1. They were VERY late. The foreman called and explained that he had a problem with his truck. Very understandable. He expected to be an hour late. He was more than 3 hours late, because instead of coming to me he went directly to an appointment with another client. 2. The foreman had come by the house prior to the appointment day to see the job and I showed him the master bath shower. He assured me that they would be able to take care of it with no problem. 3. As soon as they walked in he sent his helper to the bathroom to begin the shower door process. However, he sent him to the WRONG bathroom. I checked out the noise coming from the hall bath and found that the helper had removed the perfectly good bathtub enclosure. I stopped him and showed them the CORRECT bathroom. The helper proceeded to reinstall the tub enclosure upside down. When I pointed this out, he uninstalled it and reinstalled it. This time the door was not completely on its track. He uninstalled it and reinstalled it. This time the frame was upside down, with all of the gunk from the bottom track and all of the adhesive he had used in the previous installation showing. I just let it go because by that time I just wanted him out of that bathroom. 4. The shower door enclosure was removed, as originally planned. However, instead of repairing the fiberglass as I understood they would, he just put some acrylic caulk in the holes. If I had known what I'd go through on the whole shower thing I would have employed a company that just repairs fiberglass tubs. You can buy a fiberglass repair kit at the Home Depot. 5. The door was installed beautifully. They did a really good job. However, the door knob and dead bolt installed on that door and another door were installed upside down. I can live with it, but it's not what I expected. 6. I paid for Handyman services for 6-1/2 hours -- that means 3-1/4 hours each for two men. I expected that I'd have to pay maybe 1/2 hour - 1 hour more for each man. Instead, because of the repeated mistakes with the bath enclosure door, they stayed 3 hours more -- which is 6 hours that they charged me for. I was very upset so they took off the fee for the disposal of the old door. I still think I was ripped off but I was so tired and stressed that I just wanted them gone. A simple coujple of jobs that should have taken the morning of the day I took off to accomodate them took until after 6:00 and I just wanted it over. I'll NEVER do this again.
Description of Work: 1. Install new pre-hung front door and door hardware. 2. Remove broken shower door enclosure from master bath. Repair fiberglass where enclosure was screwed in.

Sorry for the confusion on the bathroom door. Marcelo said that the both doors where the same in the bathrooms and he got confused what bathroom it was. He said he didnt charge for the mistake time. The installation of the front door and hardware is a $550-$750 project done with a bathroom door $175-$250 project for only $500 . The truck breaking down well threw of the entire schedule for the day and started the stress regarding your job. Marcelo is absolutly one of my best guys and has so many A reports im not going to hammer him to hard on this one considering he had Luis take of the wrong door . Then he gave $150 off of the project to appoligize for the mistake on the door. Overall it would have cost by contract $1150 but you paid under $600. They where late and made a mistake taking a door off and reinstalling it. Marcelo was with me when he called you to let you know he was way behind on his shcedule for the day. He did communicate and also has since purchased a new more dependable truck. This is an example of a client who wants a new front door and hardware installed and a bathroom door installed for $319 and is upset to pay $500 for a $1000 job. Id be upset to if I expected to pay $319 to have my front door and bathroom door installed. Fortunatly only 5% of our clients experiance this considering the D and F reports we receive. 86% of our clients would have given an A or B report for this job considering the communication and the concession given for the mistake on the door location. Thank you for your feedback. I hope your cleints done hold you to the standard you hold your workers to. Blessings Matthew
I had a fabulous experience with this company and will definitely use them again. It was VERY easy to schedule the work -- I was able to use email rather than play phone tag. The owner was very responsive, professional and cooperative. Once my job was assigned to a carpenter, it took less than two weeks to schedule and complete the work. It was less than 4 weeks from coupon purchase to completed project (it would have been shorter but I took a few days to return the paper work they asked me to complete -- very simply, just describe the work so they know who to send). The carpenter arrived on time and worked continuously. He had to troubleshoot a few unexpected things (we have an older home) but still got the work done on time. He put down tarps to protect our floors/carpet and then did a good job cleaning up. I was very happy with the results. I highly recommend!

