staff was very friendly and responsive, plumber was great!. However, according to insurance adjuster, %1535 estimate and price was approx 300% higher than similar jobs in my area. Office manager was courteous and made a time and materials adjustment, owner offered another $200 courtesy adjustment. I accepted. It seemed odd that a itemized bill was not provided. I would have been totally aware had it not been for the adjuster.

Fixed what the provider of my service contract could not (or lied about being able to) for a couple hundred dollars, vs the more than NINE THOUSAND dollars the other folks wanted for a new AC system that they insisted I needed. Honest AC providers are hard to find - I like the guy that came out and will be switching my service contract.

It was time to replace the old air conditioner system which was leaking refrigerant and wasn't worth sinking more money into. This was a difficult job to do. I had one other contractor who passed on it because of how the air handler unit was installed in the attic. It's a very tight spot and hard to get to because you have to climb into an opening, through the ceiling above the stairs (100 year old house). Air P & H Solutions was very pleasant and professional to work with (I worked with the owner, Alan) and offered a price that was about $700 less than the other quote I got (after BGE rebate & Angie's List coupon) for a similar system (from a contractor with an excellent Angie's List reputation). The cost would have been less if it was a more "standard" install. Mike, John, & Bobby were the techs who did the install and they did an excellent job. The system is much quieter and much more efficient than the old one. I've used Air P & H Solutions before and I highly recommend using their services.

It went fine. They were just very quick and efficient. They were also very professional. The work that they did was fine and I did not have any problems.

It was an urgent request to have them come to my house!! No A/C. The guys called to tell me arrival time (within window given), asked about issues precipitating call, brought own tools, stayed on task, and explained what they were doing.

Charlie called prior to arriving to ensure I was home. The window was 10-2 and arrived around 10:30am. Upon arriving he made sure to put on booties on his work boots so as not to track any dirt in the house. He had to do this several times going to and from his truck and in and out of the back yard. He changed the air filter which was embarrassingly long overdue to be changed. Went on to explain that the system need to breathe and that this filter was needing to be changed. No problem. He grabbed a new air filter from his truck and replaced it. He did some investigating with the unit inside and deemed it to be in good working condition. The outside A/C unit did have a couple issues related to an unbalanced fan blade and stressed motor which explained why my A/C unit has been very wobbly. I suspected as much, but Charlie went on to explain that the fan blades were too deep inside the unit and wasn't working as efficiently as it could in removing the heat out of the unit. He suggested that the fan and motor be changed in the near future as a precaution since actual failure would lead to other parts that would need to be replaced and cost even more money. All in all, Charlie was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He's an excellent representative for the type of work that Air Plumbing & Heating Solutions LLC provides. Highly recommended :)

I bought the $58 diagnostic special on Monday and got an appointment for the very next day with an 8-11AM window. Rceived a confirmation call about 8:30am and the tech (Charlie) was on site by 9am. He inspected the unit and after about 30 minutes came back with a list of recommendations. There were three things: a blown 30-amp cartridge fuse, low refrigerant, and an aging 40-amp contactor. He was unable to determine why the fuse blew, but thought maybe it was the old contactor. The fuse needed to be replaced ($61) and the refrigerant filled ($203...old school r22 freon is getting expensive these days). Replacing the connector was optional ($174) but it was his recommendation to do it, so I agreed to have it done. They allowed me to also use a "$50 off for first-time client" coupon found on their website. All in all I'm happy with the service. Everyone was friendly and courteous. My one gripe is the pricing. I understand they bulk the cost of labor, travel, etc into these things, but it sure makes them hard to swallow. $61 for a $1 fuse? Personally I'd rather see the real cost with a separate charge for labor... I guess it goes both ways, though, because at least with these fixed-price items you have a known cost up front and don't have the unknown labor charge. I'd definitely use them again, though.

Technicians arrived as scheduled. Carl & Chris. Pleasant and professional. Immediately got to the diagnostic service I had purchased from here. My energy bills have been sky high compared to last year so I suspected my Central A.C. Within 5 min. an issue was suspected due to an inspection inside the house. The outside unit was next and it turns out that the condenser coils in the unit were filthy and not allowing proper ventilation resulting in poor performance and high energy use. A chemical cleaning.was performed. Problem solved.

