It was an excellent experience. The ATD Landscapers were a pleasure to work with. They went out of their way to go above and beyond our specific requests in clearing our yard. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

The company did a great job. We have a very large yard with lots of trees and a sand volleyball court. They cleaned up all the flower beds, the court, and put the leaves in the woods in the back where we asked them to put them (extra work). Plus, they come twice for the cost. We are very pleased with the service and will look to use them in the future for other landscaping needs.

Planning went smoothly. I purchased 2 mulch deals from Angie's List, then contacted the company to add fall clean-up to the deal for a separate price. Person on the phone was very accommodating. Hector was the one who did the yard. He was a hard worker, did exactly what I wanted and had some good suggestions for me. Mulch came late in the afternoon with 3 or 4 more workers, who all stayed until they were finished. My yard had been neglected for most of the summer, and it looks so much better now! I will definitely go back to ATD Landscaping.

I was near tears before I started my relationship with ATD. Between some health setbacks that kept my regular crew (family/self) from working on the yard, I turned to another landscaping company in my area that did a "decent" job but was so high and untimely (continuous excuses on why they did not show up and a new crew member every time!). The latter left me feeling completely frustrated and overwhelmed. The yard while not huge has a lot going on! There is a decent front yard but a big backyard and bushes and flower beds around the entire property. There is always a lot of work to do here (smiles)! Spring some months ahead and while all injuries are now a thing of the past ATD is here to stay with us! I love yard work and could be outside for hours and even days (smiles). However, since we have started working with ATD my family (all adults) have moved from the role of gardening crew to admirers! I get as many compliments as before on the yard and definitely more since continuing the relationship from some of the projects they did! Tina has beat every estimate and provided work above and beyond my expectations. I feel continuously the yard is transformed, improved and maintained to the highest standards. ATD is really attention to detail oriented! A family member is often home when the work is done and continues to attest to the ease of conversation flow with the crew when necessary, they maintain the same crew who are respectful, courteous and care about their work! My own experience from observation is a relaxed crew which in my opinion raises Tina as a great employer. My home is my palace (without being one!) having ATD keep the outside extension of my home has brought me continuous joy and given my family a lot more time together! The company is also very easy to work with on my estimates and monthly invoices. I receive emails with my invoices and then my credit card is charged (on file). My busy schedule appreciates the detailed invoices and this automatic payment feature (smiles). I am still also able to reach ATD with ease and like clockwork every week the crew shows up on the set day of the week and big projects I am always contacted with an exact date and they have never run beyond the schedule. I continuously hear from family/friends that they returned to the yard work days after their long work days because of landscaping companies being unreliable ? sloppy work, do not show up or just plain have high costs associated with their work. Another big concern that seems to linger is the many different people who always come to their homes. I am not a big fan of this since some of my neighbors have had incident (robberies) surrounding this type of thing. I like to know and meet the crew and if there is an issue I can point out a specific person and work on it from there. I feel having the same crew they know my property?s pros and weaknesses and any recommendations are not just thrown out, but fitting for my yard. I also do not worry about my ?grand? around because she is used to the crew and even our dogs have grown used to them. I feel safe with the crew that comes. I know my family is safe. This was the 1st summer we were away and returned to a beautiful yard because the crew came the many weeks we were away. I have recommended ATD every opportunity I get and I will continue to. As homeowners we value trust (owner who makes herself available for discussions about the work, timely on estimates and work scheduled, seeing the same crew, keeping to the schedule), price (beat the 8 estimates I got initially and continue to get ? leaf cleanup!) and attention to detail (impeccable job done every time!). ATD has given me the 3 and now my ?puttering? in yard is for joy not the old ?toiling? I did 10+ years in this home (smiles). ADT kept and renewed my pride in small businesses and what old fashion employers and companies ?used? to be like. ATD radically cut back 60 feet of the hedge by 6 feet and more in some instances, until I caught them. Unfortunately the damage was already done on most of the hedge. Moreover, they never finished the work. They only cut a few feet above a privacy fence. These are mature trees and needed to be trimmed at least 15-20 feet above the fence so that the overall conical shape of the green foliage is maintained. ATD should never even have bid on this work because the poles on their telescoping hedge trimmer were much shorter than the one I had described to Tina when she was out here to bid on the job. Even so, ATD did not even trim the hedges to the height limit their poles allowed. ATD has refused to finish the work, which includes weed killing down the side of the hill after the hedge ends so that I can create a crushed stone path. They have refused to hire a firm which can do the hedge trimming correctly up to the 15-20 feet range, or at this point just try to minimize the damage ATD caused. Their only defense has been that Cypress grow back quickly. I am putting this property on the market for sale in early 2015, and it will not grow back or even grow at all by that sale date. They knew this before I hired them. For two weeks this firm was trying to get paid its full fee for the hedge and weeding work, and just giving me the run-around. It was only when I threatened to file a small claims court action against them today to recover the $145 down payment and for damages that they had caused that they dropped the charge for the "work" they did on the hedge and weeds bordering my fence. During this period ATD attempted to extort me by withholding lawn cutting services until I paid the full amount of their bill for the hedge trimming. Obviously, they could not be paid until the breach of contract they caused was cured. I asked for a return of my $145 down payment. They refused. They moved that money to cover last month's lawn mowing, but have stopped the service. I have paid for the lawn cutting every time in a timely manner, they had no grounds to stop mowing, they had no grounds to move that down payment money. I have a lawn mower but I had knee surgery recently and cannot mow the lawn in the backyard where it slopes down. ATD has known about that knee surgery and my inability to mow the lawn myself. It is way too late in the season to even find a replacement firm to mow my lawn, or to find one without being gouged given my predicament. The result is that where I cannot mow the lawn on a hill because of my left knee the grass is going to look just as awful as the hedge now does when I go to put the house on the market. The damage and eyesores to my property ATD has caused will reduce the appeal of it to buyers and therefore could well adversely affect the sales relative to the situation had they done their work professionally and per contract. Background of relationship: This firm was hired in the Spring of this year to do lawn cutting, installation of sod, weed spraying, weeding, and pesticide application on plants. Their prices were high but they offered "one stop shopping" and were fully aware that all of their work other than cutting the lawn was for the purpose of selling the property in early 2015, and at the time they were hired possibly selling in the Fall of this year, an option they have now destroyed by their unprofessional conduct and shoddy work. Their services for lawn cutting and pesticide applications on lawn and shrubs have been fine. The sod work was unprofessional, in several places just throwing sod on top of thinning grass without even preparing the soil. By now all of the sod work looks very thin and of poor quality relative to the rest of my lawn. The weeding was a situation where until the end of the relationship this week they kept taking short-cuts. I had to email or call ATD almost every time, and sometimes the men had to come out here three times to finish a single weeding job. In all I have paid ATD around $2,000. ATD stands for only one thing: ATTENTION TO DOLLARS.

