It was a fantastic experience. Doug, from Kitchen Saver, did the cabinet work and he was very professional and does beautiful work.

Service was great from start to end. There were a couple of small items that needed to be fixed, they fixed the issues and worked with my very difficult schedule. Very satisfied with their work.

Outstanding! From sales to installation, the entire experience was stress-free, swift, thorough and clean. The cabinets and drawers in the kitchen of our two-owner, 40-year old home were chipped, stained, and irreparably marred. The built-in lazy susan was warped and barely functioning. We found Kitchen Savers and a coupon in our monthly Angie's List publication and contacted them for an estimate. The sales representative was friendly, thorough, and very straightforward in relaying the costs, considering that we selected high-end cherry to best approximate the existing cabinets. A few days after we contracted for the work, a foreman named John came out and took the necessary measurements, and he gave us instructions on what we needed to remove from the cabinets and what could remain (basically, anything getting in the way of replacing hinges just needed to be moved to the back of the cabinets or removed altogether) -- drawer contents, of course, had to come out altogether, as the drawers were being completely replaced. As he did his measurements, he noticed that the area under the kitchen sink had no "floor" (or shelf) and said he would add that to the job order. A couple of weeks before installation, the sales rep contacted us and said he'd gone over the color scheme for the wood and that he recommended changing it to what he believed to be a truer color -- this did not alter the installation date or the cost of the job, and we were grateful for his diligence. The installation itself was masterfully accomplished by Tim Mitchell over a two-day period (assisted on the first day by Sean Bryant). The kitchen looks completely redone for the price of a refacing!

Excellent job — we have such a beautiful kitchen now! The bones of the cabinets were good, so we decided to go with refacing rather than replacing (although since we made a few slight configuration changes, some new cabinets had to be made in their workshop). Our installer, Craig, is now an honorary member of our family; after spending so much time with him, it was weird the first day he DIDN'T come. He did an amazing job and should get a raise. Kudos also to shop supervisor Derek, who put in one really long day installing the contrary cook top as well as working on cabinets. Highly recommended.

The receptionist informed me that such a small project isn't worth the trip for them. Even small jobs can lead to bigger jobs at times, but a company won't get that opportunity if the turn down such work. The next day, I received a call from the company about my review because customer service and reviews mean a great deal of importance to them. Though it turned out to be a miscommunication from their call center as the reason the work could not be done, it was admirable to see the company valued its customer input so much as to take time to contact me regarding the situation.

Doug Dawson came on Monday and immediately started to get to the task on redoing all the frames in the veneer that we had selected. He had finished most of the frames by the afternoon. Before he left for the day, he cleaned everything so we could still have a meal at the space that we left on the dinner table after removing years of old glasses, mugs and such. He was back the next day and continued at that pace. He finished the job by noon on Wednesday and thoroughly cleaned, vacuumed the shelves, floors, repainted a section of a countertop that we butchered while removing our microwave oven. The place was left clean and ready for the task of restocking the cabinets. It is no doubt that if Doug is indicative of the hard working, dependable, and very committed workers that are hired by Kitchen Savers, they will have many years of success in dealing with their clients We are already planning to have a corner cabinet made to order from them. I would love to think that Doug would be the installer for that as we would enjoy seeing him for more work to be done in our home.

From start to finish, my husband and I were very pleased with the job. Adam Chandler, the salesman, sat down with us and patiently discussed options and ideas. He was easy to talk to and very helpful. We didn't feel pressured at all. Adam helped us understand what we liked and, ultimately, helped us achieve the look we really wanted. He was available to answer our questions since we decided to change the look of the island. The refacing process took four days. Mike Lilli was meticulous and an expert at refacing. If we had a question, Mike was quick to address any concerns we had. We couldn't be happier with the end product. Our kitchen is really beautiful now.

They did a fantastic job. The cupboards look great and we couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone was very nice and very professional. Our installer was Patrick and he was great. He was always punctual, professional and very detail oriented. We would definitely recommend Kitchen Saver.

