Brody Brothers Pest Control

My experience was excellent. When I got in touch with them, they did what they said they're going to do when they said they're going to do it with the amount they said they're going to do it. When there was a problem, they came back and did it again. I could not asked for anything more. They were funny, with humor, and they did a good job.

Service Tech was prompt, courteous and neat. He answered several questions that I had and modified the treatment plan in response to one of my concerns.

I have had Brody and Sons out to my home often, for a number of reasons. We've had termites, ants, mice, squirrels, spiders... I trust them to do the job without using chemicals that are unnecessarily dangerous to my and my family. Because we seem to have multiple issues, we've decided to use their annual contract, rather than per-call. While they will come back once for a retreatment on services like ant control even on per-call, I prefer not to have to worry about when I call them. With the annual contract they come out quarterly to do treatments and inspections (as well as whenever else I need them) and I do think that helps keep the pests down to begin with. Our biggest issue was a massive invasion of mice. I tried to deal with it using traps and bait but was unsuccessful. We called Brody in and -- no more mice. I think that was when we took the contract. Dealing with the squirrels was a separate cost. We had some taking shelter under our solar panels. They came every day to check the traps and dispose of the critters they caught. It was pricey, but the problem was resolved. We also have a termite contract with them (they also did the treatment) -- and again this is separate from the annual contract. Overall, they are very polite, very willing to help answer questions, address concerns, and to suggest ways to prevent the pest issues from happening in the first place. I wish it was a little less expensive, but obviously we think it is worth it, because they are keeping us as customers.

The technician came out to my house and looked around both inside and outside before going up to my attic. He then spent a lot of time in my attic to determine what is invading. I hear noises in my walls and in my attic on a daily basis and have been told by several other exterminatiors that I have a mice issue. After spending over $1,500.00 with 5 different companies I still have the same issue. So now I'm very wary of hiring anyone. The technician was very thorough and asked me what type of mouse had been caught in the traps -- I did not have an answer as all of the other companies who found dead mice never bothered to tell what kind of mouse was found in the traps. Apparently it does make a difference. He described what he thought the next course of action should be, did not pressure me at all to accept, and left. In the meantime I have been setting my own traps. If I do decide to go further Brody will definitely be my go-to company. He was more interested and knowledgeable than all of the other companies I spoke with about my problem.

We've been mouse-free for two weeks. Originally, they only placed traps but later placed poison and blocked it off and were very safety-conscious for our children. They're responsive and we have alway able to schedule within a week or two.

To my knowledge they returned once... and forgot about us after that. The traps are still dormant in our yard. I will call to get them removed, but I still have that "take my money and forget me" feeling. Their quote was a bit higher than most competitors, and though they seemed to know about rats, I suspect the cheaper guys would have had the same outcome.

They were great. I haven't seen a spider since.

the got rid of an ant problem I'd been having on and off for several years. the owner of the company came the same day I called and after a thorough evaluation, he gave me a price. his technician came back later that afternoon and did the application. I have not seen an ant since then. I would definitely use them again.

Spoke with office during the week. I was told that provider would be at my home between 12 - 3 on Saturday. They never showed up and I never received a phone call.

The provider identified several points of infestation. Showed us previous signs of prior treatment (rods externally). Showed us the location of all issues (3) inside the house. Identified termites, ants and parasitic wasps. The provider was extremely efficient and informative. Showed up on time and was very accommodating. After the service / inspection. He forgot to charge me. About 2 weeks later I contacted the office to inquire about not being charged. We corrected that.

Caveat emptor, buyer beware. I have to take SOME of the blame for not clearly understanding that Brody Brothers is NOT an extermination service, more of an 'advisor' that points out obvious stuff, and does a few minor things to prevent pests from coming into your home. No chemicals. If you are okay with paying someone $400 annually to come by and mention that "you need to trim your trees back two feet from your house, and get a chimney cap installed," then you'll feel good about service from Brody Brothers. They don't use chemicals, which some will perceive as a plus. But when ants are crawling around on the kitchen floor, I don't need advice, I need something that kills the ants and the nest. Again, maybe that's just me. On the plus, you won't meet more professional, prompt, courteous, gentlemen than the Brody's. Despite all I wrote above, theirs is NOT a 'bait and switch' game. They are crystal-clear and up-front about their "integrated pest management" approach. I just tried it, and for me found it a waste of hard-earned money. I'd rather pay the same amount for poison bait, sticky traps, and chemical sprays and have a pest-free home.