I was very underwhelmed. At first I was not happy that I only had a three month window to use this coupon. I scheduled an appointment but the company later contacted me and said they had to come at a different day/time. This new day was much less convenient for me. The gentlemen were very nice, but they did not do anything special. They hung a couple shelves, put two screws in a bookshelf, and told me they were unable to fix my dresser (which my husband, who is a finished carpenter actually did fix very well at a later date). So generally, I was underwhelmed by their initiaitive -- they did not offer any ideas or thoughts. I would not contact this company again. $100 is pretty steep for amount of work they actually did -- I could have done it myself.
Description of Work: I purchased the 2 hours for 100.00 handyman service from this company from Angies List. Two men came and put up a couple shelves and told me they could not fix a dresser I needed fixed.

Thank you for saying the guys where very nice ! Sorry they didn't feel comfortable repairing the furniture. We Will never again offer a 2 hour coupons for $99. We as a buisness will continue to charge our $150 -$225 Minimum job charge. We figure it takes 3 hours minimum to go to and perform and get to the next job even if its 5 Minutes of work. We where very lucky to sell and service over 120 2 hour coupons and created almost 80 new great client Relationships that we will continue to serve! We have found our favorite clients who appretiate our service and quality of people tend not to be the two hour coupon purchasers. We found alot of purchasers had wanted something for nothing and figured $99 to be a large amount of money. We find those who have created abundance are those who live in appretiation and generate more postive feelings toward our associates. We have done very good to filter many potential clients as you can read most of our negative reports are those who we did not actually work for. We are always learning and are grateful for all feedback and will be reviewing this report with the associates who performed this job. We will as a company each individualy simulate taking responsibility for this report at our next meeting to see what we can learn from it and contribute to our growth. Trina again thank you for your time and recognition that the guys where nice and Im very sorry we where not able to fix the furniture that your finish carpenter husband did perform. We offer windows for expiration of the coupon as a season changes. As seasons change so does our work load and its a balancing act to keep food on the table for our families. If you read this and dont like the expiration clause please do not buy the coupon then complain that you bought it. Its confusing and out of my control to satisfy you. We have extended the expiration date because of effective communication to over 20 clients. They asked so we said okie dokie. I have learned to ask for what I want and often through the generosity and kindness of others I was able to get it.I have to admit the ranking of C's isnt acceptable in my book and am commited to receiving only A reports. Each person is entitled to there perspective so if your reading this and beleive $99 is alot of money to pay for 2 technitions to come to your home for an hour then we are not the best company to serve you. if you think its a great deal then please call us so we can serve you to our best of our ability. From start to finish, my experience with Matthew Willis and his team was excellent. They were upfront about their estimates and great to work with in terms of communication and updates. William and Tiago were the leads on the job. They were wonderful, flexible and gave us different ideas. We were told the work would take 6 to 8 weeks for the job to be completed and they were done on time. All our materials were purchased from Home Depot and Lowes and they really were detailed about keeping receipts. Overall, we would definetly hire these guys again. Great Work!
Description of Work: We purchased a new home in May and discovered termite damage in our basement. We got referred to Willis Builders by the Termite Inspector. Initially we were only planning to remodel the basement and did not foresee the expenditures for the termite damage. We hired Willis Builders to remodel our unfinished basement, install a new hot water heater, convert a half-bath to a full bath (in the basement), installed surround sound, and repaired termite damage to some of the floor joists in our utility area.