Working with Kitchen Saver was a real pleasure; the salesperson was knowledgeable and suggested a few custom designs that really help storage in the kitchen. The installer was friendly and very knowledgeable and he was empowered by the company to listen to us for any minor little adjustment needed to the project. They stated that the renovation will take 5-6 days and it took exactly that time, despite two snow days. They even came on Saturday to advance the project. The kitchen looks new. The quality of the craftsmanship was excellent -- with innovative solution such as drawers that open at an angle for clearing the stove, custom design blind cabinet savers, large drawers for pots. We would certainly recommend them to all. The two technicians who came to our house were outstanding. Their name were Rick and Chris. They certainly were very accommodating, highly professional and knowledgeable.

Dealing with Kitchen Saver was a positive experience. We originally contacted them because another contractor had admitted to us (after we put him on the spot by asking for his best competitors' names) that Kitchen Saver was a quality company that stood by their work. Kitchen Saver's quote for a kitchen cabinet re-facing job was not the lowest, but we were comfortable that Rob, who was the representative we met, was shooting straight with us. He suggested ways that we could save money, including by purchasing granite counter tops from another contractor. This approach differed from another re-facing company, which tried to persuade us to buy everything through them even though it would have meant less return on our investment. Wayne, who installed our new cabinet faces, was a pleasure to work with. The installation occurred over the course of two snow storms, and Kitchen Saver was very pro-active in communicating with us regarding when Wayne could be available. Wayne also went to great lengths to ensure we could access our kitchen when we needed it and even made sure we had a working sink during the snow. When one or two things went wrong (including a mix up over the hardware we wanted), Wayne got the problems solved at no extra charge. The results of the work exceeded our expectations.

We are delighted with Kitchen Saver's work. They kept at the job until every detail met their standards -- and ours. What I did not realize when the project began is that our remodeling required a great deal of custom work. Kitchen Saver gave us a good design at the outset. Then, after the demolition revealed extra challenges, Kitchen Saver made necessary adjustments -- and at no extra charge. What impressed me the most was the collaboration among the Kitchen Saver staff. Even while he was working at our home, the installer was on the phone to the carpentry shop -- discussing details and adjustments that the carpenters needed to make. I am glad to recommend Kitchen Saver, and I would be happy to use them again.

The people who came out were professional, efficient, on time and cost effective. They did very well and they were just excellent. We would absolutely use their services again in the future if we have to.

Ken, the installer, showed up every morning on time, he was pleasant to work with, careful and precise. Cleaned up everything before he left for the day. He knew what he was doing. Ken O'Dell was an exceptional person.

They performed well from start to finish. The sales rep (Rob) spent 2+ hours with us designing the job and choosing options. The price quoted was higher than two other quotes by a small margin, but we decided we were getting a higher-quality product even so. The installation went smoothly, with the various phases being handled by different employees (removal of existing countertop, plumbing, and refacing were done by different guys). A key difference between KS and others is that they do not sell countertops directly. Instead, they coordinate your job with another company (in our case, Rock Tops in Owings Mills) who sell you the countertop directly from their stock and handle the installation. KS does coordinate the schedule with them so that the countertop is delivered and installed properly at the right time in the overall job. Since KS does not sell the rock, they do not mark up the price, and one can get a pretty good deal on nice-looking granite with this arrangement. The product itself - in our case solid maple cabinet and drawer fronts - is top-quality. They are solid and the finish is excellent. The installation proceeded deliberately (on the edge of slow), since the installer takes his time to carefully veneer the existing cabinets and balance the doors. We called him back once for a few minor adjustments. In the end we are very happy with our new-looking cabinets and countertop. I strongly recommend getting a quote from KS even if you do not choose to hire them. We found that refacing quality and price are all over the map, so it pays to get more than 2-3 quotes.

