Response from ATD Landscaping LLC
Actually the customer purchased the deal on October 8 and we responded to him the same day to please provide us with his contact information so we can set up the initial 30 minute consultation. We meet with him and his wife on October 20th, that was the first day they had available to meet with us. The initial consultation per the deal was for 30 minutes, to place the flags in the locations of the planting, we spend an HOUR and a HALF with them. We had another meeting scheduled and had to leave. At this time we explained that the meeting was slotted for 30 minutes and we had spent more time and that we had a customer waiting on us. We did offer to come back at another time to finalize the job, they assured that they would do this via e-mail. Although we do try our best to place the plants in 30 minutes we do realize some customer are not sure what will go where and we do spend more time if needed. In this situation, the problem was that the Mr. and Mrs. were not on the same page and could not agree on what they wanted. The planting was done on November 3rd. The only reason we did not go back until November 3rd was because, after we sent out the planting deal outline and asked them to let us know the plant choices, for 2 plants, and we did not get a response for over one week. At this time again we offered to come back to the house and meet with them to finalize everything and they assured that they were happy with the choices. Perhaps they did not read the deal correctly. The deal offered a choice of one tree with the choices being: One 8-9 foot Weeping Cherry, one 8-9 foot Purple Leaf Plum or a 7 gallon Crape Myrtle. When we were there they chose the Crape Myrtle and we did let them know that this was a 7 gallon plant and will not be 8-9 feet when we deliver it. They said they wanted the Crape Myrtle that will bloom later in the season and it was alright that it was not going to be as tall as the other options. As well, knowing the timing of the planting we let them know that this tree is not an evergreen and will not have any blooms and very few leaves when it is installed. They seemed to understand this, until the plant was delivered. When we arrived we provided the services outlined in our proposal, as stated and the Mrs. was very rude to the workers. Furthermore, they upgraded one of the plants and agreed to an minimal up charge and we are still waiting for the minimal payment. We are sorry that the customer did not read the offer as stated and because of this they are disappointed. We are certain in the spring they will have beautiful blooming Abelias, Azaleas and a gorgeous Crape Myrtle Tree. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