The service couldn't have gone any better! I purchased an Angie's List Deal for $319 for 6 1/2 hours of handyman service. I needed to have 12 ceramic tiles replaced after the installation of a new sump pump. The ceramic tiles had been jack-hammered out and the floor dug up for the sump pump installation. I provided the matching ceramic tiles, quick-set mortar, sand-colored grout and spacers. Per my request they scheduled my appointment within days. The gentleman showed up on time and began the work immediately. He did a fabulous job of cutting the tiles. Four of the tiles had to be cut in a circular shape and the rest of the tiles also had to be cut to fit into the area. The grout was installed smooth, even and looked great. Everything was perfectly cleaned up and I was told that things could be returned to their place in 24 hours. This job was performed in approximately 4 hours so I looked for a couple more small things to do with my handyman service deal. I would highly recommend this company for ceramic tile repair and/or installation.

I bought the $319 "Handyman for the day" coupon from Willis Builders. The coupon covers 6.5 hours of handyman service, then an hourly rate of $49 per additional hour. Willis Builders asks that you send a list of services to be performed in advance of the service date to ensure that their handyman brings the proper tools. This can be something of a hassle, since you have to really thinkin through what you want done, but it works out well since the handyman comes with all the necessary tools. I had the handyman perform the following set of tasks: - Hang wall art - Install coat racks - Replace electrical outlets - Hang basement wood paneling and install corner cabinet (these had been removed for a previous waterproofing job) - Hang blinds (3) - Rehang door - Plane two doors - Hang cork board - Mount doorbell chime - Hang wall-mounted dish rack - Mount house numbers to brick exterior - Remove window box (there was a rotting window box attached to the home outside my kitchen window). The handyman assigned to my project was Vinny. He did a good job and was very thorough. I have no complaints about the quality of his work. It ended up taking him 8.5 hours, so I had to pay an additional $98 for the service, totaling $417. At the end of the day, it was worth it to have all of these outstanding projects taken care of and off my to do list.

After purchasing the Big Deal for handyman services, it took nearly two months for this company to schedule me. When they finally did, the handyman that was supposed to show up on the scheduled date at 10 AM calls me at 11 AM to tell me that he'd be there by 12. He showed up at 12:30. Nonetheless, I think he did an okay job, with one glaring exception. My wooden bed frame needed a relatively simple fix, which it appears he did (it took him less than 15 minutes), except when I sat on it in the evening, it immediately broke. The business owner told me I should have tested it before the handyman left. Then he told me I would have to pay for a minimum of two hours in order to get the handyman to come back just to look at the problem. Neither suggestion made sense to me. In the end, I paid someone else to fix it, and it hasn't broken since.

This was a 2 hour coupon and we wheer told we ahd to get it done in two hours. The correct bolts needed to properly repair the bed frame would have to be found and purchased therfore the additional charge request. Elijah did attempt to repair the bed frame with screws and materials he had in his truck. Unfortunatly the materials he had wasnt sufficiant to make the proper repair. he tried his best with what he had and stayed within the two hour time limit. Sorry you didnt want elijah to go and purchase the proper bolts and glue needed to make the proper repair. if you where willing to pay for the time needed to repair it properly we offered you the 15 minutes as a credit because it didnt work. thanks for your feedback matthew

From start to finish, the work was excellent. The workers were experienced, knowledgeable, and professional and they worked diligently to please us. There are no "don'ts" to this review. Do go with Willis Builders.
Description of Work: We had extensive termite damage on three floors at the back of our sixty year old stone home in Bethesda. Plaster walls had to be taken out to get to the damaged studs, beams, flooring, back door frame, and the living room’s large picture window. The kitchen and laundry room had to be gutted so that pipes could be moved in order to get to the damaged wood. The work took approximately ten weeks because this was an enormous undertaking and a difficult problem. Plastic zipper walls were set up on the three floors to control the dust and the workmen cleaned up everyday. We had an enormous amount of debris not to mention we had to live without a kitchen and laundry room for weeks as the back walls of the house were being rebuilt. Matthew Willis understood that we wanted our home to be restored (after the demolition and construction) to the way it looked or better, and he delivered. There is no trace of what was done and in fact, the kitchen and laundry room were definitely improved. Our home was enhanced by this project! The drywall installation, painting, ceramic tile backsplash, plumbing, floor sanding,… to name a few important jobs, are all excellent. Project manager Leo and Fabio were knowledgeable and professional, and they responded quickly and positively to suggested corrections. Communication was candid through frequent emails or phone conversations. I can’t comment on the cost because, due to the nature of termite damage, there was no way to shop around. (BTW, insurance doesn’t cover termite damage). The exploratory and demolition continued until there was no further evidence of termite damage. Willis Builders refunded money for unused materials. Most importantly, our home was restored to a better place for us by diligent, experienced, and knowledgeable workmen and without any conflicts or disagreements, and for that, regardless of the cost, we are most grateful.

