I used Red Carpet Remodeling to install a new front door. I was very pleased with the work performed by Red Carpet. The workmen arrived on time and took extra time to make sure the work was performed correctly. They even rebuilt some of the framing, which they did not have to do, but improved the overall installation and fit of the door. The workmen were friendly, neat and skilled at the work they performed. I was extremely pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to use Red Carpet again in the future.

I used Red Carpet Remodeling to replace all of the windows in our house. They did an incredible job at a fair price. They arrived when they said they would, finished more quickly than they estimated, and cleaned up after themselves. We were very happy with the service we received and would gladly use them again.

Red Carpet installed a new roof and gutters on our townhouse and did a great job. From beginning to end they were wonderful to work with. The initial consultation was thorough and covered information that we had not received from the previous companies that had come out to provide a quote. There was no pressure from them to sign or commit to anything during the consult, which again set them apart from the other companies. The work was done before they said it would be and the crew was professional and friendly. We will definitely reach out to them in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a new, high quality roofing system.

The rep who came out for an estimate was very pleasant to work with, and was supposed to follow up with email of estimate and specs. Never received the information, so we called the company and they were going to forward the message to the rep. Still no replay so we contacted company again after several weeks and never received a response. Have since contracted with a different company.

Ken came out and and explained the entire job, gave me a excellent quote. work team showed up on time and finished in one day. new roof looks great !

I was introduced to RCR at the Fairfax Fair. I am always on guard while speaking with folks at these events. However, there was zero pressure for a free quote for siding, shutters, gutters and a new garage door; all in need for our 1969 colonial. Ken, the owner, came to our house and was very diligent in his knowledge about products and competition. Again, zero pressure. He was very friendly and knew his business market very well. After several other interviews my family choose RCR because of their neighborhood impact, highly acclaimed reviews and price. RCR offered top-of-line siding and other products far below their competition's price point. On the magnitude of 10k. Before we signed the deal we met to go over terms and find a price point that would work with our budget. Outstanding! The installation, led by Steve, was flawless. The job site was always cleaned every day and the work was top-notch. No corners cut. Our house looks brand new now! Ken remained in the background and kept tabs on the project progression over several days. Again, outstanding job! I have dealt with numerous contractors etc and Ken and his crew take first place in customer service, product quality and installation timeline. We undoubtly recommend Ken's RCR for your home needs. I am thrilled with the results. Please do yourself a favor, contact RCR while conducting other interview. I am glad we did!

Overall we are pleased. We had done our homework before we met with their representative so we had to convince him the door we wanted was indeed available. It took a while to schedule the installation and when we called to check on the status we found out the company returned the door to the manufacturer because of some quality issues with the glass. We're happy they did that--just wished they kept us in the loop. The folks arrived for installation exactly when they said they would, the job took the time they predicted and they cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with the look of our new door.

Other than a hiccup in the ordering process, which meant installation was delayed, things went well. The door is beautiful - and the installers did a fabulous job. They were on time, worked very efficiently, and cleaned up perfectly.

They did a great job. The look of the house is completely transformed. The crews that did the work were respectful, efficient, and took pains to make sure everything was the way we wanted.

I decided to replace the siding on my 26 year old house. I chose a darker gray color ( a little concerned it would be too dark) but I am sooo pleased! Everyone I dealt with, including Ken, the owner, we're so responsive and customer oriented. Each one answered all my questions and the installers worked so diligently for 5 days. It was a pleasure to work with each and everyone of them. I definitely recommend this company. One neighbor told me it was now the prettiest house in the neighborhood!

Not well. "Experience the Difference" is their motto; I can assure you that the experience I've had with this company is unlike any I've ever had before - and one I care never to repeat. Some of the joists in the deck were not installed per the design drawings; the spacing does not conform to the specifications published by TREX for their composite decking material. A severe hump is apparent in the deck as a result. The owner, Jack Kidder, looked at it and agreed it needed to be fixed. The TREX Rain-Escapes waterproofing system was also installed, and it leaks. The project foreman (Matt) looked at it and confirmed the leak, but never returned to fix it. I called and left messages over the course of 6-weeks that were never returned. I managed to get the other owner, Kenneth Lindner, on the phone by using a friend's phone to make the call. I was told the project foreman had been fired for "calls like this one". The guy who built the deck (Jessie) called me a couple of weeks later to let me know he would be out to fix the joist. He never showed up. I called his cell number several times over a two-week period; he finally answered and let me know he had quit working for Red Carpet. I've left messages, but have never received a call back from either of the owners regarding making the repairs. I would recommend staying away from this company; their approach to solving a problem is to ignore it and hope it goes away.

Travis, the general manager, did great job of explaining and educating us on all the options available. The advice and assistance you gave us in selecting and matching colors for the coil around the windows and roofing has resulted in a truly beautiful home. Both your work crews?Eric and his roofing crew and Bryan and his windows crew?were real professionals. Each team arrived when they said they would be here?eager and ready to work. They worked long hours in order to finish our house for us rapidly and efficiently and with exquisite skill. They were patient with us and answered all our many questions and concerns. We experienced total satisfaction. If Becky and I had not seen it with our own eyes, we would never have believed that they could replace a roof from the rafters up, install 17 new windows, and put up gutters in only four days. We have received so many compliments. Please thank your crews for us again.

