I think all the men that work for him seemed to know exactly what they were doing, and doing it well. They don't waste any time. I thought they were very good. They are more expensive than other people. I think the quality is better. They have good equipment.

We contacted Kyle in late December to have some trees removed. As we live in an HOA run community we needed approval so we received three quotes from licensed arborists who agreed what work needed to be done. Custom Touch beat the prices of two other well regarded tree firms by 50%. Then our HOA rejected our application. Kyle walked our yard with the tree committee and spent a great deal of time explaining the work to them and approval was grated in March. Kyle honored his original quote almost three months after giving it. The crews did good work and cleaned up nicely when they were done.

Pre-Work: This is the third time that we have hired Custom Touch for tree work, but the first time at this property. Once again, excellent work at the best price. Kyle always matches or beats the lowest bid that we receive. So, it is worth taking the time to gather bids from others before talking to Kyle. While Kyle is always accommodating, he is not the easiest to contact. But, we don't mind tracking him down and waiting for a work date, particularly given the savings and the quality of the work. Work: This time, Custom Touch consisted of a crew of five (two in the trees and three on the ground), plus a crane operator. Arriving promptly at 7:00am (as scheduled), the crew had the first tree down within one hour of carefully setting up the 90-ton crane in our driveway. We reminded the crew about our sprinkler system, and the crew was mindful of each of the sprinkler heads (which were marked) throughout the property. The two climbers were really amazing, and the crane operator and the ground crew followed the pace that was set. The crew worked very efficiently as a team, completing the job by 2:00pm. Our property is located in a cul-de-sac, which allowed the team to make full use of the street. Not one of the tree limbs or trunks plucked with the crane touched our lawn. In the street were one chipper, two trucks for removing the chips and trunks (while one truck was collecting the chips, the other truck was dumping the chips offsite), and a compact track loader for handling the limbs and trunks. We had informed our neighbors of the tree work to keep traffic in the circle to a minimum, but there was still a number of recycling, delivery, and landscaping trucks, all of which were permitted to pass promptly because the ground crew quickly provided passageway. We offered water, coffee, and lunch to the crew, but they declined, thanking us for the offer. After all of the trees were removed (from the side yards and back yard), we reminded the crew captain about the pruning of two trees (in the front yard). He stated that he wasn't aware of any pruning to be done, but proceeded with pruning -- without fuss and with care. Like their captain, the other crew members acted professionally and courteously while working efficiently. The final clean up was excellent - our roof, yard, driveway, and cul-de-sac were cleared of leaves and twigs. We were very pleased with the work that was performed and we tipped each crew member individually. Post-Work: Overall, we highly recommend Custom Touch for tree work. It requires persistence and patience to get a hold of Kyle and to secure a start date, but we have found (for the third time) that the effort and the wait is well worth it.

My Landscape Designer referred me to this company for the removal of two very large red maples in my backyard. I received two other quotes from highly rated competitors and initially Custom Touch had the highest estimate. To their credit, the project manager called within 24 hours of submitting their bid and offered to match the lowest estimate from one of the competitors. While I think the price I paid was fair for the job (2 very mature trees on a sloped lot with limited access) I gave them a and quot;Band quot; for price for not presenting their best possible price from the start. Everything else was outstanding. The crew of approx. 6 men arrived early (around 8am) and while I did not stick around all day I was advised by a neighbor that they were at the property until 3pm. I did supervise the work for the first 2 hours and took note of the great care the team took to properly control the removal of branches and tree core to ensure no damage would occur to the house and their would be minimal disruption to the surrounding landscape. They actually left the property cleaner than how they found it! I worked with Kyle on this job and will be sure to call him again when I need tree service in the future.

The crew had 4 or 5 people, several pieces of equipment and did an outstanding job cleaning up all the debris.

Very pleased! The crew for Custom Touch got there on time at 7am as scheduled. Kyle Adamson had been by for the estimate previously, but we did a walk through that morning to confirm the work. His crew worked steadily until after 1pm - I left at that point as they were tidying up. I was very impressed with their courtesy and efficiency. A small section of metal fence in back was bent due to a log that bounced - Kyle had a fence company out to do the repair within a few days. Extremely impressive when a service stands behind their work. I felt the price was very fair for the amount of work done - it was substantially less than the estimate from my lawn service. Communication through email and phone is excellent, and all communications were very pleasant and professional. Somewhat restores my faith in having work done in this area (I'm originally from Maine). I highly recommend Custom Touch Tree Services and Kyle!

Kyle Adamson came out to give me his estimate. Altogether I got 5 estimates, and Kyle's was by far the lowest. I don't typically go with the lowest bid, but Kyle addressed my concerns to my satisfaction, better than most of the other guys. The crew came out and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

Kyle did a FABULOUS job ! Not only with the tree trimming, but even more importantly with handling a neighbor who didn't want us to trim the branches of their tree that was hanging over our driveway and dropping hazardous black walnuts all over the place. Somehow Kyle, on his own initiative went to the neighbor's house and was able to persuade them to let him cut off the offending branches without making a further issue out of it. He was great!!

We got a reasonable estimate and a written contract via Internet. The owner Mr. Kyle Adamson answered every question we had. The work started on the day it was promised and finished the next day. (even the early morning thunderstorm did not deter the crew)

I had used the company previously. When the branch came down I contacted them via e-mail and they immediately took care of it. Very professional.

First of all, the estimate was fair and the rep was clearly knowledgeable. When we called to award the job, the crew supervisor came to the house to review the site prior to beginning work. The day of the job, the crew showed up on time, did a great job and made sure the area was cleaned up afterward.

