Ouch that hurts! An F ! This job took place almost 1 year ago from this report and the pain we caused this client is still fresh enough to give an F. We are sorry you where so disappointed in our service . I did some research to see who and what was done . Yes she sent photos and a nice list of what she expected to be done in 6.5 hours of service . This one should have been caught earlier so I do take responsibility . I've learned that when a client sends a huge list that is obviously going to take well over the expected time by the client , to communicate it unless they say " we expect it will go beyond the coupon time " I have since canceled a few jobs that are in this category . I recently canceled a job where the client expected 2 rooms crown molded , new hardwood installed and painted in 20 hours . I find its just much better to cancel the job then have a disappointed or disgruntled client who is going postal on my Angie's list reports . In this particular job the expectation to complete the following list in 6.5 hours is simply pie in the sky . I have to make sure the clients expectation isn't beyond reality . 1. Remove wall divider from ceiling (31”X3.75”) to railing level below (see photo attached). Install electrical box in ceiling and connect electrical wiring. Repair ceiling, install drywall cap, tape and mud top of remaining divider. Contractor should bring instrument to verify live sockets on the circuit. 2. Remove existing metal frame in kitchen door way. Cut and install drywall, metal edges, tape, and mud. 3. Cut and install drywall in kitchen wall ( 31”X10”) to replace outdated towel holders. 4. Repair drywall in bedroom. Remove messy caulk and replace with fine line caulk. I have one sheet of drywall, metal edges, paper and/or mesh tape, and mud. Contractor should bring T-square for accurate cuts and appropriate nails. I have basic tools but no power saw to cut through beams supporting the wall divider in item 1. This work was stopped after obtaining the materials that are not already on the job site and after 3.15 hours with literally two of my absolute best guys ! William and Tiago who are literally extremely multi skilled . I'm the first to take responsibility and make corrections to produce a better service . In this case I have to side with William and Tiago . I asked William why he chose to bring to men and not just himself . He explained that Tiago would start demolition and protection while be purchased the bunch of materials the client was short and they would need to complete the job . Also they could easily both work without any in efficiency . Bottom line is I have to a better job filtering jobs we take . This one I dropped the ball. I was surprised at this report because if she had communicated her dissatisfaction I always consider concessions to make the client satisfied or I can determine if the client is simply in la la land and I still will do my best to bring them back to reality so they can choose satisfaction through communication .
