Richard was able to fix our invisible fence and ensure that it was working properly. Also inspected our dog's collar and adjusted the settings. We have used this company twice and will use them again!

After researching and interviewing multiple dog containment system installers I selected Richard Brown, the owner of Dog Containment Systems. Richard and his wife, Donna, run an effective operation and provided excellent customer service. I decided to go with Richard because I wanted to work with someone who would not only sell me the system, but who would actually do the installation himself. This is where other companies can fall short -- the sales representative and the installer don’t communicate. Richard was punctual for my appointment and took the time to explain all the details of the Ecolite system which is what I decided to have installed. Since the system includes a rechargeable collar, I have the advantage of never having to purchase batteries. We agreed on an installation date and he installed the system and put flags in the ground in about three hours, then worked with me to begin training my dog. When I found an area in my backyard where the fence wire appeared to be dug out by an animal, Richard came back and reburied the wire deeper to mitigate the problem. My labradoodle immediately learned his boundaries and now I can let him run around in the yard without the worry of him running away. I’m very happy with my dog containment system and I would recommend Richard and Donna to anyone who is considering an invisible pet fence in the future.

Everything went well. Richard took the time to train our dog and the fence has worked very well. We moved out of our house when we had a pipe burst. In the process, we misplaced the electric fence collar and our dog figured out that he could leave our property without getting shocked. Richard came back out and retrained our dog so that he now stays in our yard again. Pet Stop does excellent work and has supported us over the years to keep our dog safe. I highly recommend them.

We made an appointment and the only negative of the day, was that he was very late. He did call and tell me the revised time. When he came, I showed him what I had done and he quickly focused on the twisted pair. He quickly found a partial break, fixed it and the transmitter magically showed the break was closed. He left, and I decided to take the dog's collar and see how far away it worked. Unfortunately, it wasn't activated. About 10 minutes after he left, I called and he returned quickly. He apologized for not doing that check himself. He took out his $800 break detector (I mention the price because that is one of the reasons to get a professional if you can't quickly fix a break) and found two partial breaks. They were quickly repaired and the system worked, including a strong signal to activate the dog collar. He charged me for a total of one hour. It was a bargain and he taught me several tricks along the way which will help me properly maintain the system. Pet Stop installed our invisible fence 18 years ago. We have, over the years, needed to replace equipment or make adjustments to accommodate a new dog. Our old dog (age 11) suddenly decided that the fence he'd respected his entire life, suddenly did not apply to him and he was running through it! The staff was very helpful in helping us to adjust the fence, collar and keeping our dog from running out into the street. We spoke by phone and we also went to their office to change the prongs on the collar.

First and foremost, Richard could not be a nicer person. You can tell he enjoys his work and is a true animal lover. This is the second time we use Dog Containment Systems. We got a new dog back in December, and had an incident where the landscapers accidentally cut the fence and needed to get it repaired. A quick email and I got a call back from Donna. I tolde her what I needed done and she gave me a firm quote over the phone. No surprises. Richard arrived promptly when scheduled and was able to quickly find and repair the breaks. He re-flagged the yard (part of training) and spent time training the puppy. He then left us instructions on how to do the follow-on training and how to adjust the fence when we need to. Of note, I actually called about 4 months ago. Donna and I talked and she said that until the puppy had some obedience training and could understand what "no" meant, that the fence wouldn't be effective. Basically it would just be punitive and leave the dog confused. I'm glad we waited and glad they were honest about the timing. Great company. I can't recommend them enough.

Richard came to the house and installed exactly what/how he discussed with me during the visit for an estimate. He answered any questions I had and started training my dog. I was concerned about putting the fence in, because everyone told me that my dog was too fast and didn't have a care in the world so an electronic fence wouldn't work. She went through it a few times at first, but Richard kept coming back and working with her until she got it. I am amazed that she never leaves the yard even when she see deer or squirrels. Sometimes she even stops at the line when we are going for a walk to make sure that it is okay. I believe if it wasn't for Richard's persistence with her, the fence would not have worked. THANK YOU Richard. This is the best purchase I have made in a very long time. My dog loves her freedom and I love my freedom too!!

Outstanding customer service. When Richard came over to install the fence, I asked about a modification that would increase his work. His smile never waivered and I thought, Uh-oh, this is going to could be a WHOLE lot more money. He charged me almost nothing for what was a LOT more work. And, he kept a smile on his face throughout. He and his wife called me twice to follow up and he came out today to put a second collar on my puppy--she was too young to train the first time. I couldn't ask for a better experience!!!

My whole experience with Pet Stop was excellent, as it continues to be. Richard agreed to travel a substantial distance to install a fence at my home. He called ahead as I'd requested and arrived promptly. The installation covering an entire acre went fast, and afterwards he showed me how to use the transmitter system and spent time training both of my dogs. Training is a necessary step as type of invisible fence system that Pet Stop utilizes advocates a slow build-up of the setting, beginning with a low setting in order to familiarize the dogs with the fence perimeter but not scare them, and progressively moving the setting higher until the optimal level is reached (which can be different for every dog). Other types of invisible fencing systems begin at a high setting and effectively scare the dog, causing them to not want to leave the house or porch. I'm thoroghly satisfied with this system and build-up of training. Richard's knowledge was extensive, and he was great at dog handling. Although it takes several weeks to complete the training program to the best effect, every time a step is needed Richard walks me though it via follow-up phone calls. I highly recommend this service to other dog owners!

It was terrific. Not only did they install it but they also gave dog training advice. They went over and above the minimum requirements. They checked back more often than they really needed in order to make sure everything was OK. Richard had a good relationship with my dog. He was very affectionate with my dog.

Fantastic service and installation. Richard was on time(actually early!!) and was able to complete install in one day. Very professional and knowledgable about the product. Provided training to the dog and me, the dog has done very well with the fence, it has allowed more freedom and exercise I would not hesitate to use this company again

It went very well. Richard arrived on time and did excellent work. I left him a very thin area around some pallets of bricks to install the fence and he did it with a smile. He did a very neat job to bring the wiring into the house and to connecting it to the power supply. He showed me how to use the electronics and how to train the dog. Richard and his wife Donna were very responsive when I called with questions one and two weeks after the installation.

Mr. Brown responded quickly to our call. He came to the house, inspected the property, spoke with us about our needs/concerns, met our two dogs. He made helpful suggestions and gave us an estimate for the work we needed.

They were great. They have the best customer service you can imagine. Every time we need the simplest thing like a battery for the collar, they send it to us. If I need more protection for a pet, I would definitely call them again.