Overall the company did a great job. The work was thorough and the clean up was too. Kyle Adamson is very responsive and answers questions quickly.

The company was highly recommended on Angie's List, and came to provide an estimate quickly and on schedule. The estimate was competitive. I asked about an Angie's List discount, which was indicated on the site, but he knew nothing about it. In the end, he provided a small discount. We reviewed the work to be done, which was begun while I was present, but completed after I left for work. The trimming was as we had discussed for five of the trees, but not for a large maple in the front yard. I specifically asked that only the lowest branches be removed--which we had identified together--but when I returned from work I was dismayed to see that the crew had removed several more branches than I had wanted removed, changing the whole nature of the front yard (more sun, less shade). I called to let him know that, and he said he would come by to see what the crew had done and get back to me. I hadn't asked him to do that, but was pleased that he offered that. To my knowledge, he never followed up with a visit, nor did he ever call me back. The only reason I say I would use him again is the number of positive reviews and the fact that the other trees looked fine. I would recommend being present for the work to be sure that it is done to your specifications.

Excellent. Couldn't have gone better. Very good crew. Arrived early, finished early. Good work good and clean up. They had to bring in a large crane to hoist pieces of the tree from the back yard. The crew really knew what they were doing. Amazing job. I basically had estimates and job descriptions from everyone licensed in MD. These were the only people that quoted me exactly the work I wanted done, didn't up-sell, didn't price gouge, or attempt to finagle the quotes. I wish I had called them first! Kyle Adamson was professional and honest. I didn't get that feeling with most of the other tree services. Some of the others had trouble getting back to you or showing up for the estimates. I did not have that problem with these guys.

I received a total of three estimates to remove three trees that were on the property line between my house and my neighbor's house. The massive root systems of these trees was causing water and drainage problems in both my house and my neighbor's house. Custom Touch's cost estimate was not the lowest that I received, but I thought that Kyle was the most professional and trustworthy of the three tree service company representatives that I met with and so I chose Custom Touch to perform the work. The job was scheduled for a Friday morning, three weeks after I verbally committed to Custom Touch (they had a backlog of jobs to perform due to widespread tree damage in the area from recent thunderstorms). The crew arrived on time at 7:00am and working diligently completed the job by 1:00 pm. They had to remove a section of my backyard fence to bring in an extremely heavy root grinding machine and they neatly returned the fence to its original state. They also cleaned up both my yard and my neighbor's yard after they removed the trees. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the work that was performed and feel that I received good value for the cost of the service. I would definitely use Custom Touch for any future tree service work that I need.

They were able to complete the job in about 90 minutes. There were eight guys working on the job. They left it cleaner than they found it. It was amazing!

I contacted Angie's list on Monday (6/2/08) to find a tree service contractor in my neighborhood and selected Custom Touch Tree Service. They came out to my house early Tuesday morning (6/3), gave me an estimate, and told me they could do the work that day. When I arrived home from work that evening, the 2 trees had been cut down and all debris removed. The owner called me that evening and asked me to leave a check for him the next day (6/4), which I did, and received the receipt via e-mail the following day, today (6/5). Excellent service!!

We arranged to have Kyle meet with my wife and discuss the various trees on our property. We agreed to have several removed. While we werent in any particular hurry, Kyles crew were in the area the following day and came by and took the trees out! The only remnants are the stumps, at ground level, and a little sawdust.

Upon verifying the correct date, July 10th, the crew arrived around 7:00 am. The went right to work, and completed the job within a two hour time frame.

Kyle responded immediately to my call, came over, and sent me an estimate. About a week and a half later they arrived on the job and took only about 4 to 5 hrs to complete it. I watched them prune and when I had a question or wanted them to do something specific, they always were glad to do whatever I requested. They hauled all the debris away, of course, and cleaned up the yard afterward with a blower. The trees looked magnificent. Being an artist, I am always harder to please, when it comes to design, but I was happy with the way the trees looked natural, and not as if they had just been pruned. The cost of the job was more than reasonable and all the men were a pleasure to work with.

We got an estimate quickly and decided to proceed. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it would take 45 days to get a permit. The inspector wanted to wait until he could confirm that the tree would not sprout leaves. Why anyone would think we would pay $3,000 to take down a live elm is beyond me, but I digress. We informed Kyle that we would have to wait for the permit. When we finally did receive it, we informed Kyle, who let us know he would schedule us in about a week. True to his word, about a week later he let us know that he would be out the next morning. He arrived with his crew about 7:30 AM, as promised. The work went smoothly. We were very satisfied with the job.

The job went well and was reasonably priced. There was a bit of a delay in getting back to me with an estimate because Mr. Adamson had lost my phone number, but once I approved the estimate and sent my information to him again (by email), he arranged for the job to be done promptly. The work took place during the day while I was out. When the job was complete, the wood shavings were arranged neatly around the location of the stump. I was pleased with the service and would use Custom Touch again.

They did an excellent job and I was very happy with them.

Very responsive, professional team. Kyle came out did the estimate, which was very competitive relative 2 - 3 others. We revised a few times and then signed a contract. Team arrived about 30 days later, showing up precisely on the day/time we'd agreed. Highly professional crew was able to complete the job in less than one day and without problems with the power/phone lines, etc. It was an impressive job. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing to have trees removed promptly, efficiently, and without incident.

Did take a little time to get them going. They did come over promptly to give an estimate, and then we had some back and forth over changes to the job. It took about 4 weeks from estimate to job completion, but that was satisfactory with us. We were impressed with the safety measures used by the crew (to protect themselves as well as our house) and the thoroughness in clean-up.