Since our initial review (see below), we have been in contact with the owner of the company and truly believe that our initial experience was more a one of a kind situation which has since been resolved. The owner called me the morning after I posted my review and truly appeared to be upset (not by the review but by what had happened to us and could not have been more apologetic to us. He informed us that the person who should have been handling our call concerns had recently been let go) We agreed to have someone come out for an estimate and although this company has a beautiful product and from all the positive reviews obviously does wonderful work, we have decided to hold off at this time. The owner called me personally the day after the estimate to make sure everything had gone well and to make sure we had been taken care of properly. We had a long chat and he even offered to come back out himself if and when we decide to go forward. I truly believe that had we not gotten off on such a wrong foot, that this would have been a positive experience for us. We will be reviewing all our options on what we want to do for our kitchen redo and if we decide to go with this type of service, we will definitely give them the opportunity that I think they have definitely earned at this point. Previous Review: We stopped by the Kitchen Saver demonstration at the Dulles Home Show on 1/18/14 as we are planning on redoing our kitchen and this appeared to be a plausible alternative for us. We spoke to Mary Lake who was very pleasant and professional and signed us up to be called for a free estimate. They were very prompt on following up with us, however, following my conversation with the caller, we were left with a very different opinion of this company. When the young lady called to set up an appointment with me, I informed her that I was available every Tuesday and Thursday. She then asked if my husband would be there during those times, I explained to her that due to his work schedule, he would not be available for the estimate. She then suggested that they could come when he was home as they scheduled up to 6:30 pm. I explained again that this would not work and sensed that they were not willing to come out unless we were both available for the appt. I then told her that if their availability for a free estimate was determined by whether or not my husband was at the house, then we would not be able to schedule for them to come out. She then told me that it was policy not to schedule the appointment without both of us at home, so she would have to have her supervisor call me back. Well, it is two weeks and we are still waiting to hear from someone. My husband overheard the conversation and we both feel that the only reason they want both of us there is so they can push a hard sell for an immediate commitment from us. Had the supervisor called back, I would have explained to the supervisor that my husband would not be available for the estimate due to his work schedule and my husband would have explained to him that after forty years of marriage and many moves and work projects handled by me while he was away for months at a time, the decision would have been up to me anyway. I understand that companies prefer to speak with all interested parties at one time, however, I find this attitude to be very insulting to say the least. I can't help but wonder if my husband had taken the call, it they would have asked if I had been home for the estimate. Not likely.

They were awesome! They called and changed the date to two weeks earlier. Larry came out. He was very nice, personable, clean and neat. They were here for about 5 days. Everyday before he left, he cleaned up his mess in the kitchen. I was very happy with them. I would recommend them to anybody.

This is a great group of people to work with. From the initial meeting to decide what was to be done through the final review, they are professional, thorough, and timely. The work was completed on schedule. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every work day. They checked with me frequently through the entire process. The work took 7 days, and my kitchen looks as if it has new cabinets.

Hossam, John and Adam were all very helpful during the process. Hossam worked late every night, and was very thorough with his work. I think the price was high, but I am pleased with the job. I do wish they had the ability to also install tile for the backsplash, instead of having to hire another company to finish the job.

