I purchased a Living Social deal for 2 hours of moving help for $55. One the surface it seemed like a good deal as I only needed help moving a large tv, 2 beds, a wardrobe and a few heavy boxes and at most would not require the 2 hours. When I attempted to use the voucher I was informed that I needed to pay an additional $120 for a moving truck or another hour of labor for $55 --- conditions that were not listed on the conditions of the voucher. After agreeing on the additional though unnecessary of hour of moving help, confirming a time and date to move, reserving the loading dock, arranging my week around the move and renting a moving truck plus moving equipment (as they only supply this if you go with the truck rental) I found myself on moving day at the loading dock with truck, equipment etc but no movers. When I attempted to call I was told they were running late due to traffic. Then asked if it could be an afternoon move instead of a morning move as scheduled. When I pointed out that the rentals needed to be returned in a timely manner and a late move would not be reasonable the communication ceased. Between the loss of money, time, energy and the disruption to a carefully scheduled moving week, I would recommend anyone considering this company to consider a more reliable and professional option.
