After a phone call with Tony Morgan, the co-owner of Piney Orchard Roofing, we met with my wife to carefully go over the cost estimate he provided us to remove our old shingles, inspect and replace any bad pieces of plywood, and install new Atlas Roofing shingles and products. Tony and his partner were disappointed by the algae growth that looks like black streaks on many roofs he and others had installed during the first few years of their roofing business. After a lot of work research, they concluded that the Atlas Signature Select Roofing System with Scotchgard Protector could be installed for a reasonable price with 130 mph wind resistance, and excellent algae protection. Both Tony and Lyle are certified roofing professionals by Atlas and 3M (Scotchgard) which enables them obtain the Atlas Signature Select Limited Warranty that covers new roofs using these products for their customers. To further insure that the new shingles will not blow off roofs installed by their company, their installation teams use six nails per roof single instead of the four nails required by Atlas Roofing in their literature. Tony informed me that no singles have blown off any of the new roofs their teams have installed using the Atlas Signature Select Roofing System in the past four years. By looking at pictures of our roof taken by the installation team, it was easy to observe that Piney Orchard Roofing did an excellent job of removing our old roof, replacing pieces of plywood that had some issues. Tony’s partner Lyle did an excellent job of insuring that the installation team meet or exceeded all the specification required by Atlas Roofing to get the maximum new Roof Warranty offered by their company. Since I was the person that installed: the last roof on my house; new siding; new windows and other upgrades to our house, I feel qualified to recommend Piney Orchard Roofing to customers who want great work and quality products for a reasonable cost.

Would highly recommend this company. Had gotten an estimate from another company in the local area, but was not asked what kind of shingles I would like, or what color, or anything at all. When I contacted Piney Orchard Roofing, spoke to Lyle Dotson, who did ask about type and color of shingles and if the HOA had any rules regarding a new roof. He was very personable, so was leaning towards selecting his company. When I received the estimate, which was about $100 more than the other company, I called back with some questions. He answered every one and I decided to give his company the job. He left a sample shingle at my house so I could see what color--trusted him to pick a color as close to original shingles as possible. Job was scheduled for November 11. Crew arrived fifteen minutes early and immediately got to work. Lyle arrived soon after to check on them. I left for the day and returned late afternoon. Work had been completed and everything cleaned up nicely. Lyle came back the following Monday to check on the front gutter and look over the crew's work. I had a front shutter that had come down and asked if he knew any handymen--he offered to put it back up for me. Didn't have the right equipment that day, but a few weeks later, came home and found the shutter reattached! Excellent experience with Piney Orchard Roofing and would definitely recommend them to my neighbors.

Outstanding service! These guys are a rare breed of contractor in the home improvement industry. Very honest, great product, and hands down the best customer service I have ever dealt with. They also have the best warranty around; I know because I did my homework. I'm very impressed and so happy I found them. Thanks again guys!!!

I have a 22 year old townhouse rental property in Odenton that needed a new roof. I have worked with Tony on past projects so I wanted to give him a shot on my roof. As usual, Tony and his guys did a great job! I got a few quotes and his was right in line with the others. I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking for a new roof!
