, in multiple styles and colors. (You choose and furnish your own knobs/handles.) We kept our existing color, just wanted to replace the old chipped doors with nicer solid wood ones. The order takes about 8 weeks, then Mary calls to set up an installation appointment. He said it would take a day and a half, and it was one day and two hours to do the job. They scrubbed the cabinet frames before adding the new doors, and left everything broom clean each day (light vacuuming by homeowner required). It's a moderately expensive refurbishment, but very high-quality and a wonderful fresh look to our space. Dan and Mary are a great team providing an excellent service.

The craftsman was neat throughout the work and cleaned up each night so we wouldn't have to deal with dust.

Workmen were professional and experienced. They care about the final product and work on the company to give you a wonderful finished product. Very responsive to every request.

WERE GETTING OUR HOME READY TO PLACE IT ON THE MARKET. WE HAD SEEN THE KITCHEN SAVER COMMERCIAL SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN WENT ON ANGIES LIST TO CHECK THEM OUT. WE READ ALL THE GREAT REVIEWS AND SAW THAT THEY OFFERED A DISCOUNT COUPON FOR ANGIES LIST MEMBERS. WE DECIDED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND SEE WHAT KITCHEN SAVER COULD DO TO OUR KITCHEN TO BRING IT UP TO DATE ,SINCE OUR HOME IS 43 YEARS OLD. WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM BRETT COHEN, DUE TO MY HUSBANDS WORK SCHEDULE, HE SAID YOU TELL ME WHAT TIME WOULD BE GOOD FOR YOU AND I WILL BE THERE, HE CAME OUT ON APRIL 7, 2013. HE ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME ! HE ASKED US WHAT WE WANTED , WE TOLD HIM WE PLANNED TO PUT THE HOUSE ON THE MARKET AND AFTER THAT WE WENT INTO THE KITCHEN AND HE IMMEDIATELY TOOK MEASUREMENTS , THEN HE SHOWED US CABINET SELECTIONS AND HARDWARE, HE HAD SEVERAL TO SHOW US AND CATALOGS WITH FAUCETS, SINK ACCESORIES AND SINKS. HE EVEN HAD SELECTIONS OF GRANITE. HE SUGGESTED A NEW OVER THE RANGE MICROWAVE WHICH HE SAID WOULD GIVE THE KITCHEN A MORE UP TO DATE LOOK AND GIVE ME MORE COUNTER SPACE. BRETT GAVE US MANY GREAT SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS. SINCE HE HAS DONE THIS FOR SO MANY YEARS HE IS EXCELLENT IN KNOWING WHAT YOU NEED AND SOMETIMES WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED. MANY SALESMAN WILL BE PUSHY AND TELL YOU THAT YOU NEED EVERYTHING TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE SALE, NOT SO WITH BRETT. HE IS VERY HONEST AND HE KNOWS WHAT MAKES A KITCHEN GO FROM VERY OUTDATED TO VERY UP TO DATE AND BEAUTIFUL. WE HAD A BAD LIGHT FIXTURE IN THE KITCHEN, WE WANTED TO KEEP THE LIGHT AND WE WERE HOPING THAT KITCHEN SAVER COULD FIX OUR LIGHT IN THE KITCHEN CEILING THAT HAD NOT WORKED FOR QUITE A WHILE, WE ASKED BRETT, COULD YOU TAKE CARE OF THAT , AND HE SAID NO PROBLEM. HE SAID