I got excellent service, as before. I called yesterday morning. They came this morning. The techs were friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative. They thoroughly evaluated the house, inside and out. They pulled out my stove and found an entry point there. They repaired the hole and placed tracking powder and poison there. They also placed traps and poison under the dishwasher and in the cellar and crawl space. They even removed latticework from the front porch (which they replaced) and checked under there, where they found entry points which they filled with foam that contains poison, should mice try to gnaw through it. I have used Brody Brothers before, 2 years ago, when I was overrun with mice. Up to that point in life, I had never had a pest problem nor used a pest control company. I was nervous about poison and the smell of rotting dead things. I found them patient about addressing all my concerns, answering all my questions to my satisfaction. They instructed me how to determine whether I needed followup or not. They kept coming back til the problem was solved. ( As I said, I was overrun with mice---largely because I spent 2 months trying to deal with them on my own. I suggest you NOT do that. Call at the first sighting. If you see one, chances are you have more than one, and they multiply quickly.) As far as smell, Brody Brothers told me to call if I smelled anything, and they would come empty the traps. Two years passed without any furry visitors, but apparently mice are clever and they found or made new entry points. Again, Brody Brothers rose to the challenge. I am confident that they will again meet my expectations. I HIGHLY recommend them. Ari, one of the techs, is really knowledgeable. If he comes to your house and you are curious like me, you can learn more about pests than you ever thought anyone could know. Honestly, these people know the ways of the critters they hunt. That's what makes them so effective. When they come into the house, they even wear booties over their shoes to protect your floors.

I am perplexed by this company. The first service to remove the squirrel carcass was excellent, and I paid by credit card at the time of service. I thought the charge for this service was reasonable, but the estimate to complete pest exclusion and repair was way higher than other companies. Then I get a bill for the service by mail with no indication of what happened to the credit charge, I made multiple calls and left messages for Talis, but never received a response. I not only feel that this is rude, but considering how nice he was on the first visit, do not understand how his business behavior could be so poor.

My landlord requires my business to have a contract with a pest control company, and after a quick search, we found Brody Brothers and contacted them. They were SO friendly and SO helpful, they came that very day to do an inspection. Their contract is very affordable and the guy who comes is pretty thorough and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend these guys for any business who needs to have an ongoing pest control contract for their space.

They were very nice, very thorough, very knowledgeable and honest. Could not have asked for better customer service. It turns out that most likely the bat was just a single bat and the groundhog was probably gone. He did recommend that I get a termite inspection after seeing some evidence of damage. Which I am going to do. He did not even push that they do the inspection (although I am defiantly going to use them).

The company came out and did a great job and also we had to have them back to get rid of a squirrel's nest that was in our chimney. They came out, took care of the issue. We have not had any problems since.

We didn't have any return issues. In the past, we've used someone else and they would have to come out 3 or 4 times after the initial appointment to rectify the problem. They were very professional and got the job done.

Great. We have an ongoing contract with Brody Brothers.

Our basement was being invaded by millipedes ? hundreds. Unfortunately when I called Brody Brothers I identified them as centipedes. The technician was on time and very polite. He immediately corrected my mistake and let us know that it was useless to spray. The insects were being driven into the house by the amount of rain and poor drainage. He walked around the house with my husband identifying possible drainage problems and offered solutions. I will definitely call Brody Brothers again -- the technician went 'above and beyond' and didn't charge us a dime.

Rat deceased, but under the basement floor slab and so stunk up the utility room for 2 weeks. Also, tech was unable to locate entry point. Have had subsequent visits on the maintenance contract and to follow up on the initial rodent issue. Not a perfect outcome but certainly above average.

The Brody Brothers sent Talis to take a look at the carpenter bees in our shed. He was very knowledgeable about carpenter bees and carpentry in general. He explained the whole life cycle of the carpenter bee, showed us what kind of wood they prefer (type and thickness), and pointed out other wood in our backyard we should keep an eye on. In the end he suggested that he could either treat the bees which would come back next season or we could use that money instead to do buy and install screening to cover the bottom of the shed. We agreed that the screening is the way to go. He also checked out other areas in our backyard and made very good suggestions on how to keep the mosquito population down in our backyard by getting rid of the clutter accumulating behind our shed. My husband asked about carpenter bee spray and Talis shared a great deal of knowledge about the overuse of chemicals - which we totally agree with. Another company I called didn't want us to just pay them to take care of the bees (which they were going to charge more than the Brody Brothers anyway), but to buy a whole home protection plan with them where they would spray our whole house - which didn't sound right since the only problem we currently have are some bees in our shed. After spending a good deal of time with us he left and didn't charge us a thing. My husband is going to be screening the bottom of the shed. However, if we ever need an exterminator I will defiantly call the Brody Brothers. They dont' seem to be out to make a lot of money or to sell home protection plan that are not needed.

I took out a year contract with them. They put traps in my basement for chipmunks. I called them when I saw the chipmunks caught in the trap, and asked when he could come get it, he told me to do it myself. This happened over the course of the summer. He never figured out how they were getting into the house. They billed at the end of the quarter and I thought that the year service had already been paid in full.