I had great experience with them and will use them again in the future. To sum it up: 1. ATD is very responsive, great communication. 2. Jobs were done very well - fall cleaning, mowing, and mulching. 3. The price was very competitive.

Great! Tina offered great advice about the type of flowers/plants that would do best and about locating them in the yard. The installation team was punctual and professional and did a great job.

The service went okay. They did exactly what the deal stated. I paid an additional to have them remove some plants and to re mulch. They also trimmed back some azalea, rhododendron, and some other bushes. I expected more from the service than what I got. Tina did not talk with me about how to keep the weeds from coming back. They took some ground cover and left some so it looks patchy. I contacted Tina about the issues and she said she would come out and look. She never did, however. I would have been open to any suggestions that would have made the project look better, but they never informed me of those helpful things. I felt like she could have given me more advice. Two to three technicians came out for the job and were very hard workers. I had no problem scheduling the deal, but I would not use the company again.

Work was done extremely well. I am very pleased with the quality of their work.

My yard went from being embarrassing to being amazing. I'm so happy with the work they did clearing out the debris. Our neighbors were so impressed that they asked the company to come and do an estimate to clear away the weeds in their yard. They brought plants in the colors I requested, and when the nursery didn't have the variety of plant that I wanted as part of the deal, they took exchanged the plants and came back on a second day to plant the remaining three plants. Everything looks beautiful.

Arrived promptly. Very professional. Asked for my guidance and direction, followed it very well. Worked very fast but carefully around my plants. The company was very responsive. I would use them again for this service, no hesitation, and am considering them for others. JOB WELL DONE!!!

Everything was great except for punctuality. They didn't tell me when this person was coming out. He just showed up.

They did a decent job with the landscaping. However, they were very slow to respond when I tried to set up the appointment, and they also didn't have any sense of urgency when I called them about some plants that were dying. Ultimately, it was just a so-so experience.

The service went quite well. They put in four butterfly bushes, four azaleas, three ferns, and planted a lot of annual flowers. Three crew members came out and worked for around 2-3 hours planting.

Very professional - was contacted quickly after purchasing and set up a planning appointment . There was a slight delay (3 weeks) before I was called to set up an appointment to plant the items. Yet, it was done exactly like we talked about in the planning session. I certainly would use this organization again.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was great. My husband was involved in this transaction and I know he was happy with it. The mulch came in a timely fashion and whatever he arranged with them is what happened. It was all fine and my husband was thrilled. He did not have any complaints about it. He would do it again and thought it was a great deal.

The person who came out to talk to me was friendly and professional. I have a complicated yard with hills, drainage issues, and mostly shade. She spent well over the allotted half hour to help me problem solve and pick plants. The planting went great. Unfortunately, 3 of the shrubs and the zebra grass died very soon after planting! I didn't contact them, because it was an Angieslist deal, and there was no warranty on the plants because of this. So this is big perk of paying full price, and an example of the risk of getting an Angieslist deal. But it was a great value, so I am still enjoying the nice tree (made it through that difficult winter just fine), several of the shrubs, and we enjoyed the annuals which looked great. Burying the pipes: This was also successful, but it wasn't completed properly at first. The pipe had dirt right in front of it, so the water wouldn't drain at all. However, I called and explained this to the company, and the woman I originally spoke with said she would come out herself to fix it, which she did. (I can't remember her name, but she is great.) I was impressed by the integrity and promptness to this matter, knowing that it was not an expensive job, and she spent her own time to fix it. Obviously, customer satisfaction and retention are a priority for them. I would definitely hire them again when I am ready.

