very poorly- I had my broken screen replaced at the Timonium store. It cost $143 and came with a 30 day warranty. Within a week the new screen cracked from top to bottom, even though it had simply been in my pocket and in a drawer the whole time, without being subject to anything that should have broken the screen. When I returned the phone to the store, I was told that I must have dropped the phone or done something else to break it and that they had no responsibility. They would fix it, but would charge another $123. I volunteered reluctantly to pay $50 for the screen if they did the labor, but was told again that they had were blameless. I feel like I was treated extremely poorly, and would not recommend Gadget Guru under any circumstances.

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your experience. However we did inspect the glass and verified that there were nicks and scratches consistent with a drop or keys. Our warranty covers defective parts and/or install. When there is physical damage stemming from the middle of the screen then we will not do the work for free. Hopefully you understand this. We are a small business that has been around for 10 yrs and do not try to “get over” on our customers.

I called on Monday May 27 to get a price on replacing the cracked screen on my 2 week old phone. Was told the tech was in Columbia that day but would be back in Owings Mills on Tuesday. Took the phone in at 11am when they opened Tuesday, and called before I left work to see if it would be ready, as work near Owings Mills but don't live in that area. I was originally told it wouldn't be ready that early, but by the time I arrived home, they had called to say it was ready. Luckily the husband was able to swing by and pick it up on his way home from work. It looks like new and haven't had any problems with it. Feels expensive to replace, but better than shelling out $600 for a phone off contract. The insurance offered by Best Buy would not have covered the screen as it was still fully functional.
Description of Work: Replaced the screen on my Galaxy S3 smart phone. I paid a $20 diagnostic fee up front which is then applied to the cost of the service.
