Description of Work: A salesman named Dan met with us in March. The mtg. was high pressure with "this is the price today". He did not give us a written quote and when we asked him to send a quote via email, we never got it. We interviewed (4) kitchen cabinet refacing companies and Kitchen Saver was the highest price.

Description of Work: I had them over for a quote. It turns out I decided not to re-do my cabinets as the costs were too high.

Description of Work: They refaced my kitchen cabinets. Very detail oriented, they came back and fixed a small issue that I had. Came when they said they would and finished the job on time. Overall fantastic job.

Description of Work: We wanted to transform our twenty-one-year-old kitchen. We considered all new cabinets, cabinet refacing and some combination of the two. Kitchen Savers were the only ones we spoke to who would do the combination. They modified some of the old cabinets, built some new ones and refaced them all to look like new. Their price was not better than the ones we got for all new cabinets, but the quality of materials and workmanship was worth it. Bill, our installer, was a real craftsman and his attention to detail shows in our new kitchen. After the project was substantially complete, their were some delays in following up on a punch list item and getting the final invoice.

Description of Work: Kitchen Savers refaced my kitchen cabinets. All new doors, drawer fronts and drawer boxes. They modified some of the cabinets and drawers. They did a beautiful job. They used all wood, most solid maple in our case. Everything was done to a very high standard, parts,material and labor. I would highly recommend them. They may not be the least expensive company in town, but they just may be the best. We are very impressed.

Description of Work: They put new doors and drawers on my cherry cabinets . Done neatly and timely. They also installed my new appliances and worked with the granite company. As well as move my island and replace entire thing with new drawer, doors and trash and recycling cans.

Description of Work: They refurbished our cabinet boxes and provided new drawers, sink, faucets, hardware and countertop. They were extremely professional and had tons of options for all budgets. I'd like to personally thank Doug Dawson, our installer. He was friendly, informative and was able to work among our dogs! He left the house spick and span every day and was generally a delight!

Description of Work: I had my kitchen cabinets refaced (all new doors, new hardware, and the rest of the surfaces covered with laminate), plus I got a new counter top. Three bathroom vanities got the same treatment. Dan Dziewanowski, my initial contact, was an excellent salesman because he drew out of me what my goals and limitations were. Then he may good suggestions, but didn't try to oversell or push me toward more expensive options. Ken O'Dell and Rick Cavey were prompt, efficient, and neat during the installation and the plumber who reinstalled the sink, also did excellent work. I could not have been more pleases with the end product or its price.

Description of Work: Kitchen Saver redid our kitchen cabinets and made a custom island. They made our cabinets much larger than what we previously had and gave us more storage. They did an excellent job!!! Thanks to Ken for his great installation and his knowledge of what he was doing. He is a great asset to the company. We recommend Kitchen Saver to anyone wanting this type of work done. Thank you Kitchen Saver for our beautiful kitchen. WE ARE TOTALLY IMPRESSED!!!!

Description of Work: The sales staff was extremely professional and helpful in showing us all the options and helping to make decisions on what colors and styles to use. The installation team did a fantastic job with making sure everything was done right. They cleaned up after each day's work and provided constant feedback on the progress and the next steps. Each day the went over the progress and identified what would be done the following day so we were always informed about what was happening. The installer was especially attentive to the little details and made sure that we were OK with each step of the process. Overall, they may not be the cheapest solution. but the end product is excellent and they do understand the value of quality customer service.

Description of Work: We contracted KitchenSavers to update our kitchen . We had all new cabinets done , new countertops and they even did some custom work. It was a very pleasant experience , very courteous and punctual. I would definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Kitchen Saver restored out cabinets by replacing all fronts and adding new veneers on the other surfaces. The $18,872 price included granite from Rock Tops. We could not be more pleased with the results and the price which was several thousand less than other quotes we got. We would definitely recommend Kitchen Saver to anyone seeking cabinet restoration.

Description of Work: Kitchen cabinets . We had some bumps in the road but their Custer service was excellent . No one is perfect. After a week and a half I had a wonderful kitchen. They gave me what I wanted!

Description of Work: I used Kitchen Saver to reface my cabinets. From the initial sales consultation through the final installation, I as extremely happy with everyone that I met and talked with from the company. The sales person made good suggestions and worked with me to keep the costs within my budget. I can't say enough good things about Craig the technician who completed the work. He showed up during a major snow storm for his first day of work. I was so sure that he wasn't going to be able to make it that I hadn't even shoveled my front steps. Overall, very happy with the company and would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: When I called to schedule the appointment, the representative (a woman) asked if my husband would be present at the proposed time. I said he was traveling. Then she asked when he'd be back and whether I wanted to wait. I insisted that I did not want to wait, that the remodeling was my project (and I would pay for it). She called me the next day to say that she checked online (DC Property database) and did not see my name as an owner and that maybe we should wait for my husband! Although I was horrified with this insistence on my husband's presence, i took the time to reassure her that I actually owned 2/3 of the house (and I even called DC records myself to make sure all was properly stated on the deed). This process conveyed the perception that the company did not believe a woman can make decisions alone! But there is more. THen the salesman finally came on the scheduled day. He spent 2 hours at my house explaining everything in excessive details, showing prior work, making suggestions, measurements. All was friendly until he gave me an estimate of $24000 (which I later realized had included appliances I hadn't asked for). I told him that I wanted to do some additional research and get a second estimate. He was clearly frustrated and started arguing with me. He asked whether I'd sign if he lowered the price right then. I said no, that I planned to research my options regardless of any price. It was very unpleasant. By then it was 8PM and i told him we had to wrap the meeting up - yet, he wouldn't stop talking or insisting. After my third (or was it fourth?) request to end the meeting, I got up and made it clear he had to go. He finally got the message. Although the company seems to be high quality with regard to their cabinetry skills, they clearly need to improve on client relations. Addendum: An hour after I posted this review, Brett called me to understand what happened. We had a good and productive conversation. We exchanged ideas of how to approach a new customer and deal with the question of who owns the property (regulations seem to require that an owner sign for the project). Maybe they should have explained that point upfront on the first phone call, as they would have made all the questions about my husband's presence more understandable. I also offered a suggestion that there could be two types of meetings: one short informational and another more detailed for clients who are a step ahead in their planning and ready to commit. I also suggested that their estimate provide a break-down of prices so that a customer can really understand the price of various items. I am glad I had this conversation with Brett - hopefully there will be improvements to the process.

Description of Work: Kitchen Saver bids were higher than some other companies, but I have to say that the outstanding service we received was worth the extra cost. No other company offered to make a mock-up of the cabinet door so we could see it before we started the project. No other company was able to create cabinets from the design that we had in mind. From the salesman, Adam to the project manager John, we always felt like we were in good hands. They never hesitated to answer any questions that we had. Once the work started, George was an excellent craftsman and did a great job refacing our cabinets. Mike the electrician also installed can lights, plus recessed lights under the cabinets. Because of Hurricane Sandy, they had to start later than we planned, and George volunteered to work on Saturday, so we could have the cabinets done by Thanksgiving. If you have never had this type of work done before and need a company that will patiently walk you through the process, with employees who are polite, cooperative, and excellent craftsmen, then this is the place to go. We are very pleased with our newly refaced cabinets.
