Excellent service. my only complaint would be that they are difficult to contact by phone.

The workers arrived in two trucks and began to lay mulch in the front yard flower beds. They then proceeded to the back yard and began to lay down mulch in those beds also. They completed one bed before I noticed they began to lay mulch only around the borders of the other beds. I saw them all walking to their trucks and thought they were taking a break. Instead, they all boarded their vehicle and left. Two days later, I received an invoice for 576 dollars. The 192 dollar deposit was not factored into the final invoice. I sent an email to ATD with a copy of my canceled check and inquired why the deposit wasn't deducted, and why the job wasn't completed. After talking to them, they were evasive about my canceled check but for another 192 dollars, they would supply 20 bags of mulch to complete the job. After pressing about the canceled check, they stated that they would send me a corrected invoice. At this point, I am searching for another landscaper to complete what ATD started. If they had just told me that they underestimated the job, that would have been okay. But when they stated that they would finish the job for 20 additional bags for $192 dollars, the exact amount of my deposit, it was time to move on. I will not be using this company again and will not be recommending them to my friends and neighbors.

The assessment visit went well in terms of planning what would be planted where and when. Tina came out and seemed extremely knowledgeable and professional. She provided options and made suggestions about what would be best and how to place the plants and tree. Unfortunately, it all went downhill after that Communication was not great. The crew did not show up on the date I was told they would be there to plant bushes and tree and Tina/the company did not let me know that would be the case or explain after the fact-- I had to email and ask. They did complete the work several days later on a Saturday when I was out of town. When I returned Sunday late morning, the tree and newly planted bushes were wilting and looked half dead. The tree had/has many half-eaten leaves. There was no email telling me the work had been done or suggesting I give the plants extra water because they had not been able to, or something to that effect. The landscaping crew did not put enough dirt over the roots. They did tell me I would have to add any mulch myself to the base of the tree (which seems odd, but at least I was warned about that). In the meantime, the City of Takoma Park, planted a Black Gum tree in my yard 20 feet away and did a fabulous job placing two stakes and wires to hold the trunk of a beautiful, healthy tree in place and covering a wide area around the tree with mulch. The contract is really striking. For the grass-cutting job, it took almost 2 weeks before a crew could make it out to cut the grass which of course grew very tall. When I arrived home after the lawn had been cut, I found ugly, chunky, still very tall grass covered in clippings. It looked really terrible and when I contacted Tina, I was told that this was to be expected because the lawn was so high. I agreed to pay extra to have the crew come out and cut the lawn one more time to get it shorter and neater. A week went by and they still hadn't shown up and the grass was just getting taller and taller, of course. They did remove the clippings and put them in a bag, but did not re-mow the lawn, so the whole experience was very disappointing. I ended up cancelling the grass-cutting contract. When I had someone else mow the lawn a couple of days later, I returned home to a beautiful, low-cut even lawn, with all the clippings raked away and gathered in a leaf bag, for only $5 more than the professional landscaping/lawn company charged. Hopefully my experience with this company is the exception. Other reviews were good, so I was surprised to have such a disappointing experience.

Tina gave us great ideas and advice for landscaping the sides of our house. She was very responsive and we got scheduled quickly. The work was done on time and as planned. The price was right and it looks great.

ATD Landscaping did an excellent job from start to finish. It was easy to arrange a convenient time for ATD visit my home and prepare the landscaping plan. They arrived at the scheduled time to view my backyard and discuss the plan with me. They were very professional. ATD thoughtfully prepared the landscape plan after considering all relevant factors. The planting occurred on time. The plants are thriving and have really enhanced the beauty of my backyard. My only regret is that I did not hire ATD Landscaping years ago. I have employed several landscaping companies over the last 25 years, and ATD Landscapting is by far the best I have ever used. The price was also very reasonalbe for the services performed and plants provided. I can recommend ATD without hesitation.

Overall I am very satisfied. Tina at ATD was extremely responsive - she returned all my calls and emails quickly and met with me at my home on several occasions as we worked on the best way to handle the back walkway. She was very in tune to my timing, concerns and satisfaction, and I am very happy with the work done by both her company, ATD, and Hometown. ATD is also handling my weekly lawn service and is doing an excellent job.

The service was good and it went well. I used the Big Deal coupon for this service which was for $399 and I also had some additional work done. Initially, they were very prompt, accommodating and on time. Then, there was a glitch in between but they were very responsive afterwards. There was some stuff about the time, the code and stuff like that; but they were all resolved. Overall I was satisfied with their service. I have no idea about the prices of yard work. There was a time in between when I had to send an email and I didn’t hear back from them for a day or two. Then I had to do a follow up.

We bought the coupon for $399 for the Spring Landscaping Package. I thought it was very expensive when all was said and done the landscaping does look nice and now the front of the house looks groomed. So we can’t complain at all. However we would not use them again. Apart from the $399 there was an additional $822 for what we wanted done. But when we look at what was done we don’t think there was $1300 spend, it would have been we think about $ 400 in total. We think the rest was $822 but they charged us for the mulch and there wasn’t much to mulch and put some blocks down. I guess what we did for $1200 probably should have been only $400. But they said no mulch and we wanted mulch.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay and they did what they were supposed to do. The work was okay; nothing spectacular. I would possibly use them again.

Saw the ad and purchased under the Big Deal promo. They called a few days later and installed within a week.

Tina came to our house and gave us an estimate. She spent a lot of time with me, and took notes and measurements. She had very good ideas about plants that we could add to our landscaping, and was pleasant to work with. She e-mailed me two quotes, one for the spring clean-up and one for replacement of our patio, which is falling apart. I hired ATD to do the spring clean-up and mailed a deposit. She got me on the schedule right away and the clean-up was done on 4/2/2013. The guys that did the clean-up did a great job. The beds with the new mulch look beautiful, and the yard is spotless. They removed the fence posts as requested, and filled in the holes without being asked. Very professional. The area behind the shed, which was a disaster, is now a pleasure to behold. We are very happy with their service and will definitely continue to work with them in the future.

ATD has consistently made the yard look great, they always leave the yard clean and pick up all trimmings. Their pricing is reasonable. For me - the quality, honesty, and reliability are most important and ATD has consistently demonstrated these qualities to me for many years.

I am very happy with their work and I use them regularly. They are very flexible. I would rate them highly and I would use them again in the future.

I love them. They charge $35 per week for the lawn care. The company name is Attention to Detail. They are aptly named because they don’t leave anything. They go the extra mile. When they do the lawn, they also get a weed whacker. They don’t leave a blade of grass. They are amazing.
