I needed new heat pumps for my multi-zone home, and got three estimates from well-rated providers. They were all pretty similar in price, but Air Plumbing & Heating were the most responsive and the only ones to follow up. The owner himself came out to do the estimate, and after installation came out again to make sure everything was done to his high standards. They also handled all of the paperwork for registering the units with the manufacturer and submitting rebates. I really got the sense all of their employees, from the technicians to the owner to the people answering the phone are especially focused on customer service and making sure the customer is happy. That's really why I chose them over the others. I'm very pleased with their service and my new heat pumps.

Crew showed up on time. Completed project same day. Work was done competently. Office was very helpful in getting energy efficiency rebates applied for and sent to us.

Several times a week we were experiencing a problem where the furnace was tripping the circuit breaker. The problem was especially bad on the coldest days. I used an Angie's List deal for a diagnostic service call from Air Plumbing and Heating Solutions. They immediately responded when I purchased the deal and scheduled me for an appointment a couple days later (would've been sooner if it had been convenient for me). Charlie, the technician, arrived during the scheduled time. He was courteous and professional. As he investigated the problem he explained in detail what he was doing to diagnose the cause. He found loose wires at the panel that were the likely cause. He tightened those as well as those in the 'air handler'. Then he thoroughly tested the unit afterward to ensure that the problem had been fixed; it had. He also offered advise on lowering our electric bills and better maintaining our unit. I was very pleased with his work and would use them again if necessary.

We set a date a few weeks in advance for a time window of 10-12. They called at 10am that morning to reschedule. Luckily I have Fridays off because if I had to take a work day off and got late notice like that I would not have been happy. They rescheduled for the following Friday and came on time. Their work was great, they were able to answer my questions and give me some advice. They were able to tell me how much life I have left in my system and they did not try to sell me anything which was nice. Overall I was very happy with the price and service.

Everything about my experience with Air Plumbing and Heating Solutions has been good. I got several estimates and decided to go with Air Solutions because their prices were the best, the equipment they offered was highly rated, and Jeff Brewer took the time and care to measure every room in my house to determine the right size for the equipment. Initially I was concerned because Jeff recommended a smaller a/c unit than others, but after he explained his rationale and I did my own research I concluded his decision was the right one. A larger unit would have been less efficient and possibly cause more trouble for me in the future. Rooms should be measured to determine the right size equipment--make sure your contractor measures and also checks your windows (we just had new energy efficient windows installed, some triple pane and the others double pane, so that influenced the size of the equipment, too). I was concerned that I had scheduled the installation the day before I was to have surgery (worried they might not finish in one day). But I should not have worried. The workers (and Jeff) showed up a little later than expected because of terrible beltway traffic (the office called to tell me they were delayed), but the work went smoothly and they were done well before the day ended. The workers explained how to use the new digital thermostat and everything was cleaned to perfection before they left. Jeff called to make sure we were happy and to ask if we had any questions. The only thing I mentioned was getting manuals, which are now generally provided online. The new equipment is so quiet we hardly know it's on. We had a few days that were warm enough to try the a/c and what we noticed most of all was that because the equipment is set to dehumidify, we can set the thermostat higher and still stay very comfortable because the humidity is removed. The gas furnace is extremely quiet. Initially, we had some concerns about the humidifier, which drains into our sump. We were worried about the water freezing as it exits outside in extremely cold weather (down in the teens or below). Jeff was unbelievably helpful, even offering to change the drainage to our utility sink at no cost to us. However, we decided to try using the sump and it has not been a problem even with the extremely low temperatures we've experienced this winter. The humidifier (Aprilaire) has made a huge difference this winter. Last year, we were literally creating sparks every time we touched just about anything. This winter we have had very little static electricity. Jeff Brewer was honest that there is no way to get interior humidity above about 40% at best in this part of the country, but even at the low to mid-thirties, that is enough humidity to make a big difference in the dry air in the house. We've had very little static electricity and we've noticed our skin is not nearly as dry. We have had one small problem, which Air Solutions fixed the same day we called. The drain pipe from the humidifier slipped a little and there was a small amount of water on the floor. The plumber fixed the problem very easily the same morning I called. I also want to mention that we received $1900 in rebates from Lennox and BGE. Both arrived within six weeks. One more thing: get a digital thermostat. We LOVE this thing! It makes controlling our heating and a/c so easy and extremely accurate. What is so great is that you can set different seasons, set to humidify or dehumidify to specific settings, set to switch automatically between the a/c and furnace, which is something necessary during spring and fall. I will definitely use Air Solutions again for all my plumbing needs. Highly recommended.

