Zigi Home Remodeling

Description of Work: Looking back, I'm suprised I took this chance, but it exceeded all our expectations. I will try to sum our story up as breifly as I can, but please be patient with me. The housing market was terrible, potential buyers just weren't interested in the house. Our agent suggested fixing up the kitchen and bathrooms, and to concentrate on those areas. From the walk-thru feedback it seemed folks enjoyed the home (3bedroom and our 2 full and 2 1/2 bath) but the kitchen was out dated and the bathrooms still had some work to do. We understood the issues, but we couldn't afford all the work. <laughing> " Are you kidding me, those are the two most expensive rooms to fix!." I had personally lost faith in our agent, and was about to either short sale the house or continue to pay the mortgage with hope of a miracle. We lived in a good community, so we had a good rapport with the neighbors. My neighbor Shiela suggested I take a deep breath, pray, and look up some local talent. I did, and we were quoted just as we imagined. Service Magic provided some contractors, but the quotes way exceeded the budget. It was time to give up! I came across Zigi by chance, he was helping a friends Mother down the road with a refrigerator leak. His van was parked outside and I interjected on their conversation. Apparently he was a friend of a friend who recently moved from New York with his daughter. He worked fixing up apartments and homes in the the New York New Jersey area. I didn't want to get too personal(though I was curious) but I asked him if he could take a look at my home. I had informed him of my previous attempts to find a contractor via my various methods, and the other half was getting impatient. When he stepped inside the house I will not forget his laugh as he looked at the kitchen. I felt offended until he spoke and said " they charge you too much." I didn't know of his work other than a refrigerator and this was a $4500 project, I was taking a BIG CHANCE. I was skeptical, but felt my prayers were answered somehow. He went over my options and took care of the kitchen and two bathrooms, while painting the 2 1/2 baths. It was minor adjustments that had paid off! My realtor asked were I found this hidden money, and suggested it was borrowed from my family. ( We changed Realtors after that) The house was amazing and our new house we were able to purchase met our needs. From the extra money of the sale. We called Zigi to touch up the basement in the new home, just painting and window installation. We love this guy