Something of a saga - AC was patchy early in the summer so I took advantage of a Big Deal to schedule a tune up with Air, Plumbing & Heating. All scheduled and thought we were set. Within a couple of days, the AC stopped working completely and we had to ask them to come out as a service call instead. Our tech diagnosed rusty coils - easy for us to see too and suggested we not bother throwing money away on replacing ALL the freon as it would likely just leak again. He scheduled for someone to come out and quote a new system for us and left, apologizing for not being able to do more. We ended up getting four quotes for different manufacturers and after a lot of research, decided that AP&C was the best for us. Not the cheapest, but in terms of what we were getting and when we'd start to see a return for the high efficiency units we were looking at, they made the most sense. (They weren't the most expensive either!). We liked Harry, who gave the quote. He kept in touch with us via email (my preference - work schedules make it difficult to talk on the phone during the day) and when he made a mistake in one of the options he quoted, made good in another area that made the more expensive system slightly less of a shocker. He also let us know about the increase in BG&E rebates about a week before BG&E alerted customers so great to know he was keeping track of that and we got an extra $300 in rebates, which also helped lower the price. The installation took almost the whole day but the two techs couldn't have been more professional. They wore shoe covers and laid down a floor covering to protect our carpets. I think they took a break for lunch but they were so quiet that it was hard to tell. It was about 86 degrees in the house and incredibly humid. When they finished in the afternoon, they took time to run through how to work the thermostat and made sure they had answered any questions I had. I was just thrilled to see the temperature down at 83 degrees and still dropping! I can't recommend AP&C enough - everyone we have dealt with has been friendly, helpful and taken time to talk to us and answer all our questions.

Wasn't sure whether to purchase a tune-up or diagnostic. Didn't feel the need to have a tune-up performed earlier as ours is a relatively new community. But wasn't sure if the a/c was working optimally. Finally decided on the tune-up as I felt it was now a good idea. Called Tammy and explained the situation and she was kind enough to include the above in her notes for the technician. Technician Carl showed up on time. Although he suspected a leak in the indoor coil, he put additional effort to confirm that. Timely, polite, knowledgeable...all good. His final diagnosis was the a/c indoor coil was leaking which had caused the Freon level to go lower. He recommended that we replace the indoor coil and replenish the Freon...provided the same information on a work order. He also took the information required to check if my a/c equipment was under warranty. Got a call from Tammy the very next day who checked and confirmed that the required parts were still under warranty and accordingly provided a quote of 826.67 for the entire job. They need to order the part and will contact me in 5-7 business days to schedule the repair work. Overall, thus far my experience with Air Plumbing and Heating has been positive...I'll provide another update shortly. -------- Update. As it was going to take a few business days to receive my new a/c coil and then a few more days to replace the coil, I again called APH to see if they could just replenish the freon for a temporary relief from heat with the understanding that leak may still occur. My family with kids were feeling uncomfortable due to the hot temperature inside the house and I explained the situation to Tammy.She promised to call me back assuring a suitable solution. Thankfully, APH received the part earlier and I got a call from Tammy scheduling the technician for the very next business day. My family and I were very pleased. As scheduled, the technician Bobby came and replaced my a/c coil and performed other related repair work. The whole work took almost four hrs. Bobby seemed very courteous, knowledgeable and competent throughout. He patiently answered all my questions. A/C seems to be working fine...my family is happy and I hope I have a long-term/permanent solution to my a/c issue. Again my experience with APH was very positive.