It was good. They came within a week or less. The problem turned out to be more simple. They seemed honest. They seemed like they were responsive and fair, and they seem like they knew what they were doing. They were professional and all the things that you want. I think they were pretty responsive. In terms of price, I did make calls to some others before they came out and actually they were more reasonable.

It went fine, I would recommend them.

It is just too expensive to get the work done and I am just going to go with someone else.

Plumber came on time and discussed with me what he would be doing. He walked me through the process of removing and installing a new faucet and made sure at several points that I was satisfied with the work. He triple-checked everything to make sure everything was functioning before he left. We actually got along so well that we had a nice discussion about vacation spots this summer! Mike, the plumber assigned to us, was one of the nicest and most honest people I have met. I enjoyed the experience immensely and plan on using them again to look at a new AC unit. A great company that I highly recommend!

Provider recommended a toilet, which is very nice looking and seems to flush well. They gave me a phone consultation to discuss my job beforehand, 'Russ' was very pleasant and helpful as well as willing to accommodate my preferences. Even stayed on the line as I made measurements of the area. The plumber came in a timely manner, was pleasant and respectful, worked diligently and even did a small extra at my request.

Disappointed in that are highly rated, but don't cover my area. Constructive criticism ... would be nice if the website were setup based on zip code or something like that so we don't waste business and personal time on service area limitations. Thank you anyway.

I purchased the $99 for $200 worth of plumbing service toward installing owner's supplied (Insinkerator Evolution Excel) garbage disposal. Scheduling the appointment was easy. The technician arrived on time and was very professional. The installation went well and was completed in 20 minutes. This is the 3rd time we used this company, the first two was for maintenance of our HVAC system and installing whole house humidifier. I would say they are one of the best company to work with, fair price, excellent quality of work, and professional services. You don't have to worry about them trying to take advantage or sell services that you don't need.

No story- just informed me that I lived outside the service area. Was told I lived "too deep" in the city.

The preferable date I wanted they were full so I had to get another company to perform the service.

It went well. The technician was on time and as he did the work he was keeping me abreast of what he was doing.

Not only did Mike fix the leak, he also helped me close the valve and gave me tips on fixing the dry wall and avoiding such a disaster again.

It did not go well, it started out with the plumber asking me what was going on under the sink, I explained to him that I recently purchased the house and did not understand what was done previously. The plumber then explained to me that I was actually outside of their service area and that they were a small company with only two plumbers. He then told me that he had no idea why the plumbing was configured as it was but it would be a "pain" for him to have to fix it. He then told me that it would cost a couple of hundred dollars "probably" and that I should ask around for other estimates. He then explained that he would provide me a written estimate and needed to call his supervisor from the truck. He was out in his truck for a few minutes, came back in and told me that it would be almost a thousand dollars, maybe more and that I should ask around for other estimates. He kept telling me to search for other estimates. It was clear that he didn't want to do the job. When I asked for the written estimate that he promised, he told me that I would receive the written estimate in my email. I never received anything in email.

Needed help with my gas fireplace and not a furnace. They don't work on fireplaces.

Responsiveness to our call was quick and the time from our call to the work being completed was within a week. We were thrilled with the work. Also, the professionalism (and friendliness) of Mike Schwartz, the plumber that did the work, is to be commended. We will certainly call Air Plumbing & Heating Solutions in the future.

Team showed up 5 minutes into their window on a cold and snowy day. They were respectful, professional and performed their job better than any other service provider has in our home for a long time. They told us about some safety issues wrong that three other providers missed. Overall a Class A team. I would welcome them back anytime.

I called them to see if they could come out today to fix the heat. They were unable to so I could not use this deal.
