I was noticing that cold air was coming out of the heat vents and that the furnace seemed to be coming on every 20-30 minutes. Being that my unit was just coming up on 2 years old I knew something wasn't right. When I called Catons Plumbing and Heating (they installed my entire HVAC system) I was informed that they no longer did any HVAC work, only plumbing. This was very upsetting and panic set in! That's when I decided to sign up for Angie's List so this could not happen to me again. Did some research and decided to call Air, Plumbing & Heating Solutions which turned out to be an excellent choice. Nice, nice, nice people! I set up an appointment, they sent a tech (Carl) the next day and took care of the problem which was actually operator error as much as I hate to admit that. I had the blower turned on the humidifier and it was the blower that was coming on so often not the furnace. Carl performed a thorough check up on the entire unit, changed the filter in the humidifier and being that I did not have a service policy on my system, I asked Carl what his company had to offer as far as a service policy, what was included and the cost. Seemed very reasonable so I purchased their Ultimate Maintenance Agreement. I asked Carl if I could request for him to come back when it was time for my AC unit check and he assured me that I could. I like that Carl was prompt ,very professional, paid attention to every detail and answered ALL my questions. Life is good!

I have used this company three times and have always been impressed with their promptness, pricing, and quality of work.

Our furnace was blowing cold air this February morning. Called Air Plumbing first thing and someone was her by 11am. Problem fixed by noon. They were very professional and courteous. They even wore booties to keep from tracking dirt through the house. I would definitely call them again!

They had to pay several visits and ultimately we went with someone else to do the bulk of the work. They just didn't seem to know what they were doing.

Did an excellent job and worked for a complete day dawn till dusk to get all the repairs done. I was very please with the job they did. I would recommend them to anyone and I will use them again.

The plumber came and did what was advertised. I think it was in essence a waste of money. They did do what they said they would do and I did ask him a couple of questions that he answered, but I don't think there was much value in the inspection.

I was impressed with the fellow that came out and looked into the furnaces problems. He showed me and explained what he was observing. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the estimator that came to estimate a replacement. We discussed the difficult issue of replacing the old copper lines to the roof compressor unit and he had a creative approach that might have been a good solution, with minimum wall repair required. After receiving his bid in a very timely fashion, I questioned a few issues, and he rethought his bid and researched that another manufacturer would accept the use of the smaller original line and resubmitted his bid using the new equipment. I was impressed with their thoroughness and would definitely have used them, but another company (whom I had used before about 5 years earlier) came in using the same manufacturer at a significantly lower price. Air Plumbing & Heating Solutions price was very competitive with all the others except the significantly low bid. If I had not gotten that very low bid, I would have definitely use them.

My AC unit stopped working and it was still hot! I was able to speak with someone quickly and schedule the appointment. I bought the Angie's List Big Deal. They came out, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it right away. Great experience!

We were really happy with Air! We got about 6 or 7 different estimates, all companies with high ratings on Angie's List. Jeff came out and did an inspection of our old system and measured our house thoroughly unlike a number of the other companies who just looked at the current system and/or guestimated. Jeff also listened to our needs. We only plan on living here for another few years so getting a top-of-the-line model was not financially wise as it would not pay off in the long-run. Jeff gave us a few options, most of which were the lowest quotes we got but were also for good equipment. The other companies quoted us far more for the highest priced systems. We also had a lot of questions about what we were buying and I was in regular email contact with them and their response was always speedy. On install day they arrived on time, were professional and the installation looks and works great. Happy customers.

The technician arrived on time and was personable and professional. He was able to quickly diagnose and explain the problem with the compressor. Had the required part on his truck and replaced the broken part. I had purchased a coupon for discounted system diagnosis on the Angie's List web site, so all I needed to do was pay for the part. I was very pleased with the service, the overall price and the quick response (they were able to come out the day after I called them).

Charlie was great from our first conversation on the phone until it was time to say good-bye. He was on time and very professional. Not only did he rig up something to help our furnace run until they could make a permanent fix. Charlie is a professional and a gentleman. I felt very satisfied with his work and would highly recommend them to family and friends. I tried to find others to come out on a Saturday. They were there to help. Thanks. Resting warmly now.

Great! I found the leak when I got home late at night so I emailed a few different companies asking that they call me first thing in the morning. They called at 8am on the dot and were able to get someone out a few hours later. They were a little pricier than I expected but I don't know how much the usual price is for these services. The Plummer was quiet but nice. He wore blue shoe covers in the house, taking the, off if he went outside and then putting them back on when inside which I really appreciated.

They were great from the beginning to the end. At first, after removing the old furnace, the guys saw the flooring was rotted through and they stopped work until the flooring was replaced. After the flooring was replaced they got the heat up and running and they were patient and understanding throughout. Look forward to working with them in the future!

