They were excellent. The first visit was for the estimate. I was not there when the estimator came. He clearly explained everything to my wife and gave her an itemized estimate. When the crew came they were early and spent nearly four hours working quietly and replaced six valves and a motor. They drained the whole system and refilled it and added antifreeze. After that they cleaned everything including rust stains that were on the boiler. They even discovered a small hole in one of the pipes and replaced it at no cost. They were polite, professional and explained everything I asked. I was very impressed and would definitely hire them again.

They did an excellent job. They were able to come in a timely manner, fix the problem quickly for a good price. They were very professional. I highly recommend.

Initially quoted rate above service contract schedule. Technician was late, and unaware he was supposed to do an AC service. He did not have time to do it. When advised of their error, company did not offer to do AC service without incurring another separate service call fee. Prior service from company had been fine.

After seeking several quotes I decided to go with Air Plumbing and Heating Solutions LLC. I felt like the sales representative was being very careful to make sure I was getting the solution that was right for me and was very honest. After another review of my existing unit I went with a full replacement Lennox system and I am very happy with it. The air distribution in my town home is much better than it was with my old unit. In addition the company was very respectful of my timeline for installation. I would highly recommend this company.

Very well. The senior plumber diagnosed our problem and gave us a quote. We decided to have the company doing our remodel do the work because they'll be upgrading both bathrooms. We paid the $59.00 trip fee.

We sought out other quotes for a new Lennox unit that were comparable. Ultimately we went with Air Plumbing & Heating because of their professionalism and high quality work. They made the process easy from start to finish.

It went extremely well. They were professional and answered all my questions and walked me through the process. They were prompt and skilled.

They came out, needed to order a part, because the toilet was so old. Scheduled a follow up appt, Appt came, wasn't the same guy. He initially quoted a higher price, we pointed out it was a follow up and that even though the solution was different and more extensive, the price was higher than we were expecting. He honored the original price and did great work.

Quality work and needed a new HVAC.

This is an update on my original review from 2007. I have continued to use them for maintenance of my heat pump and have expanded to use them for all my plumbing issues as well. I’ve also recommended them with confidence to several neighbors, all of whom were very satisfied with their work. Of course, over 11 years I’ve met quite a few different members of their team, but they have all been competent, professional, and tidy. They replaced my upstairs neighbor’s heat pump last summer, and I’m going to use them to replace mine this spring.

They are very irresponsible. I am not happy with the over all experience at all and I will not recommend this company.

The tech was on time, very polite, and friendly. He did everything to keep the price reasonable (reusing parts when salvageable). It was his first day, and he quoted me incorrectly. He didn't realize he was supposed to charge a diagnostic fee in excess of $100 (closer to $200) for cutting a hole in the ceiling. I heard his boss reaming him out over the phone. The reason I rated them a C in price and overall, and the reason I may not use them again, is the management. It's ridiculous to charge over $100 for 3 minutes of unskilled labor. It's also unprofessional to verbally dress down your employee while on site. The only reason I would be willing to give them another shot, is because of the tech.

They called us within two hours of contacting them through Angie's List, came out the same day, and fixed the problem quickly. We very much appreciate the quick action, with heat restored and a warm house again before night fell.

They did a very good job. They explained things well and they were a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely use them again.

I am writing this review almost a year later, because I forgot to write it sooner. However, I wanted to leave this review because wanted to let readers know that I got good service from Air, Plumbing, & Heating Solutions LLC. After they finished my first project at my house, I actually called the company for another project: to fix a plumbing problem at my grandmothers house. Both times the gentlemen were on time and professional, and I recommend this company to those needing plumbing services.

The service itself was routine; the technician inspected the system, made necessary adjustments (just cleaning), and confirmed that it was still in good condition. I made a service appointment for 10:00-2:00. The technician was in the area early, and made a courtesy call to ask whether he could come early. Besides being polite, this saved some trouble, as I had to decline the early appointment because the person with the key to the roof wasn't in yet.

We have been extremely happy with this company's installation and maintenance and have recommended them to our neighbors.

This was a very custom design that I had developed with their assistance. We had a cheap $40 recirculating range hood that came with the house but purchased a professional gas/electric range so we wanted a true venting range hood. Problems that my kitchen range is in the middle of the house, 5 feet from the wall the other side of which is the two car garage. No clear run to an exterior wall. So AVS proposed a run up through the cabinet over the stove then bending left and straight through the garage wall, after which it turns up and runs above the garage ceiling where it turns left again and runs straight across the garage ceiling to an exterior vent hood. They installed backdraft dampers at the exterior vent, which they came back and adjusted about a week later. They mounted and connected the duct to a new deluxe high power range vent hood that I had purchased along with the new range. Their work was extremely neat, looked like it was done by professionals, and everything works fantastically. My wife loves the new exhaust hood’s ability to remove any amount of smoke that comes off the self cleaning oven or if anything burns on the gas cook top (don’t tell her I said that). AVS is definitely the company to call if you need custom kitchen vent design and installation.

It went well. I feel like my house needs so much work and Jay was so non-judgmental, professional, communicating everything to me clearly. I plan on using this company again.

