When I suggested by email that they didn't seem to want my business because the email was so vague they spoke to me like a child and said that I was ridiculous wanting an estimate prior to the leaves falling(!) I felt like they were yelling at me like you would a toddler. They have since called me many names by email. They actually called me a "dumb ****". The worst customer service I have ever experienced!

They did an excellent job and cleaned up the area afterwards.

Our yard was beautiful, in fact the best it has looked in years, due to all the rain. Our mower broke last week, and we were interviewing this company about other potential work, taking out some shrubs and planting trees. In the meantime, we asked if they could mow the grass. When I arrived home and saw the hack job they had done on our yard, I was sick to my stomach. I was told they always mowed at 3 1/2 inches. Our grass was hacked and gouged in places down to the dirt, tracks left everywhere by the mower. I am beyond upset by this and just hope that what is now looking like scorched earth will return eventually to the beautiful yard we had worked so **** **. I sent two emails to the provider about this and never heard back. I doubt that I will. In addition, the estimator who came out was very condescending, did not want to be pinned down to any specific price and had a very unpleasant attitude. We have gotten several estimates on our work, and no one else was this unprofessional with us. He was very vague about time and labor. Also, we had to put aside a two hour window of time to wait for him to come. Many regrets over using this company. Obviously, this will not be the company we pick to do the more expensive work.

I called, the man let me go on with job details, and then said - "We are not accepting any new clients at this time."

They did a phenomenal job. They arrived on time with a crew of 3 people. I had no problems at all.

Scheduling was challenging because of the weather. But when the weather cooperated, they came out, took down the tree, and cleaned up after themselves. The tree was removed because of Bagworm damage. They going to be doing the fertilization and treatment for next season for the remaining trees and bushes to make sure that doesn't happen again. They are also going to maintain my front lawn as well. I rated them a B because it's an ongoing relationship, but I may change the rating over time. They were certainly good and I will continue to use them.

Great! Always show up and do a good job unless it rains and then they come within a day or 2 after the weather clears. Reliable.

Have used G & G for 2 years for random lawn mows, leaf removal and snow removal. It was always somewhat difficult to get them to commit to a timetable for these services as it always seemed like they were too busy and we were intruding on their schedule. At times the correspondence was unprofessional to say the last. The most recent (and last) request was to have our lawn mowed for a party the following week. I texted my request (as I've always done and was led to believe was an appropriate method) and got no response. I waited a few days before contacting again and left a message on the office voicemail. My party date came and went and I heard nothing from G & G. I will not use this service for anything again and will take all of my business elsewhere.

The lawn looked great. Very professional.

Promptly responded to my call, told me up front they had prior commitments and could not get to my job until May. I said that was okay and appreciated the heads up. Came out within the week and emailed a fair and reasonable estimate. Very professional. Decided not to wait until May and had a neighbor edge and I will spread the mulch.

Overall poor attitude, like they were doing us a favor. Poor communication of expectations and timeframes from the start, and tried to blame us for that. Quality of work was poor. Did not clear all porch,patio, carport and sidewalk surfaces. Only shoveled small paths. Took an inordinate amount of time post storm to come clear it. Terrible experience. Will never recommend them.

They were good. It was done in a timely manner. They did my daughter's lawn also and it was $650 for the both of them. I would call them again. They were fine. They did a really good job. They were on time.

Hired Grounds and Gardens to maintain a property while it was up for sale. I didn't want weekly service as no one was living at the property and Grounds and Gardens was amenable to stretch it a few days more between services. Very reasonably priced. Did a great job maintaining the lawn (mowing and trimming) throughout the season. I would hire them again if I ever need a lawn care company.

I was looking for a yard service to do work at my mother's house. From first contact on, everything was perfect. Jim met me at Mom's exactly when he said he would, and we went over what needed to be done. He explained his pricing and how things would go, including what variables in price could arise. That was on a Saturday morning - the crew showed up and did a full (and overdue) clean up of all the leaves on the property. They removed leaves from the gardens, junk that was lodged in the hedges, etc. Two weeks later the lawn and gardens still looked perfect. The price was right on what the estimate had been. We have asked Jim and his crew to provide regular service at my mom's - snow removal, lawn service, mulching and garden clean up, etc. He was very cooperative with setting it up so that they will do the work as needed and send the bills to my address so my mom doesn't need to be worried about doing the work or how it will be paid. I'm looking forward to a good working relationship with this company over the coming months.

Over the years, my soil and grass had eroded. I had a large amount of water pooling at the end of my yard when it rained. Jim Link from Grounds and Gardens came for an estimate and told me what needed to be done. They did a wonderful job. They arrived on time with a large crew and completed the work in excellent time. No more pools of water at the end of my yard. My yard had not looked so good in many years.

The work was great; they are wonderful. They always work for us and are on contract. Their price depends on what they are doing at the particular time. They do good work, seem consistent and I don't have any problems. They are solid.

I don’t love them but I hired them again for this year. I don’t require them more than they are willing to do, so maybe that is not quite fair. I think they were okay.

I've used them for the last 3-4 years. They make property improvements. They are responsible and very knowledgable about the plants. I use them year round. They are alawys on time and only do work when it is needed to be done.

We were pleased with them. They just came out automatically. They were really good because we have two dogs and they put them up on the porch and they made sure the gates were all secured and everything when they live.

They are very very nice and good.I like the fact that they are very communicative. If they don't think that the lawn needs to be mowed they will call me and tell me that and let me decide. They don't just come and mow the lawn in the middle of the summer if it doesn't need it. They are always in communication with me. If it rains then they let me know that they're going to be a day late. They always catch up with me and their price point is very good.

The crew comes to cut the grass regularly during the season. I have used their services for 2 seasons so far and I am overall pleased . They do respond quickly to any corrections. I receive a bill at the end if each month and phone call follow up to inquire if their service is still needed for next season.

three men showed up and did an excellent job of removing fallen debris from the yard they required no input from me.

Jim from Grounds and Gardens reached out to me by phone within 24 hours of my request. He advised that they would visit my property to see what was necessary and contact me with an estimate. Note that Jim's call came in around 11 a.m. on a Friday. I received a call later in the day (around 3 p.m.) with an estimate (better than my previous provider) and we agreed that Grounds and Gardens would provide services. Imagine my pleasure and surprise when I arrived home that evening to a freshly cut and edged lawn!! Jim also called us that evening to find out if we were satisfied with the yard. He asked about other services we're interested in, offered suggestions of things we could do ourselves; as well as his availability to perform them. I'm pleased with the service I've received thusfar and would recommend Grounds and Gardens to anyone loking for yard maintenance services!
