+ 0 moreI had purchased a deal for a $58 Cooling or Heating Diagnostic Service Call which stated that it included someone coming out to look at my system to make sure it was running correctly. One of their men came out and looked over my air conditioning system. He stated that there was some piping in the way, so he couldn't take a full look at it, though. He looked at the pump and cleared it out. But, what I didn't know was that would be an extra $124. He did not tell me that it would be an extra charge before he did it. So, it was a surprise when he told me the total charge, after I spent $58 to get him out there. My air conditioning does work fine, but I was not happy with with extra surprise charge for just cleaning out an AC pump. Needless to say, I contacted a different agency to come fix my heater this winter.
Description of Work: I needed someone to look at my air conditioning system to make sure everything was working correctly.

+ 0 moreThe heating in my house stopped working - unfortunately on the coldest night of this winter. So I searched Angie's list and called Air, Plumbing & Heating Solutions on the second day, trying to have it fixed on the same day. It's the first time that I use this company. The lady on the phone line was super nice. The technician came to my house an hour later after I called. He was very professional. It turned out that the hot surface ignitor had a crack and need to be replaced. The technician also helped me checked the other place of the furnace and tried to reduce the noise from the motor. Overall it's a very pleased experience. Thanks so much for all wonderful and quickly services !

He did say he was going to charge me for the visit........ really? what you did could have been done over the phone, I could have told you that the faucet was not one of the few you actually service. You would not have had to come out and charge me for that. I was charged the full $99...... for what? $200 of service? Did not even follow through as you promised. No service.

+ -1 moreThey were unable to fix what I needed. It's not a problem of their own. In fact, I'm going to have to replace the AC unit. I couldn't afford to get it done right now. It was raining the day that they came and the van pulled up front. I went out on the porch and they sat there in the rain. They didn't roll down the window to communicate and tell us they can't check it until the rain stops. I was standing on the porch waiting for acknowledgement. I had to go to the truck and ask them. It would have been helpful if they rolled down the window and communicated to me. That was my only drawback there. We waited an hour for the rain to subside. The communication could have been a little bit better. The price of the initial diagnostics was great.

We ended up having them come twice because we tried to fix something ourselves but needed a professional to come back and help us complete the job. Both Keith & Vince were knowledgeable,friendly and efficient. We had positive experiences across the board and will use them in the future for any of our properties.

When I asked to speak to a manager they told me that I would get a call back but I am still waiting.I called Angie's List to get my money back and I will be doing the work myself.

+ 2 moreOnce the proposals were approved, work started in approx. 2 weeks. They offered with certain installations one year same as cash financing through a financial partner (1st Mariner Bank). The process was quick and easy. Estimates to finish the job were dead on. We chose option 1 from what the provider offered. On the day that they came to perform an estimate, a technician and the owner came to the house. They performed a maintenance evaluation of the current system: (two separate systems) Bundy-Weld heating system Ducane AC unit They measured the house and checked the locations of all the current gas lines and AC ducts to make sure that it would be sufficient for whatever system that they proposed. Their recommendations were very detailed and didn't recommend anything that appeared to be unnecessary. They listened to all of our concerns regarding the age of the home and the current state of the bundy-weld system. With any old home (built 1954), we expected for them to run into issues but their was only one issue running the gas lines and they were able to repair, within reason, the hole they needed to create using an access panel. I don't particularly like patching holes with access panels and I think it looks awful, but they specifically stated that any holes would be repaired with the burden of complete repair of any dry wall was the responsibility of the home owner, which I knew was a possibility. Any and all changes to the system were discussed with us prior to finishing. Their communication was excellent. The workers were well trained and all had been through an apprenticeship program resulting in certification. Owner of the company told me that they paid for their employees to go through the training, these guys were sharp. At the completion of the job, the workers walked us through all changes to the system and showed us how it worked. Even at the end after we signed the completion forms, the person who sold us the system continued to keep in touch so that he could arrange to bring us warranty/maintenance docs, ensured that we could get access to as many discounts as possible. At the end he asked us if we found them through Angie's List and reminded us that they company would provide us with a check. They made sure that we were happy, for sure! We look forward to working with them again in the future, and would rank our experience with them as one of, if not, the highest we have ever experienced with any service. Price was reasonable. They didn't hike up the price. Their work was clean and looked good at the end.
Description of Work: Air · Plumbing & Heating Solutions to supply all necessary labor and material to install a new Lennox gas furnace in Attic as follows: A. Disconnect existing air handler in attic and remove from the premises. B. Install a Lennox model EL180UH045E36A, 80.0% efficient, single speed fan, single stage gas burner. New furnace has an input rating of 45,000 btu’s. Manufacture’s 20 year limited warranty on heat exchanger and 5-years on all parts. New furnace to be installed at location of existing air handler in attic. C. New gas furnace to be installed in new drain pan with pan safety switch. We will relocate condensate pump in to new drain pan. D. Install new Lennox CX34-30A horizontal cased on new gas furnace and connect existing refrigeration line set to new coil in attic. E. We will install new B-vent flue thru roof on back side of roof for flue for new gas furnace. F. Install new return filter grill in hall on second floor for easy access to change filter without having to get in attic. G. Connect to existing gas line in utility room in basement, and run new gas line up rear of house with existing refrigerant to attic for gas supply to new furnace, as discussed. H. Connect to existing line and control voltage wiring. I. Air-Plumbing and Heating Solutions in not responsible for warranty on existing refrigeration lines and air conditioner as we did not supply these items. J. Any repair to drywall to be done by others and are not part of this contract. K. All related debris to be removed from premises, including existing gas water boiler in basement. L. Air · Plumbing & Heating Solutions guarantees labor and material supplied by us for 1-years following date of completion. General: All work to be completed in a good workmanlike manner and in accordance with local codes. Floor protection to be used at all times during installation, from start to finish. Option 1: XC14 Install a Lennox model EL180UH045E36A, 80.0% efficient, single speed fan, single stage gas burner. New furnace has an input rating of 45,000 btu’s. Manufacture’s 20 year limited warranty on heat exchanger and 5-years on all parts. New furnace to be installed at location of existing air handler in attic. Our normal HVAC guy doesn't frequent Baltimore much so I first called someone on craigslist who came out and told us the oil wouldn't flow and the wires were rusted out (pretty much the system was shot) and he would install a refurbished system for us. I know this oil burning furnace is old, however, replacing the furnace was NOT in the budget so I called a few companies on Angie's List and Air Plumbing and Heating Solutions was the first company that actually indicated that they service oil boilers. Yipee!!! The technician had to return the next day because I forgot to leave my telephone on when call came in for estimate. I would have saved the additional $89 trip charge for the 2nd visit had I answered the call. May have saved more if I had purchased the coupon here or put in for the Senior Citizen Discount offered. I am very pleased. After several years of space heaters, the oil boiler is working again. Thanks!