The members are the ideal clients and we are so lucky they called us! I was very impressed at day one with the ability to be present when the house is torn apart and we have discovered major termite damage that will costs 10s of thousands of dollars to repair . The members where amazing in the way they handled the news . I must mention that the laundry room and the Kitchen both had to be down and unusable for a period of time and they didnt even stress! At least that i saw. I received emails on a regular basis thanking us for the profesional work ethic and care and pride in the work the men where performing. I Loved to open those emails knowing it was grace i was receiving. I wish all my clients where as kind, caring , and thankful as you guys!. Yes the guys get checks and get paid for what they do but THIS is why they do what they do . Its not the money they get paid that fullfills them . Its knowing they took a bad or horrible situation and made the best out of it in service of others. Then to top it off they get thanked for their service ! You have blessed us and we thank you for that. You ever need anything please consider me your freind and call me without hesitation. Thank You! Matthew Willis
Willis Builders cancelled my job before they started because I have learned to read the fine print and on their contract I had to give them open permission to use my credit card. They would charge a 25% mark up fee on materials or I could just buy all of the materials used and keep the leftovers. Time began when they left their office so 50% of my 40 hours would be used in travel time if they had 4 workers. They started off talking about time more than my 40 hours which would cost me $60 per hour, but in reality $120 per hour with travel time each day. I needed to see a specific outline of how they were going to do my job: time and materials and I needed a copy of their license and bonding. I also required that no undocumented workers be used. Looking at their reviews, Willis Builders is good for doing small jobs but not large ones like taking out and putting back in a ceiling. Be ware of their contract.
Description of Work: Willis Builders set out a big deal for $1899 for indoor or outdoor construction work plus 2 hours of planning. I needed for them to take down my existing ceilings throughout my condo because they were pulling loose from the beams sagging and cracking. The only way to correct this problem was to take down the old, see how they had been installed and what had made them all pull loose from the beams leaving huge nail pops with no nails to be see and cracking and sagging ceilings. Also, was there any insulation in the attic above my condo. Then install new ceilings, tap, float and paint the ceilings and walls. Haul off old materials. The first e-mail from Willis Builders sent me a contract to sign. It told me to give them a credit card that allowed them to charge all materials at a 25% write up above cost and overtime work charges at $60 per hour. The work time started when they left their shop, not when they arrived at my condo. If they had 4 men, then 50% of the $1899 would be eaten up in travel time. I was supposed to receive an additional 2 hours for planning the job but when I asked for someone from their office to meet with me and give me the information I needed to pass the job through the Homeowners Association and told them the requirements they would have to meet, they sent me a letter backing out of the contract. One requirement is that no undocumented workers could be used on my job. This is a problem that I find with most contractors. They go to locations where they can pick up day laborers who are not documented and that is who they use to do the job, whatever it is. It may be their first day to clean, paint, install carpet, or whatever your job is. They also use cheap foreign labor in home health facilities and in home health agencies.

