When he came back for our appointment, I immediately informed him that the pot-filler faucet hadn't arrived yet (however, it did arrive the next day or so) -- and we should proceed with the other work. What was the separated cost of the faucet, so we could take it off the job for today ($80).
he proceeded to do all the other work efficiently. we also had him check an outside faucet that didn't work, and had him estimate fixing that and continuing a water line and a gas line to the detached garage.
at the end of the appointment, i asked if he would be willing to come back and do the pot-filler faucet. He initially said that it was too small of a job to do alone for that price. I asked if he could do it when he was in the area for another job, and what the price would be. He said if he was in the area, he would do it for the same price.
and here is where i rate his responsiveness with an F.
when the pot-filler faucet arrived, i left him a voicemail message. i didn't hear back from him. a couple weeks later, i left him another one. again, did not hear back. i sent an email, and did not hear back. i even called another time, this time with also wanting help installing a new kitchen sink as well, which i would have hoped would make returning my call and doing both jobs worth his time.
all of that said, i would be happy to work with him again.