I had been getting quotes for a while to replace my aging boiler / hot water system / oil tank. I wanted to keep the radiant heat, so I wanted a gas boiler, and I also wanted to minimise space used so I was interested in combo units of decent quality. Most contractors either wanted to install (or only handled) a few particular units, and most of them went to town quoting for extra gas lines, chimney liners, you name it. It was also nearing heating season, and I was going to be traveling soon, and the oil tank was empty and I really didn't want to refill it, so I was looking for responsive. Air Solutions came out within a week. The owner actually conducted the quotation visit. (sorry I've forgotten everyone's name). He offered advice, but listened to my preferences (I was fairly certain I liked a Triangle Tube unit from internet research, because it vented directly outside, and he agreed it was sensible given my old chimney). Air P&H were one of a few that had experience with them . Then he went through the whole house checking where gas lines and water return lines etc would be. The quote took a couple of days, after he'd run the calculations needed. It turned out after measurement that I didn't need a bigger gas line, I didn't need a chimney liner (the unit could indeed vent directly out the side wall with the right exit pipe configuration). They would however need to send the boiler condensation / overflow up to the second story to attach to the washer / dryer drain.This seemed stupid given the boiler was in the basement near the main sewer line, but apparently to be up to code it was necessary. I still think its stupid, but I appreciated they didn't try and skirt code. The price included the old oil tank removal, and was very competitive overall, and they came out about one week later. The installation took one (very long) day. 3 guys turned up early, and went to work. The water was off for a while, but they gave me good warning of when that would happen. Overall they were neat, clean, and professional. They took pride in their work, and seemed to check everything twice. At the end of the job, instead of an ugly boiler and water tank, I had a nice shiny white 2 x 2 unit on the wall, and a nice lattice of new copper pipe. They really did a good job of keeping the whole assembly as close to the wall as possible (I explained I wanted to refinish and possibly rent the basement area one day and cared about space), even moving some existing pipe to assist. The owner came by the next week to check the work, and a few days later a separate guy turned up to cut up and remove the oil tank. I happened to be home, although it wasn't required - but again, friendly, competent and fast. The unit has been working faithfully for almost a year now with no issues. Given the number of poor contractors I've dealt with in the past, the whole experience was a pleasure.

The pleasant professional arrived during the window that the scheduler gave me (which incidentally was within 24 hours of my phone call). He checked my system carefully and diagnosed a problem. He also told me that the office would investigate whether or not this part was under warranty as it is expensive to replace.

The company called me early letting me know the repair man could show up early. Within 15 minutes of that call he was at my house. He had to go into the crawl space to find the pipe, about 15 minutes later he came out and told me that he had to replace a section of the pipe which had a split in it. Came back in with the right tools and parts. About 35 minutes later he was done. Came out and showed me the pipe which he replaced. He had me turn on the water main and the faucet to make sure the leak was fixed and that no others were present. Total cost was $184.00 which seems kind of high to me but from looking at other reviews it seems about the standard. Overall I am happy with their service and will call them again in the future.

When the company representative was leaving our home, he said he would have the estimate to me that afternoon. It is now 10 days later and I have yet to hear from the company. We actually have had our job completed already by another company that provided us with an estimate after this company had come out. This company is terrible to deal with, do not use them!

After moving into our new home (old house) back in November, we had been dealing with the horrible smell of sewer gas coming from the basement every time we ran water in the sink in the kitchen. Was horrible. We had a number of plumbers/experts tell us they didn't know exactly how to fix it, and the process of even determining what was causing it would cost us in excess of $500.00. Air Plumbing & Heating came out, and after we discussed what was happening in the sink in the kitchen, immediately recognized that the pipes under the kitchen sink had not been installed properly. A short while later, fixed, and I'm happy to say that we are no longer getting sewer smell coming from the basement!! Our technician was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He also provided me with a product that would help with cleaning our pipes. A non-chemical, organic product has in just a few days, made a big difference in the drainage of the kitchen sink. Can't recommend this company highly enough. We will definitely call them again should we require any plumbing needs!

The air conditioning stopped working. The technician came as scheduled. He quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it in an hour and half.

We had a great experience and have a much more comfortable home. They explained the full range of HVAC options and helped us find what we wanted rather than pushing the most expensive or thorough option. We have stayed with this firm for our regular maintenance needs as well as potential urgent service in the future.

Past (water heater replaced) and current service (gas line disconnected) has been great. They are professional, reasonable, prompt which I appreciate when paying for customer service. Kudos!!!!