Thank you for Writing your review of our company. I Canceled this job before starting it due to many factors based on my experiance. I chose to cancel your job. You purchased a coupon and wanted to use towards a deposit on a larger litigation job involving many complications. At no time did we discuss the contract. We did not cancel your job because of the fine print . Correction on the contract information . You seemed a bit overwhelmed by our simple contract. First there is 0% mark up on materials stated on my contract not 25%. Second we do not require a credit card information on the contract , we prefer if you wait untill the end of the job to give the handyman the credit card information and sign autorizing payment for materails and additional hours above the 40 youd purchased. Also I have the most honest hard working Americans and Immigrants working for me who are all background checked and Documented . I hire only people who I would trust with the keys to my home. I do agree with the member it is not a good practice to hire labor from the street and is very dangerous. Also we do not have or ask for or require" open permssion on a credit card. No idea where this came from. Another correction is that we do not start our clock from our office. I have no idea where this idea came from. Another correction we have done succesfully large jobs and are more then qualified to so. I Think I have addressed all the incorrect assumptions and acusations stated above. While the initial contact from Willis from very timely (the person came the next day to view the damage), subsequent follow-ups for information on getting the actual estimate, etc., were horrendous - I called repeatedly and was told that different reasons for the delay, but all in all in took almost a month to finally get a verbal estimate on the phone. I had already received an estimate from my insurance company on what it would take to make the repairs (as a baseline, granted), but the sales guy from Willis insisted that I basically needed to have my entire shower ripped out and new tiling installed. They quoted me over 3 x times what the insurance company quoted to have a ceiling repaired and painted. Since this horrible experience, I have had 2 other reputable contractors tell me that the way Willis handled me was unprofessional and considered "shady" and that they probably just didn't want to take my job as it wasn't big enough for them. I will never contact them again and told them this directly.
Description of Work: Contacted Willis Builders for an esimate on determining the source of a shower leak into my first floor ceiling.

My partener met with this individual who wanted to hire us for a water repair and had an insurance check to pay for it that was covering the water damage caused by the shower pan leaking from above. She wanted us to replace the shower pan and plumbing and tile for the costs to repair the drywall. Robert and I spoke regarding this client and her behavior. I being the owner of Willis Builders Inc have to choose and decide who we work for and who we refuse to work for. Based on the threats he was receiving from this potential client , I quickly told him to refuse her job and run for the hills! This was over 2 months ago and I can see she has held her threat for two months and here it is." If you dont do my work for the amount the insurance company gave me then I will write a bad reveiw on angies list" She being true to her word has made an attempt to Black mail and threaten us into working for her for to low of a payment. Please forgive us for not wanting to work for you for a few hundred dollars. I will still reccomend to repair the cause of the problem instead of the evidence. Im sorry you have held this in for Two Months now and pray you are releived by finnaly "getting us back". I hope you dont repair your drywall without repairing the cause of the problem properly. If this is shady then the other contractor should be responsible if and when the damage returns. If your reading this and think you can threaten a contractor by using angies list as leverage then please call another contractor. We have the kindest and nicest people who are here to serve the public and bless their homes for a resonable price and a great service. Fortunatly almost every negative report we have recieved is from a person we never conducted buisiness with because we are blessed and protected. Please forgive us for choosing not to serve you. Thank you for releiving your need to get back at us for refusing your job. Serve god first and his blessing will serve you and yours.

Exceptionally well!!! Workers were very professional. Grout came out discolored (unknown reason), and they promptly came back out to fix the problem. I also have a very curved transition in the tile, making the cuts very difficult, and the floor looks beautiful. Very happy.

This is the perfect client. Very kind and thankful. She had an issue with the grout that was purchased and installed. She was great and conntacting us to express herself and what she wanted done. Of course its not a lot of time for us to come back and correct it . Normally we charge because the grout was installed correctly and the manufacturer simply made a bad batch. Because of her attitute and kindness she did not and will not receive a charge for our return trip to correct the problem. It is a pleasure doing buisiness with such great people like this customer! Someone from this company came to give me an estimate for installing interior stairs. While in the basement, he talked extensively about the obvious water/mildew issues in the basement and commented that I had a poor job done by the home inspector if he did not inform me of them. Of course, this got me really worried and I immediately called a basement waterproofing company to come out. They told me exactly what the inspector said, that there is evidence of PAST problems, but no evidence of current problems and that the basement does NOT have mold, or need waterproofing. Willis's estimator caused me a lot of stress and worry for nothing. I guess they should stick to construction and not comment on issues that are not their expertise. The estimate they gave me for the stairs was 85% higher than the other estimate I got.