I called them because my AC was not working - which I was nervous about because it could be a number of problems. The technician came out, was on time, and checked out the AC unit to determine the problem. It seemed that it was only a coolant issue and he fixed the issue quite quickly. I am very pleased with the process - it was quick ans painless! I receive a coupon for this service so it was a little less expensive than it normally is. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. Thank you!

Overall I was not happy with the plumbing inspection they performed, It was very basic 15 mins inspection of visible piping . I asked few questions and didn't get satisfactory answers .

After interviewing 3 contractors from Angies List, I picked this one because I felt he took his time, was professional and knowledgable. And he was the only one that suggested and offered a second zone. The only purpose for the upstairs zone is for comfort. And let me tell you. It's great! There is no longer a huge difference in temp between the two floors. It's amazing. I had to borrow $2000.00 more for it, but it has been worth it. The new system has made a difference in lowering our elecric bill.

I knew that the thermostat for our heat pump was not working. It seeemed to be responding to programming changes very sluggishly during the summer for air conditioning and then would not change over to heat at the beginning of October. So it was beginning to get cold in the bedoom wing of our home (another heat pump was operating fine on the other side of the house). I tried to contact Trane to see if I could just oder a new thermostat and have it installed but there was no way to order it direct. I could not find the paperwork on the system and could not remember who installed it, so I took advantage of an Angie's list special and ordered the $58 diagnostic special from Air Plumbing and Heating Solutions. I was able to schedule service in a week and the technician confirmed in 15 or 20 minutes what I already knew, that I needed a new thermostat. By the that time I had found the paperwork on the system and we realized that it would be covered under a 5 year warranty from Trane. So the technician said he would order the new thermostat and they would return to install it. I asked approximately how much installation would be and he did not know but had the office call me back later that day. I was surprised to hear that it would be $205 for installation, so now my new thermostat that was covered under warranty was costing me $263. I OK'd the ordereing of the thermostat and the office person said they would recieve it in about a day and I would be called to schedule installation. I told her that it was no rush and I did not want to be charged expidited shipping. She said it would still cost that much. I did not hear back from Air Plumbing and Heating Solutions for a week. Meanwhile it was getting colder in the house so I called 8 days after the technician had come, and they said it just came in. I was not able to schedule installation for almost a week again, and in the meantime my husband noticed that Home Depot was selling Honeywell programable thermostats for heat pumps for $49 and it said "easy to install in 15 minutes" on the package. I was curious as to why it would cost over $200 to have a professional install one that looked similar to the Home Depot one, so I called and asked for an explanation from Air Plumbing Solutions. They could not tell me why, but did offer me a $50 coupon to help with the charges. I still felt this was too expensive so I cancelled the installation and called another company to come and do the installation. I had to go pick up the thermostat from Air Plumbing Solutions and they charged me $40 for shipping and I had to return the old thermostat. I called Ron Air which I had heard about in my community and is also on Angie's List. They were able to tell me that it probably could be installed in a half hour and that would cost $99, but if there were any glitches, it might cost an extra $30. A technician came out on the next business day and installed the thermostat, and he did need to make some adjustments to the system so it did take about 45 mintues, and charged me $110. He explained to me why it took a little longer than expected to install. He did not try to sell me any additional services or products. I was happy with this work, the explanation, and the price.

I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to see how the system works. In retrospect, I wish I would have let the community know earlier how great this company is. Alan the owner is a very honest man who only hires good quality employees who do a good job. Each employee was pleasant and a pleasure to have in the house. The actual install of the job went very smoothly and at one point they realized that some additional material was going to be needed. They stuck to their original price and did not put me in an awkward position. They earned a lot of trust from me after that. The quality of their work is also very high. One of my friends who is very handy looked at their work and commented how good their work is. As expected, the system works great as designed and I highly recommend this company.

Tech arrived on time and went to work. Was knowledgeable and trustworthy.

The professional that came out was very friendly, checked everything over, showed my husband what he could do himself to prevent problems in the future and never tried to convince us our 19 year old system needed to be replaced. A great experience!

Wonderfully! I am very pleased with the services I received from Air Plumbing and Heating. My water heater would not light because my basement flooded during Hurricane Sandy. I'd been w/o hot water for four days. I spoke with Tammy who was very friendly and professional. She worked around their full schedule and got a plumber to my house the same day I called. The serviceman was on time, replaced a small part and made sure everything was in working order before he left. The cost was very reasonable and I will call them again in the near future to service the furnace and A/C.

We had Vince for our AC/Heating check (Oil furnace). He was excellent - very thorough and didn't mind explaining things to me (twice if necessary). I had a call from the company to let me know that he was on his way - she was very polite too - and he was prompt and efficient. He fixed the minor issues that needed to be fixed and was a very nice man. I will use this company again.