IF WE DECIDED TO GO WITH THEM FOR THE WORK, THAT THEY WOULD EVEN GET THE WALLS READY FOR PAINT SO WE COULD HAVE THE KITCHEN PAINTED AFTER THE INSTALL. WE THEN SAT DOWN TO DISCUSS THE COST TO DO EVERYTHING. BRETT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HE INDEED KNOWS WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS AND HE DELIVERS. ALONG WITH THE DISCOUNT FROM BEING AN ANGIES LIST MEMBER , HE GAVE US ANOTHER DISOUNT. WE HAD BEEN DOING OUR HOMEWORK ON THIS TYPE OF REMODEL AND WE WERE JUST WAITING TO HEAR WHAT THE TOTAL WOULD BE, HE GAVE US THE TOTAL WE WERE VERY PLEASED, ACTUALLY IT WAS VERY REASONABLE FOR ALL THAT KITCHEN SAVER WOULD BE DOING. ALONG WITH THE GREAT PRICE THE WORK AND MATERIALS COMES WITH A 10 YEAR WARRANTY AND HE SAID THAT WE COULD TRANSFER THE WARRANTY TO WHOMEVER BUYS OUR HOME. WE ASKED MANY QUESTIONS AND BRETT WAS VERY PATIENT WITH US, HE SPENT OVER 2 HOURS WITH US. WE WERE EAGER TO GET THE JOB STARTED, HE SAID THAT KITCHEN SAVER WAS REALLY BOOKED UP BUT HE WOULD CONSULT WITH JOHN RIEGERT ( PRESIDENT OF INSTALLATIONS ) AND SEE WHEN THEY COULD GET US ON THE SCHEDULE FOR INSTALL. BRETT TOOK A VERY DIFFICULT TASK THAT NEITHER OF US WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO AND MADE IT ALL SO EASY. WE FELT VERY GOOD AFTER HE LEFT, WE KNEW THT WE HAD MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE GOING WITH KITCHEN SAVER. WE THOUGHT FOR SURE THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE END OF MAY TO GET STARTED BUT WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM JOHN RIEGERT( PRESIDENT OF INSTALLATIONS ) , HE SAID I HAVE GREAT NEWS, I HAVE WORKED IT OUT AND CHANGED SOME THINGS ON THE SCHEDULE AND WE CAN START ON TUESDAY , MAY 7, 2013. MR. RIEGERT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EASY TO TALK TO, HE UNDERSTANDS WHEN A PROJECT STARTS THAT THE CUSTOMERS HAVE MANY CONCERNS AND IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO ADDRESS ALL YOUR QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. I WAS HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME CHOOSING A GRANITE COUNTER TOP, THE COUNTER TOPS ARE SUPPLIED FROM ANOTHER COMPANY AND INSTALLED BY WHAT EVER COMPANY THAT YOU CHOOSE. BRETT WORKED WITH ME SENDING ME PICTURES THRU EMAIL OF THE SANTA CECELIA GRANITE. HE GRACIOUSLY WENT TO PYRAMID GRANITE FOR US AND HE HAD MR. RIEGERT BRING A SAMPLE TO US THE DAY THAT MR. RIEGERT REMEASURED EVERYTHING. THE GRANITE THAT BRETT CHOSE FOR US IS JUST BEAUTIFUL AND GOES WITH THE CABINETS AND APPLIANCES. MR. RIEGERT NOTICED A COUPLE OF ISSUES WHILE HE WAS MEASURING, HE GAVE ME SUGGESTIONS ABOUT ADDING SOME THINGS , WHICH WE WELCOMED. HE WORKS WITH YOU TO MAKE SURE EVERY ISSUE IS ADDRESSED AND HE WILL GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN AND GET THINGS DONE. ON MAY 7,2013, PROMPTLY AT 8:30 AM WE MET KEN ODELL ( THE INSTALLER ) WHAT A NICE MAN. HE