I Accidently read this at our meeting without first reading it. The customer my partener with 35 years in construction and before that real estate Development was the estimator for this job. I read this in front of our team and should not have. Anyway, i spoke to regarding his experiance with this potential client. The customer explained to me that there was actually a layer of Tyvek Vappor Barrior on the ceiling that had been holding water and when cut driped water onto the floor. he explained this is not the correct application for this product . I agree with this. He also is very allergic to mold as am I. My ears start to ring and I get headaches and irritated. Their is mold in the basment is what he explained to me. We have dealt with many wet basments and mold issues in our years pof experiance and have always been efficiant in our solving the issues. Im sorry you became alarmed and experianced fear regarding the basement condition. I know from my experiances that it is my duty and obligation to state what my oppinion is regarding serious issues like mold and material applications that are incorrect. It is my fiduciary responsiblity to educate those whos health or well being is in danger. I also know from experiance some people would rather be told what they want to hear not the truth. I hope and pray this person realizes that Roberts heart was and still is in the right place. I explained to Robert that he need not fear expressing himself and his educated opinion when his intention is right and just. The danger in receiving this report is that it may be difficult for him based on fear to educate the next person in need. i strongly reccomend him to do so because its the right thing to do. regarding the stair project, he quoted a completly different application then the other contractor or he felt stressed by this potential client causing the quote to be high. We hope the mold gets cleaned and that tyvek paper on the ceiling is removed and not used except on the exterior of the home as a vapor barrier. Blessings and thank you for your report.

I used an Angie's List coupon for this service. At first my request was delayed for several reasons. Watch out for the address on the web...it may be an old one. Finally, they received my signed contract. They did not schedule my work, although they should have once they got the signed contract. After 2 calls, Omar put me in touch with the correct person who would do my work, and things went smoothly from then on. Their call was scheduled, they were prompt and polite. There were two men and I was told that the coupon really meant two men for one hour, not one man for two hours. I had not understood that, but it seemed to work reasonablywell. The quality of the work was excellent; they worked quickly and efficiently, so I decided they were worthwhile. They were able to fix a screen door problem that had puzzled several other amateur handymen. I will have them again. I was told that the response to the coupon was overwhelming and they had some difficulty keeping up with the demand. I did believe the company truly wants to satisfy its customers and the technicians I had were really good at what they did. Willis Builders does more major construction, so this is not the main focus of their their business.
Description of Work: Minor electrical work and a screen door issue that three people had been unable to resolve.

This member is a great client and we are greatful for your report. Regarding the C in reponsivness: Im sorry it was difficult for you to get your contract and list to us. Our system is very simple for those who use fax and email. We first receive the confirmation of purchase and within 24 hours get a contract to be signed to the client via email. most clients respond with the list and contract via email or fax within 36 Hours of the purchase. We tracked 67% within 36 hours. Then if we dont receive the contract back within 5 days we have a reminder email sent out followed by a phone call. We get about 20% of the raming to get their contract and list in within the week by doing this follow up. Amazingly still it isnt 100% . then we start receiving a few cals here and there saying they want to be scheduled so we respond within 24 hours resending the contract via snail mail or email or their{ freinds} fax machine. This is how we get the remaining people to get their contracts and lists in to be scheduled. then we have a few people call in afetr the expiration of the coupon , usually within the first week or two we honer it because they have had 3 months to schedule. She got hers in within the date of expiration and even if she didnt id still honer her coupon because she was so nice to talk to and she communicated and followed up and im sorry about the address being incorrect on the website. it is to minimize the junk mail . My contracts and proposals have the correct address. I actually have since changed the address to our new office location because of theis experiance , so the brougham address is correect now. Blessings