Al, as head of marketing, listened carefully to our requirements, showed us high quality product samples that were just what we had in mind as well as offered expert advice and suggestions that greatly enhanced the beauty and functionality of the finished kitchen. Costs were competitive and lower in total cost than the previous 5 estimates from companies that offered lower quality, workmanship, and products. My wife and I were pleased with our selection of high-quality products, the reasonable overall cost of the project, and the 10 day timeline to complete the work. Within a few days, John, the chief operating officer, scheduled an appointment with us to measure and review each product thoroughly before placing the order. This attention to detail resulted in zero mistakes or do-overs. Excellent quality control. Craig arrived each day on-time, pulled out his project plan and reviewed with us every item of the day?s work to ensure we were synchronized and in agreement with the work to be accomplished and the products to be installed. He then went to work as a highly-productive installer and finish carpenter, and did not leave until the work for that day was accomplished, and we reviewed it with him. At the end-of-the-day, he cleaned-up as if it were his kitchen. Despite an unexpected severe ice storm that prevented him from coming to work one day in the middle of the project, Craig worked longer each remaining day to make up for the delay. Kitchen Saver recommended Pyramid Granite, a local small business who did an outstanding job of providing just the right granite and installation for our island counter top. As a result, the project was completed on-time and within estimate, just in time for the holidays. Within a few days of completion, Al, John, and Craig each called back to ensure we were happy with the end result. About a week later, a quality assurance company representative stopped by to see if we had any issues remaining to be resolved. Once again, I say, ?that?s quality control?. Note that before posting this review I waited a month after project completion to ensure there were no issues requiring attention and our satisfaction was still high. It is apparent to me that Kitchen Saver has a business strategy of competing within the crowded kitchen refacing/restoration/remodeling industry by listening to the customer, treating the customer with respect, offering high-quality products together with reasonable competitive pricing, and excellent service. That strategy results in great customer satisfaction and new business through recommendations of its satisfied customers. In my experience, hiring Kitchen Saver resulted in the completion of a high-quality, low-risk, on-time, within cost major project. Our kitchen is now a showplace and I have a happy wife.

They delivered a beautiful product. Our kitchen looks great. All of our contacts with staff from Kitchen Savers was professional. The work was completed on time.

We set up an initial appointment on a day when my husband and I would both be home. The options presented were great and we were encouraged by the Angie's list reviews. However, we felt *very* pressured to sign. Ultimately, we did contract with them because we liked what we agreed upon. Andrew, the one person assigned to the job, just finished in the 5 days promised initially and the kitchen looks great! His work was very detail oriented and everything is done well. As issues arose, which then inevitably will, they were solved in consultation with us and in a timely way. Great experience overall, just be prepared for high pressure sales at first. Our kitchen really does look 100% better and we'll enjoy the work done for a long time.

Kitchen Saver's work was excellent. There were no complaints from my tenants (this was a rental property) and the project manager was very responsive and thorough. They put down padding to protect my new kitchen hardwood flooring, tested for lead based paint, put up a door cover to keep dust out of the rest of the house, and kept me informed of any issues. They were superb at problem solving -- for example, the knobs I picked out initially were discontinued by the supplier even though they had the current catalog. Kitchen Savers worked with me to easily identify a replacement. And -- there were no surprises or extra charges for the job. They delivered what they contracted for and more without charging me extra.

We spoke to four companies and Kitchen Saver gave us the best price by far. Kitchen Saver installed new, white laminated cabinet doors on our rather large kitchen (12 top cabinets, 17 bottom cabinets, and 13 drawers). The doors are beautiful and look like our old ones that look like wood, but don't cost like wood. (Our old 19-year old ones were laminate, as well). The knobs are high-end and our kitchen looks fabulous. Kitchen Saver folks were on time, and delivered as promised. The installation went smoothly. They worked to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the new cabinet doors. We are very happy with this company and will recommend them to our family and friends. We love our kitchen again.

The installation began in August 2013. The installer, Ken, came within an hour of the scheduled start time. He was well prepared for the remodel. He started right away tearing out the bulkhead and removing the cabinetry that was to be replaced. He was cordial and friendly throughout the entire time of the remodel. He even spent time with our dog who eagerly looked forward to him coming every day. He was a professional in all the work that he undertook even helping make some changes that were needed in the plan that helped make the final look and functionality of our kitchen much better. The timing and delivery of the new cabinets went as planned and helped keep the project running smoothly. The trash was removed in a timely manner keeping appearance from being out of sorts. The estimate of the remodel time turned out to be as stated, and was finished on the stated day. There were a few things that needed attention after the remodel. The response was cordial and pretty fast. The problems were taken care of without problems from the electrician, Mike and the plumber, Dave, who were both punctual and kind. The whole experience was pleasant, even though there is always some stress involved in what to expect and in what the final result will be, we are well pleased in the final result. We would recommend Kitchen Savers to others considering kitchen remodeling. Feel confident in choosing them to do a great job in making your project turn out to be one that you will gladly showcase.
