Fixed computer issues such as virus and freezing screen.

I had been having trouble with my computer freezing and randomly shutting down on me. This eventually led to my being unable to power up the machine. I contacted Computer Handyman of Maryland for assistance. I was incredibly disappointed with their level of responsiveness since I had to leave at least three messages over a period of several days before they called me back. I was eventually able to speak with Eric and schedule an appointment for service. They sent John to my house to service my computer. My problem was initially diagnosed as a dying hard drive that would need to be replaced. John took my computer with him for the weekend to do the work. He also took a bag containing my install discs and manuals from the manufacturer so that everything could be reinstalled the way it was. He returned my computer a few days later and said that I didn't need a new hard drive after all, just a reinstall of Windows 7. This did fix the issues I was having with my computer, so I was happy with the quality of service at this point. However, he failed to return my install discs and manuals and it took me well over a month of calls and messages to get them back. I also found that dozens of my very important personal files (video and photos) were gone from my computer. Once again, getting any type of response from them has proven very difficult and at this point I'm resigned to the fact that my irreplacable files are gone forever. I can not imagine any circumstances with which I would consider doing business with Computer Handyman of Maryland again.

Spent a lot of time that was not charged for; have spoken by phone to tech several times afterward and will call soon for followup. Knowledgeable and pleasant...did not speak technical gobbley g***

Contacted several times via email to move my Internet and Computers to my new home. Called on telephone and tried leaving message when I was disconnected automatically. Did not respond back until I sent a message to Angies List about not returning phone calls. I would never use him in the future.

Found that the video portion of the motherboard was not working. Gave me other suggestions as to how I can either get it to work or to replace the computer completely.

After being driven to distraction by problems with my laptop and itunes music library I took a chance and called Computer Handyman of Maryland. I had previously tried to resolve the problem using a non-Angie's List vendor and was less than satisfied. All I can say is that Computer Handyman was a god-send and I am now able to enjoy my extensive music library and now know how to better protect it to prevent future problems. I called Computer Handyman and left a message. They returned my call on the same day and gave me explicit information on how they charge for their services. I scheduled an appointment and the technician arrived on the agreed date and time. Very punctual. After describing my problem to the technician he looked at my laptop and external disk drive and was able to diagnose the problem and a solution in timely fashion. The time and money spent was well spent and I will use Computer Handyman for all of my future computer and software repair needs.

We saw their ad on, of all places, a placemat at a local diner. We called and got an estimate for what we wanted done. An appointment was made and he was prompt in showing up. Eric spent four hours going over the laptops an desktop we wanted checked. He was amiable, professional, knowledgable and efficient. All of the computers were running better when he left and following his recommendation of moving a lot of data to a shared drive, it was even better. A few months later, we had an issue of one laptop not responding and he came the next day and fixed it. Apparently, we got invaded by a new virus and he had the proper tools ready to take care of it. I have recommended Eric to family and friends and even a few businesses looking to outsource their IT.

I originally called on a Sunday evening to request information with the intent of leaving a message and hoping to hear something during the week. However, Eric called back that night and eased my fears about an imminent crisis. This was in January. The blue screen problem occured again a month later. I called again, received an immediate response and scheduled an appoint for the following Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The technician called Saturday morning of the appt. to see if it was alright to come earlier. John arrived and went right to work. He was friendly, but no nonsense, and made us feel confident in his knowledge. After spending just over an hour, he gave us his direct contact info. and left us feeling good about our experince. The next day, though, we experienced another blue screen. I called in a panick but was comforted by his immediate response. He returned quickly and was able to solve the problem. We were not charged any more because of their guarantee. We have been running without problems since then.

All phone calls were returned promptly. Tech was pleasant and informative. Price was very fair. Service was "perfect". PERFECT. If you appreciate service and quality I can't recommend this company enough.

My telephone call was answered the same day. Adam arrived on time, and worked on my list of things to accomplish. I have used this company several times in the past, and am very appreciative that they answer all my questions in terms I can understand, and are always professional and courteous. I recommend them without hesitation.

The technician took thew computer with him. He returned it in about a week. He left me with a disk to load on the computer. This disk contained an illegal copy of Windows XP. I could not get it to read from the CD Drive. I called to have them return and fixz the problem. I was basically ignored for four days. I had called mulrtimple times to the number left me by the technician. I finally got the owner who said the tech would call. It took him two days to get back to me. Another day to come and install the disk. That was in May 2009. It is now August 15, 2009, and the "new" hard drive failed to operate. I took the computer to another shop to have the hard drive installed, again.

I have 2 computers one was slow and one was totally not working. He ran programs and installed spyware antivirus for free. He was on time and explained every thing. He didn't talk down to me when I kept on asked him questions instead he answered all of them.
