I told Mr. Greer I wanted just a ballpark estimate. I described the simple and quot;specand quot; house I had in mind: the exact dimensions of my lot, and its location and the applicable environmental zones and codes (I know them well.) Mr. Greer refused to discuss it; he asked for a lot survey which he needed to submit to the county before he would even talk to me. Mr. Greer didn't t even ask my name, or chat enough to get a sense of my serious intent to build and/or ability to pay, as the others had. I replied that I had given him all the information he needed to provide a ballpark estimate (or at least discuss the range, or say something polite and innocuous, as businessmen do sometimes to avoid discussing price early on.) . Instead, he asked me to PLEASE LEAVE THE OFFICE, implying I was now trespassing! Hands up don't shoot! As I was doing due diligence before spending $200+K on a house, I expected at least the level of customer service I would get on a used car lot. But I know from long experience that assertive senior women unaccompanied by a man don't always get that in some places.. I'm glad that the other two local builders I already visited -- Land G Builders in Berlin and Baracah in Salisbury -- have great reputations, manifest great courtesy and stand ready to compete for my business, and for yours. Sometimes getting those three estimates isn't just about price, its about discerning who you do or definitely do not want as a business partner for the long buiilding haul.

It was a true pleasure working with Resort Housing Group(Rand H. I don't have enough accolades to give them. The people and workmenship was top notch. Not a single complaint only compliments. To this day I am thrilled with my home. I recommended Rand H to about 6 people, all of them used Rand H and have been thrilled. Wish they built in other areas of MD. I've seen problems that other friends have had with builders and am thankful that I used Rand H.
