CHUCK THE PLUMBER

Very responsive, professional, and fair! We had a major issue had to turn off H2O called him after several referrals from neighbors. He answered call showed up had parts on truck and we were back online with water. Thank you Chuck!!!

Chuck arrived at my home 5 minutes to 2:00. I was scheduled for a 10-2 window. He determined my kitchen faucet needed a part to stop it from leaking. I could either order a part or purchase a new faucet. Needed a hose replacement for my dishwasher. He was in a big rush because he arrived late and he said he had several other people he had to service in the same time slot. He charged me $160. just to show up. No mention of that when I called to schedule. Add here on Angie says he gives 1 year warranty and 10% senior discount. He offers neither. He does know what he is doing but he is rude and unprofessional. He did install 2 cartridges in 2 of my faucets and charged me $70. I still have a leaking faucet and damaged hose. Said he had to use my bathroom, didn't ask, and rushed out after I paid my bill. I will NOT be calling him to return. He said I would have to pay the show up fee again. His scheduling seems be set up to require return trips.

Chuck came out to inspect my situation and give me an estimate. His price was fair and competitive. I had a 20yr + old 75gal monster in my basement that needed to be replaced before a catastrophic failure. His crew was great wrestling the new water heater down the stairs and the old one up, installation was smooth and quick and professional. Would absolutely recommend and would hire again

It was perfect. He came on time, did the work extremely neat, no mess at all. The price were reasonably and he was just a really nice guy.

Dave showed up within the time frame established for service and went right to work. He was quite friendly and took the time to explain what he was doing. He worked efficiently and cleaned the area well when the work was completed. He also handled two quick jobs in my other bathrooms. He replaced a faucet handle and adjusted a shower head so the water flowed through more forcefully. The work took just over an hour to complete. I will definitely call this company for any future plumbing work.

This guy is very reliable and personable. He works out of his home which keeps his overhead low. Has good employees

Chuck the plumber personnel were friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and priced fairly. They gave me an appointment the same day for my clogged sink, showed up on time, were courteous , and cleaned up after themselves. The plumber fixed the problem by snaking the drain, verified it was fully clear by running the water for long team and making sure it drains properly, and checking for leaks. I would highly recommend them.

I really don't remember the price. If I hadn't liked it I would probably remember it. It took maybe 2 or 3 hours to complete the work. He was the only one that came out. He left the area perfectly clean when he finished.

Went great. They were able to fit me in when the scheduled plumber who was over 2 hours late did not show up.

I hired this guy to install a new water heater in my house. He and his assistant set the new water heater up and before the job was done, Chuck left to go to the next job leaving his assistant to finish up wiring the new water heater and testing it out. The assistant could not get the new unit to turn on because the circuit breaker at the main house supply box would not turn on. The assistant dismissed this and said my problem was with the circuit box and not with the water heater. I asked him if he wired it properly and he emphatically said "yes", and that I now would have to hire an electrician to determine the problem. He did not go back and check his own wiring job. Chuck's assistant charged me $1,275 for the work done, despite still not having a water heater that worked and not knowing exactly why. The next day I was able to get the lead electrician from GAC Services in Gaithersburg (Bruce Moore who I cant speak highly enough) to analyze the problem. He checked the wiring done by Chuck's assistant and found that the wires were "pinched" in the J-box causing a dead short, not allowing the breaker to set. This findings were detailed on the electrician's bill. The electrician had to cut out the bad wires and rewire the water heater. When I called Chuck to explain the problem and request reimbursement for the electrician, Chuck went nuts over the phone. He called me a liar. He said that the electrician was a liar. He said that no matter what I would tell him, it would be a lie. He wouldn't allow me to explain how his assistant kept trying over and over to make the circuit breaker set, when in fact the water heater had a short and the circuit breaker was only doing its job. Thr conversation went downhill from there. There are plenty of good, honest, ethical plumbers in Montgomery County who stand behind their work. I learned the hard way with this ugly experience. Don't make the same mistake I did.....

Chunk the Plumber said its called a total replacement of parts inside tank. I was quoted 145 on phone, however he said its 235. I was able to negotiate down to 200 cash.. The work was good. It took him about 40 minutes.