Tina came out to the house at an agreed upon time. She was friendly, knowledgable, and quickly understood the scope of the job. I purchased several of the ATD Angie's lists deals, and contracted for additional work as well. At our fist meeting we set a date for the work to be done. Generally, I am very hands on in the garden, but I had become ill, and was unable to be involved in much of the design decision making process. Tina was very understanding, laid out her plan, and did the entire design and install with very little oversite. This was a first for me, but from our discussion I felt confident that Tina knew exactly what I wanted. The ATD install crew came out on the agreed upon date, and worked until the job was completed. They hand weeded beds, installed trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. They spread almost 100 bags of mulch. After the job was completed, they cleaned up all the debris. The yard looks GREAT, all the plants installed are healthy and growing, and I am delighted with the work. The Spring Deal was terrific. I'm hoping that ATD is going to be offering a Fall Deal. If so, I will purchase it. Overall, working with Tina and her team was a very good experience. Communication was easy, either through voice mail or email. Tina worked with me at a very stressful time in my life, which may have complicated her job, but she never showed it, and was understanding throughout. I am happy to recommend ATD Landscaping.

Mutually convenient time set up for consultation. Met with Tina (owner?) to determine which plants and shrubs would be viable in our environment. Tina was knowledgeable and helpful. The work was scheduled and completed in a timely fashion. It was a please to work with ADT Landscaping!

Overall experience was good. Tina came out and did a very informative, thorough consultation on what we should have planted and where. Scheduling was a breeze and ATD was rather flexible, as we needed time to move some current plants in the location to a different area. Only issue that we had is that the perennial flowers (Black Eyed Susan) we had planted were pretty much DOA. There was some kind of fungus growing on them. Not having a green thumb, we figured that this was something natural and really no need for concern. Fast forward 3 months and 5 out of the 6 BESs are dead. All of the other plants we had put in are doing just fine.

I must have booked them during their busy season in early Spring. I purchased the deal in the first week of April and I had the planning consultation about 4 weeks later. It took another 3-4 weeks for the planting. They did the installation late in May. The project itself went well and overall it was a positive experience as the items planted have all survived 45+ days.The company was responsive to e-mail questions. They didn?t try to up sell me a bunch of extras like everyone else on Angie?s list does. They planted the items as per direction ? they didn?t seem to look around and make other suggestions based on their experiece. My yard has a lot to be desired and could have used some amount of design.

Hello, I recently had Tina from ATD come to my home and give me a proposal for a lot of work I wanted done in my yard, as well as mowing and trimming on a weekly basis. I initialed the proposal and sent it back along with a $1,600 check. They mowed and trimmed the next day and I was not happy with the job when I came home. I immediately called and left a VM for Tina as well as took several pics and sent them to her. It took two days for a reply via email (never got a phone call) and she said she would call me this past Monday (never got a call). I sent an email on Tuesday stating that in view of the poor quality of mowing and customer service, I was not moving forward with her company and that I had stopped payment on the $1,600 check last Saturday. I also purchased ATD's mulch deal for $185 (25 bags and they would spread it). Tina said I had to contact you all for a refund. I would like a refund. I am going to officially post a review of ATD as they have an A rating from you all for quality work and customer service but this was not my experience at all! Thank you. Leslie Townsend

erallThe Good: - The price was unbeatable; I received similar quotes from other companies on Angie's List and ATD was easily the least expensive. - The work performed was excellent. ATD showed up right on time, completely weeded the area as requested and moved all of the yard waste to the street for pickup - Tina (who I assume is the owner) was willing to work with me to make things right when things went wrong The Bad: - Communication. It was difficult to get a hold of them throughout most of the process from scheduling an estimate to confirming work; at times it seemed like they just have one person manning the phones and usually communication was via voicemails back and forth. Email communication seemed to work better, but when work was being scheduled they would only provide me the week that work was going to be performed; no day or time was mentioned. I understand that this business is very dependent on the weather, but at least being given a tentative day and time frame would go a long way towards customer satisfaction. - Work was not finished correctly the first time so they had to come out a second time. There was a breakdown in communication between the workers and the person who wrote the estimate as the first time someone came out, they only cleared about half the area I was expecting to have cleared. I will say though that ATD made it right by having someone come back out to clear the remaining area at no extra charge. Overall: Although my experience with ATD at times was frustrating because of communication issues and them having to come out twice, I would still recommend them. The price is unbeatable, the work was excellent when finished, and the owner was very willing to work with me when she realized I was not happy.

I purchased this provider's deal and they delivered exactly as promised. They were able to do the work in the time frame I requested.
