I jumped through all their hoops—filled out detailed questionnaire, emailed pics of my house, etc., told them my availability for a call “tonight or tomorrow”—and then crickets. I emailed them again after a week to ask them to at least let me know if they’re overbooked and I should look elsewhere, but I still haven’t heard a peep. It’s been just about 2 months now. I feel like an organizing service should be more on top of things than this.

I used The Organizing Agency to help me move two years ago. They packed and unpacked for the move and they did a great job. Fast forward to today when I had to move again, I decided to use them a second time for my most recent move. By having The Organizing Agency handle the packing and unpacking it was stress free and I had no back pain! The best part was when I moved into a new place, they helped me organize every room in my home. The kitchen, bath, closets all flow and work great. I would use them again for future projects in this space if I decided to redecorate, or reorganize a room. I would highly recommend them for organizing, moving and any downsize/decluttering projects.
Description of Work: Packing and unpacking for a move. As well as pre-moved decluttering. Organizing my new home. The team spent six days in my home.

I presented Scott (The Organizing Agency) with what I thought was an insurmountable situation! As you can see from the before pictures, we had closet space designed for a small child but needed to accommodate two adults. I emailed the pictures to Scott, he gave me some immediate suggestions to begin the transformation. On appointment day, before making any structural changes, Scott began reorganizing my mess and I could see the possibilities. Within two weeks (only because of my time and the delivery schedule) an amazing thing happened. Scott totally reorganized the space, adding new and layered shelving, purse hangers, a shoe rack, and introduced me to boot shapers. Ok, a moment of silence, please, for the AFTER pictures. I was really impressed with the installation, the organization, the professionalism, and the level of sincerity Scott displayed. This is a man who knows what he is doing and cares about what he is doing. My former organization theory was "a place for everything and everything in its place." I knew basically what I had in the closet, but didn't always know where it was and usually made the situation worse searching for what I needed. My new theory is finding what I need when I need it; which is absolutely heavenly. Thank you, Scott

Scott helped us accomplish in four hours what we’ve been unable to do in 14 years - clearing our home office of clutter. He also left us with tools to keep the office in good shape and suggestions for standardizing our filing systems. We’ve been practicing the organizing tips he provided and working through our “to do” list from the Appointment Summary he provided. We were both really impressed with Scott’s professionalism and ability to keep us on task. He’s very skilled in identifying categories that make sense and guided us in sorting and culling the accumulated clutter of paper and “stuff” that hid our desktop. He’s very knowledgeable and knows how to help with both physical and electronic clutter. We definitely will use him again on future projects.

We don't have a single complaint. Everything was done in a timely manner and professionally. When we started out I only wanted the bedroom closets done, and I had a random idea of what i wanted for shelving for my collectables. Scott Rower came to our home prior to the renovation starting to see how we utilized our closets and our home. He suggested ideas and provided designs for all of the closets and the shelving project. I was so impressed with the quality of the design and happily surprised at the cost, that I added more to his list of 'to dos'. We actually didn't make any changes to Scott's original ideas, they were spot on. Interestingly when it came time in the renovation process to have all of The Organizing Agency's work done, we were out of the country on a three week vacation and had almost no contact with them. The first I saw of any of their installation was when we returned and I cannot even begin to express how happy we are/were to walk into our home that was in shambles the last time we saw it, and have it be totally put back together. After the installation and we moved back into the house, Scott and team followed up to make sure we knew where everything was, and to see how we were getting used to our new organization systems.
Description of Work: As part of a full house renovation, The Organizing Agency designed and installed 4 full closets, my kitchen pantry, under stairs storage and sourced (old chain link fence parts, repurposed wood, etc) and installed a custom shelving system for collectables in my home office. In addition, once the renovation was over and we 'moved back in' they unpacked and organized our entire house.

Great! Scott had some great organizing ideas. He helped me store clothes in a much more efficient manner than I had been doing before. I plan to use him again for clearing out old papers and clutter. He's excellent and very personable.
Description of Work: Scott helped me organize a bedroom closest and move clothes to a new chest of drawers. In the process he helped me come up with two bags of clothes to donate to Goodwill.