CAME IN INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND STARTED LAYING DOWN LARGE FLOOR COVERINGS TO PROTECT OUR CARPET AND KITCHEN FLOORING. HE THEN TOLD US WHAT HE WOULD BE DOING THAT DAY. HE DOES EXCELLENT WORK AND PAYS ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS HE GLADLY STOPS TO ADDRESS OUR CONCERNS. YOU COULD TELL JUST BY SEEING HOW THE KITCHEN WAS LOOKING EACH DAY THAT HE HAD MANY YEARS EXPERIENCE, AT THE END OF EACH DAY I WAS EXCITED TO SEE HOW THINGS WERE PROGRESSING AND THE CHANGES BEFORE MY EYES FROM OUTDATED TO UPDATED. HE IS VERY SKILLED AND VERY GOOD ! ON THE THIRD DAY THE FOLKS FROM PYRAMID GRANITE CAME OUT TO INSTALL THE COUNTER TOP, WHILE THEY WERE THERE, JOHN RIEGERT STOPPED BY TO SEE HOW THINGS WERE GOING AND TO ADDRESS ANY QUESTIONS OR ISSUES THAT WE MIGHT HAVE, HE WALKS IN WITH A BIG SMILE AND LEAVES WITH WARM WISHES. THE ELECTRICIAN AND THE PLUMBER, WE DID NOT GET THEIR NAMES BUT THEY WERE EXCELLENT. THEY TOOK CARE OF THE KITCHEN CEILING LIGTH ISSUE AND GOT THE ELECTRICAL WORK DONE TO INSTALL THE OVER THE RANGE MICROWAVE AND THE PLUMBER TOOK CARE OF HOOKING UP THE NEW FAUCET AND SOAP DISPENSER. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. BY THE WAY BRETT SUGGESTED WE GO WITH THE BRONZE FAUCET AND THE SAME COLOR FOR THE CABINET FIXTURES AND OH MY, HOW BEAUTIFUL- HE REALLY KNOWS WHAT MAKES A KITCHEN GO FROM DRAB TO FABULOUS . KEN ODELL FINISHED UP IN THE KITCHEN INSTALLING THE NEW OVER THE RANGE MICROWAVE AND PUTTING FINISHING TOUCHES. WE SO ENJOYED HAVING HIM IN OUR HOME AND WANT TO THANK HIM FOR DOING SUCH A GREAT JOB AND LEAVING US WITH SUCH A BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN. A FEW DAYS LATER WE NOTICED SOME MINOR ISSUES. I CALLED BRETT, TOLD HIM OUR CONCERNS , HE AGAIN SAID NO PROBLEM THAT HE WOULD CALL SUSAN WHO SETS UP APPOINTS FOR SERVICE AND HAVE SOMEONE OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I DID SO SHE SET UP A TIME THAT WOULD BE GOOD FOR US AND SHE SAID THAT RICK WOULD BE OUT TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING. HE CAME OUT DID A GREAT JOB , OUR KITCHEN IS SO BEAUTIFUL, EVERYDAY WHEN I WALK INTO MY KITCHEN I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE IT,THIS IS MY KITCHEN AT LEAST FOR A WHILE TILL WE SELL THE HOUSE. WHEN WE MOVE SHOULD I HAVE ANY CHANGES THAT I WANT IN MY NEW KITCHEN WHERE EVER WE MOVE, WELL LETS JUST SAY I HAVE KITCHEN SAVER ON MY SPEED DIAL AND RIGHT NEXT TO THE NUMBER BRETTS NAME ! WHY TAKE THE CHANCE OF CALLING A COMPANY OTHER THAN KITCHEN SAVER, ONLY TO BE DISSAPOINTED AND VERY LIKELY OVER CHARGED . Even though there was a major hurricane occurring, the work was still completed and the service was excellent. They did a great job and completed the work in four days. The workman was timely and polite and answered all my questions. My cabinets look great and I would use this company again. Thank you!