I was very happy. They were very good, and they just saved me money. I have only used them one time. They came when they said they would. They did what I asked them to. They found ways to save money. They saved me from having to buy a second fan. They were just generally nice, and they did a good job. I had got coupons for $310 for six and a half hours, and I found a number of additional things that needed to be done, and I paid another $245 at the time.
Description of Work: I used Willis Builders for handyman services. They got out light bulbs that were stuck in sockets because the bolts had come out. They fixed ceiling fans and put in new ceiling fans. They fixed a hole in the wall. They replaced some lighting. They replaced a door knob. They did all kinds of small things.

I went a little overboard on the estimates, I got about 5 before deciding to go with Willis Builders, and I had him come out twice just to be sure. This is the biggest project I've ever taken on for a home I've owned so I wanted to get it right. Matthew was the absolute right choice. He has a down to earth, matter of fact, way about him that put me at ease with the process. He offered to meet me at a builders auction taking place the following weekend so that I could pick out some things and save money - this was great. Before the project started, Matthew brought his crew over that would be working on my basement. We walked through the project and then just a few days later work began. William, Tiago, Aloisio, Valdemir, and Wellington (and probably a few other Willis Builders employees that I did not have the chance to meet personally) were at my house daily and hard at work. They always wore logo'd employee shirts or hats which looked professional, were respectful of my home (putting up dust barriers, etc.), and were all non-smoking. The crew worked over the weekends and well into most evenings to reach certain points of progress and set the next guys work up for success. I checked in with them frequently and they made sure to ask me before certain things were done (checking wall placement, ensuring tile patterns looked good, double checking minor details). This excellent communication (in person, by e-mail, and text message) made sure that I knew what was going on and things were being done the way I wanted. They removed trash once or twice a week to ensure a clean job site (it is a construction zone, so lots of tools, materials, debris accumulate - but they kept it orderly as best they good and still be functional). Matthew at the beginning and his crew along the way provided helpful suggestions and modifications to the plan that greatly improved the finished project - I am grateful for their input. We really can't say enough about how great these guys were from start to finish. They did more than we expected in a quick and timely manner with the very best of results. You really can't ask for more. I highly recommend Willis Builders.
Description of Work: Willis Builders completed a complete finishing of our basement. It was not finished at all and they completed everything from framing out the walls, insulation, drywall, plumbing (including putting in a full bath, moving the utility sink, and connections for washer, plus the sink for the wetbar), electrical (recessed lighting, outlets, switches, etc.), flooring (ceramic tile work), painting . . . everything. The only parts of the project that Willis Builders did not complete were installation of the new sliding glass door to the patio (I wanted the same door as we had put in other areas of the home), the carpet, and the granite counter-top. All other aspects of this project were completed by Willis Builders over the course of just 6 weeks! This was true to the estimate that Matthew Willis provided me for a timeline so we were very pleased that it was completed so well in such a short amount of time. This work included the little extras, like wall mounting a new TV (after installing the cable, internet, and phone jacks) - when they were finished they turned over a truly complete project that was ready for us to use and enjoy from Day 1 - no more little things that we had to get done before it was ready to use. It was an awesome job from start to finish - and yes, I found Willis Builders through Angie's List.

Im Honered to have had the oppurtunity to serve you. Bless you and your family!
He did a tear down on my garage roof. He even had to tear down the rafters, he did complete reconstruction of all the wood components of a brick free standing garage. He replaced the roof. He removed an old window, entry door and garage door and replaced those as well. He was a little high on price but he was worth it. I had quality people working on my home doing quality work.

They did a really good job. When there was a situation where they could go one way or another in terms of installing they were very good about asking the way that I wanted it done and we went with the best way. Some guys would maybe just do it and not ask the way you want it installed so I was appreciate of that and that is was something I could decide and not make a mistake, it was a collaborative effort.
Description of Work: I got the materials and they installed lights for me in the kitchen and under the counter. They put in about 15 different lights for me.