The only positive of the ordeal was that installation was a breeze ? aside from a few window stickers left on the floor, the interior of our home was spotless when they were finished. However, the same day, and also later on with a separate window, we had major leaks from two windows. It took a while to have someone come out to fix both leaks, we were told incorrect information, and our second appointment was pushed back ? even though storms were predicted, which meant more leaking. Finally, we had a tech that came out and informed us the windows should not have been installed due to rotten headers. We had verified before we signed a contract that any rotten wood the team encountered would be fixed at an additional cost. Also, the previous ?fix? was simply extra caulking over the top of the header. After a long delay, which was a week later than promised, we were provided a quote to replace the headers - of $600. We turned them down, as it was difficult to work with the company and the manager and the original issue should have been taken care of before they even pulled the original windows out. The windows were installed on June 20, 2015 and we had finally gotten the quote on July 13, 2015. The professionalism of the installation team and the techs that came out are about a C; however, dealing with the manager was a F. It was painfully obvious that customer service and our issues with the installation was not a priority. UPDATE: After they replaced the windows I had leaks from 2 of the windows. They did come out and fix it twice but it has now been found that the windows were installed incorrectly. The 2 windows that originally had the leaks one is now leaking again. The window leaks significant water damage. They did try to resolve the issue by first patching the areas and then by providing a quote to fix the headers which should have been addressed prior to installation. They did not try to resolve by fixing the issues that they created. They wanted us to pay before fixing the issue. 7 months after installation and the original leaks, one window is leaking again and there is significant water damage in the other window.

I'm updating my previous review. I was contacted by the owner of Red Carpet who formally apologized for the issues I experienced (and ultimately compelled me to write a negative review). It appears that the staff that I had issues with have been let go and the company hit the reset button. The reason I contacted them in the first place was because their work seemed to speak for itself. They work they displayed seemed well done and, frankly, I liked the people I spoke with at the Dulles Home Show. We're ready to move on and we truly hope things have really changed for the better.

Overall experience was good, they were some bumps during the project and the service provider made sure to correct all issues.

They gave us a written "lifetime warranty". Contacted them recently for warranty work, was told I'd hear from their service department soon. Since then complete silence, they don't answer their phone; not even voicemail. No response on emails either; looks like they may have gone out of business.

Even though we had our misgivings, after all the time we had spent on the two meetings and, with his assurance that the windows would be installed well before Thanksgiving and because of all the great reviews, we gave him the go ahead, giving him the specifications on the brand and size windows we wanted. We also sent the specs by email and repeated that we wanted to only continue if the windows were installed in the time frame that he gave us. It was almost another week before he came by with the final contract and to pick up the deposit check. When he set up this appointment, I told him that it was a busy day and there were errands on my schedule. He said it would be a quick transaction. However, once again he came unprepared. He arrived with a totally blank contract and proceeded to fill out every blank, asking again for our phone number, email, and all the other information that he already had -- including all the specifications on the windows and work to be done! I had to sit there while he painstakingly filled out everything that should have been done before he came. It was a waste of my time. At this point, I was totally unimpressed but we had already agreed to have the work done. I gave him our deposit check and, once again, he said someone would be calling immediately to come out and double check the measurements (again!) before the order was placed. He reassured me again that this would happen within a day or two. However, I never got a call. So, the next week, I called them and the guy I spoke to said he didn't know what the sales guy was thinking of -- that "there's no way realistically to get your install done at all in the month of November." Needless to say, this was the final straw. At that point, we decided we had had enough and cancelled the contract. The lack of professionalism and preparation and respect for the customer's time left us with an uneasy feeling. With all the rave reviews for this company, unfortunately, we were not impressed. They did send us a refund but never even inquired about the reason for the cancellation which we found to be odd.

The guy who came to my house for the estimate (his name was Todd) was so professional and did such a good job interacting with us at our home. He really made me feel like he was going to do a good job. Todd was sincere and had a great presentation for us. We did not pick this company in the end because we chose a company that specializes in decks.

Ultimately they did a good job on the deck part but I had to have them redo a few things. The siding was a different story. From the looks of things, it all looked good. However, I found an external hole through a separate problem in the house. I had them come back out on September 2nd of this year and they looked at it, but did nothing to fix it. I've had repeated calls to them and they tell me they're passing along my message but nothing has been done.

The project was completed in one day at the agreed upon price. The crew was efficient and professional in their work. The crew chief communicated throughout the process and they cleaned up in an acceptable manner before leaving the premises.

Quick, professional, great value. They delivered on everything they promised.

It worked out fine. I was given a descent price and there was an improvement on the heat loss around the house. They did a good job on clean up and quite a nice job.