HVAC Inspection led to recommendation to add gas due to possible leak in coils. Price for gas was about indiustry average for full service HVAC - which I have come to understand is many, many multiples more than DIY. Had I known then that I could buy the gear and suppliens necessary to fully recharge the system twice for far less than they cost of them partially recharging the system once, I would not have paid them to do so. No complaints about the company. They were great, and the technician seemed competent. As price was about industry norms, I am putting down a 'C'. That said, there is an opportunity to excell here pricewise that is being missed out on across the industry.

Turned up on time -- same day call. Super service. Would be delighted to work with Air Plumbing and Heating again.

I was very satisfied with the company. I used them, and their service. They came out, but that $53 deal actually is kind of bogus. It's not real, because if you come out and you have the work done by them, and they admitted this themselves, if you have the work done by them, they will waive the coming out charge. I was under the impression that the charge they make for a service call before they do anything is about $59. So basically, if I did not use the $53 coupon, I'd pretty much be paying the same price. I'm really not getting any advantage out of using that coupon through Angie's List because they waive the service charge if you have the work performed by them. If you don't, well then that might be a little bit different. So you're not really getting anything for it. I think I've used them before where they took a certain amount of dollars off the charge for the work. That might be different. So basically, what I paid for it was about $250. By using Angie's List, it's like $250; they're waiving the service fee, and they're taking an additional fifty-some dollars off the cost; but if I didn't use Angie's List, it would be $250 minus the cost of the service fee, so I'd be pretty much paying the same thing. I had some questions about the follow-up to the call that they made, and they sort of admitted that on the phone that it's really that fee that you're waiving for the service, you're not waiving it. You're taking money off of the cost of the service, but they're doing that anyway really, by waiving the service charge when they come out and perform the service. It took me a while to really understand that, that is't sort of like a come-on, basically. That's something I was planning to discuss when I wrote the comment about the company and the service, so I thought that might be interesting. It would be worthwhile if they weren't waiving the service charge. If you had to pay that, if you had to pay X amount of money and then you had to pay for the work that they did, but they don't charge the service charge if they perform the work. I discussed that with them, and I guess every once in a while they send these coupons, because I had used them before, and one of the coupons was $30 off for a plumbing repair, and so the lady said well just mail that in to us and we'll give you a $30 credit. Actually, I think they sent me a check for $30, which was nice of them, because I really wasn't getting any benefit out of the Angie's List coupon, basically. The other thing about that coupon also is that, this is a very small thing, but the technician, I think he made a small mistake and he only gave me $50 off instead of the $53, so they had to make an adjustment to my credit card several weeks later. That was sort of a minor annoyance. It's actually hard to understand, exactly. What they did is they figured out the total charge for the work and they took the $53 off, but they would have done the same thing, pretty much, without the coupon. I was paying Angie's List $53 and I was paying them for the cost of their work, minus the service charge. Basically what I was doing, I was paying Angie's List up front, whereas if I had not used the coupon, I would have been not paying Angie's List up front. I would have been paying the total cost of the service and they would have waived the service call, so it would have come out to almost the same thing. I might have saved like $6 because I think their service call cost was $59. If you have them come out and they just look at something and they don't do anything, well then you're paying Angie's List this $53. I paid Angie's List up front, and they took it off the back end, so it was basically the same thing. If I hadn't paid Angie's List, I would have paid the full cost, basically. That particular deal is not really benefiting an Angie's List member. I'm paying $53, and then $250, whereas if I didn't use Angie's List I'd be paying the $250. It's the same thing. Doing it through Angie's List it's adding to my bill and then they're subtracting from my bill pretty much the same amount. If was doing it on my own, it would just be the bill itself. It's the same thing. I guess the point is that that deal is not really a deal. The way it seemed like it was marketed is that I'd get fifty-some dollars off the service call, then $53 off the work itself. It's very misleading. I mean, I'm not getting ripped off, but the company, again, you have to give them credit on a post-basis they accepted this coupon that they had sent in the mail. They just sent some more recently, but when I discussed that with the office manager, they said well yeah, you're not really getting any benefit. Just send us the coupon that you have in the mail and we'll give you a credit for $30. They sent me a check for $30, and also a couple weeks later the service technician who only gave me credit for $50 instead of $53, they made an adjustment there by giving me a credit on the credit card that I used. As far as the service is concerned, the woman checked and at first said oh we can't come out for a couple days, then she said well let me check, and then said we had a cancellation and the person can come out in a couple hours. So I was very satisfied that they were able to come out. I wouldn't call it an emergency, but what happened is I live in a condominium and I called my maintenance guy. He came and looked at it and he started running water through, and then turned on the disposal and nothing was happening. The water was just sitting in the sink. Dirty water had come up from the piping underneath. The fact that they came out and responded so quickly was very good. It turned out that, I don't use my dishwasher, and I put almost no food down through the sink, through the disposal, but I had been using a lot of oil in cooking and that was mixing with water that I was pouring down the sink and a bunch of grease built up underneath. That's what they found, and they were able to clean it out and did a very good job. I was happy. The only other thing, it was sort of minor, I think I had called to speak to the owner of the company. I was never able to talk to him, but I talked to a couple of different office managers about mainly the charge and the coupon stuff and I was very satisfied with the company.

Greg never came, when I called the office to see if he was running late the receptionist did not appear to have any knowledge of the appointment. I said I had spoke to Greg and she gave me his personal number, which I called and left a message. 1 1/2 hours later no call back. Needless to say not going with them to install an air conditioner.