Experience was positive from the start. Great people to work with. Adam: the salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. He was on time and offered many great design ideas and I did not feel pressured (although there was the sign tonight to get the best deal stipulation.) He also came by during the construction to see how things were going. John: The gentlemen who was sent for the final measure was also very knowledgeable and on time for the appointment as well. He too offered several suggestions. Bernie - my installer. All I can say is that I had the best. He is a meticulous craftsman. He too was always on time and kept in touch. My kitchen was cleaner during the work than it was before. He made sure I had a usable kitchen after he left. The results: My kitchen looks awesome - like an expensive custom job. No one would know the cabinets had new doors and facing only. The doors are beautiful. Folks who have seen the after are impressed. - Great company to work with - all pros, (Can I repeat that Bernie is the best.) - Price while more expensive than I expected - was less than half the cost of a gut job. - Quality of the workmanship and materials. - Kitchen is usable during the renovation. .

Excellent workmanship very punctual

The kitchen remodeling project by Kitchen Savers went very smoothly. It started with the free consultation and planning with Adam.He helped refine our choices and design The Star was Craig who installed the my kitchen flawlessly. He even caught that one of the doors which were manufactured off site was uneven and ordered a new door. I did not even see it until he pointed it out he was that detailed oriented. Craig was punctual,helpful, friendly,knowledgeable,and was very through in installing and cleaning up after he was done for the day. The project also included removal and installation of a new dishwasher,microwave range fan combo,kitchen sink faucet, and kitchen light pendants( done by licensed electrician and plumber)provided by Kitchen Savers. This Kitchen Saver team is terrific!!!!!

The project went very smoothly, without a hitch. As a matter of fact, the installer, Andrew found that one of our false cabinet fronts was actually a cabinet. He asked us if we wanted to use it so we said yes. He then cut out a piece of wood for the bottom of the cabinet and ordered a new door. He also asked us if we would like to have a small drawer where the false front was. Again, we said yes so he had a new drawer made. We were so happy! Other positives were that the job was started a day earlier than planned, and Andrew finished it right on schedule. He also provided all kinds of cleaning tips that were very much appreciated. I was glad that I chose Kitchen Savers, we had a great experience with them.

The contract was cancelled. I made the mistake of not reviewing others comments on Angie's List before contacting the vendor.

The representative arrived at the house on time. He took his time explaining his product (over 2 hrs) and showing us sample doors. I explained that I had another appointment and I asked him to give us the estimate. He talked a little more (45 mins) and he then took measurements and gave us a price. He initially designed the kitchen adding an additional set of cabinets on the wall and below (which I requested), and after the first estimate I asked him to give us another estimate without the additional cabinets. When I told him that the price was way above what I wanted to spend he then lashed out stating "If I wanted IKEA quality I could go there or to xxx or xxx"and he began bashing other cabinet providers. I felt that the conversation turned a little unprofessional at that point. The representative called me the following day and left a voice message, but I didn't return his call because I didn't want to do business with him.

Kitchen cabinets in 27 year old house now look great again. Refacing done by Andrew Burke and he did an outstanding job

A salesperson came out at 7pm to do an estimate. My husband and I made quick decisions (we had already picked out some general styles/wood) and after a long description of how they do business, we finally got an estimate. 19K to do our whole kitchen (with 10% off if we moved forward that night), but that was the cabinet refacing only along with building two additional cabinets. Not sure how that pricing model works, as I ended up purchasing all new Kraftmaid cabinets with the bells/whistles I wanted for 11K and my entire labor cost for installation of cabinets, tile backsplash, painting and appliance installation still doesn't come to 19K. When I told the salesperson that I could probably get a new kitchen for 30K he laughed at me. It actually came in under my estimate at 27K. My advice to customers is to get some general pricing info ahead of time - felt like I wasted 2 hours

This company was very professional and delivered a beautiful result for a reasonable price. Really made the kitchen look brand-new. They are committed to customer satisfaction. When time came to install the hardware we had ordered. we didn't like the look of it and asked for a chance to reselect new hardware. They took care of it. Job took 5 days instead of the 3-4 days advertised. Otherwise, all went according to plan.

Overall quality (fit/finish) is excellent. With my new doors the kitchen cabinetry looks almost custom. I am totally satisfide with the customer service from John Riegert (vice president installation) and Al Brauer (sales). Unfortunately a pneumatic nail gun had a mind of its own and fell off the top of my refrigerator, causing small dents and scratches along the side. After an attempt to repaire (which did not work) John suggested that Kitchen Saver build out my upper cabinets with the front of my fridge and add a side piece of wood, which obviously hid the damage. The new look is totally custom, at no cost, and my wife and I love the custom look. I highly recommend this company. Thanks for saving my kitchen...Kitchen Saver!