Mr. Dowrick stopped by a day or two after I called him, to inspect the existing work, and figure out what parts he needed. Then, two days after that, he came on time, as scheduled, and completed the work very quickly and thoroughly. He did high-quality work while charging us significantly less than the quote/estimate from a larger company. A competent, honest, friendly plumber- what more can you ask for?

Chuck was on time and got straight to work. He determined that the tub drain was fine, no work needed. The kitchen sink was another matter. He asked about the disposal, checked it out and got it working. He soon found out it was leaking like a sieve. He went out to the truck and got a new disposal and put it in. He cleaned up everything! Chuck is the man! The cost of the visit included the new disposal. I have used Chuck's service for the last 14 years. NEVER DISAPPOINTED! I highly recommend him.

They came out right away for the repair. Chuck himself came out for the job. Their pricing was about $1000 less than the company who originally installed the pump. Chuck was very personable, professional and down to Earth. He was very knowledgeable and I did not feel like they were price gauging me at all. The technicians Chuck sent out for some of the other work were great to work with as well. They were very honest and I have already recommended them to others.

It was my first time using the company and everything went very well. They were very responsive. The technician even did a few little things like check the hot water heater without any additional fees. I really appreciated the extra little things they did. They charge by the hour and not off a pricing list. I thought their pricing was very reasonable. The plumber was a good guy and very friendly. I plan using the company from now on.

Our front faucet was leaking and there was no turn off valve in the house. We called to find a plumber and he was very professional and quick to set up and time to come out. When he did he was able to fix the issue. The faucet needed a new washer but the parts were frozen in place and so he had to replace the entire faucet as well as put in a turn off handle inside our house. Good work, good amount of time to fix it and great price for all of the work he completed.

Excellent service. Very efficient. Was very good at explaining what I could do myself such as caulking to stop a leak, and which repairs needed to be done by a plumber. Very good at explaining different options for the hot water heater and installed very quickly.

He (not Chuck, I forget his name) showed up on time, informed me that the hardware would have to be replaced because it was old and faulty, and used the hardware I had already purchased when I had already anticipated this. He did a good job, although he didn't caulk it afterward, saying that it was unnecessary (which I'm sort of curious about. I thought you wanted to caulk all bath hardware that went up against tile). He also informed me that the toilet supply line connector that had burst the previous week had been recalled, which was essential information because I used the same brand on another toilet, and was able to replace it before it also burst. The person who referred me told me that he thought Chuck was a little expensive, but I paid less than I expected. When I had thought about changing the bath hardware a year earlier, my research put the cost at about $80 more than this ended up costing me. Overall, the work was solid, and I intend to use Chuck and his guys as my primary plumber service.

The work was done well and in a timely fashion. The workman, not Chuck personally, was very unprofessional in badmouthing his boss to a client. I take how I am treated very seriously, and that was unprofessional. *IF* I decide to use this contractor again, I will ask for Chuck directly.

He is very good at what he does. It was well done.

Chuck himself came at 6:45am on a Friday morning. He was very pleasant, actually funny, and professional. He inspected the disposal and was able to determine that something was stuck in it. He removed it and then cleaned my sink! I had originally contacted him to replace the disposal which he could have done without me understanding that it was unnecessary. I felt comfortable having him in my home while I was alone.

After being gone for 8 weeks we returned home to find that one of our toilets had been leaking, causing major damage to the ceiling and carpeting below. Chuck came out and got to work! He explained what he was doing and was very neat and efficient. He fixed the leak, so I had him take a look at our insta hot, which had leaked previously. We discussed and he made some recommendations. He will be back to install it when I decide which one I want. He also looked at another toilet that had a very slow flush and a handle that had to be held down to operate. At least 4 other plumbers told me there was nothing to be done about it. Chuck, however, fixed both the flow problem and the problem with the handle! While he was here he also noticed that we have a sub meter for an irrigation system and that it had not yet been winterized. He did a partial drainage of the system and shut off the water. I told him we were thinking of replacing our hot water heater. He looked at it and said that he felt we did not need to do that yet, as we are not having any issues. He flushed it and reminded us to watch it. Chuck was very professional and also very personable, which was a nice bonus. We will definitely call Chuck the Plumber when ever we have plumbing problems. We would be pleased to recommend him to others.