Scott, the owner of the Organizing Agency called up to see how I was doing recently with the work he did helping me organize my home office and a few closets in our home. This was the second time we worked with them, though the first time we didn't work with Scott directly. At the end of the call Scott asked if I would submit a review if we enjoyed the service, so here we go. My second experience was just as good as the first - amazing! So for the second one, we wanted closets sorted out. Well ok, my wife did, I was just not getting in the way. Same as the first time, we were booked in, Scott showed up with another girl that I honestly can't recall her name. They were ontime, ready to go, just like Nina and Stephen the first time we did the garage and basement. For the closets, i only they know they did a great job, and it's been a few weeks, but my wife still oohs and ahhs everytime she opens hers. I hope it sticks, a happy life is a happy.. well you know the rest. Now for the office. Here is where Scott gave me his personal attention. He helped setup and organize my computer, drives, desktop, and so on with a full digital filing system so I could find stuff easily. He gave me a process for naming folders, creating hierarchies, and keeping things so I don't have to spend hair-pulling time trying to find files. I'm still using the system today, and honestly, I can't imagine how I did it before. When you start using it, you think wow this makes total sense, but I just never bothered sitting down and systematically go through everything. There were so many useful tips and ideas that I would never have come up with. All in all a great experience, highly recommend.

I'm sure some of you can relate, but when you can't park your car in the garage anymore because it's overflowing with stuff, it's time to do something about...!! we tried on several occassions to do this ourselves, but it was so overwhelming. Finally we decided to get help. The Organizing Agency sent Stephen and Nina on one occasion and Witney (I think that's how you spell his name) on another. We started with the garage, but when we started moving things into the basement and two of our bedrooms, it was pretty obvious we needed more help. And we got it! They were amazing! They helped us get the right bins, brackets, and storage boxes I didn't even know existed (am I the only one who didn't know there was a whole store dedicated to just storage and organizing!?). They made it easy over the next few months and several visits to help us plan, sift through stuff, get rid of stuff, sell stuff we didn't need/want. Most of all they helped us get over the idea of getting rid of things we just didn't use/need anymore. That old baseball glove that's basically rotting away, but you have fond memories of (I kept the baseball I had when I was a kid, but the glove really had to go!). Anyway, they made it easy for us to get this done. Car fits now in the garage. The kids can hang out in the basement without fear of getting lost in a maze of knicknacks, and one of our bedrooms we even managed to convert into an office so i have a quiet place to work when I'm at home. All in all a great experience, super professional, fun, and they gave us the toughlove we needed to get it done. Thanks guys!

From the beginning it has been easy to work with Scott and his team, from scheduling to the organizers showing up on time, every time, it has been great. I truly appreciate Scott's sense of humor, especially while we work together because organizing is not my favorite thing to do and it hasn't been a skill that has come naturally to me. If this process wasn't fun, I would have stopped on day one! We hired The Organizing Agency to work with us again after the great work that was done in our family command center. Not only has that area stayed organized, but it has inspired me to do more (I tackled the kitchen on my own). We brought them back to help us with the master bedroom closet, that I share with my husband. It took us (myself and the organizer) working non-stop for three, 4-hour appointments to unearth the closet floor, take everything out of the closet, start with a clean and fresh slate, and reorganized what we truly use, wear, and want to keep going forward. I knew this was going to be a daunting task that I couldn't do alone so I was so glad to have the professional assistance of Scott and his team. Another reason we hired Scott, specifically got this closet project, was because of his expertise in fashion. He trained with Stacy London (What Not to Wear) and boy did I ever learn from Scott what not to wear! The good news - what's left in my closet will be clothing I will wear, it looks great on me, I know what I have, I can see everything, it is not over crowded, I'm not tripping over shoes trying to get to the hanging clothes, and....wait for it....I get to go shopping! Scott found some great things in my closet that fit me really well, but I didn't have anything to coordinate with the garments. So, I now know what I'm looking for to add to the wardrobe, but better than that is when I bring it home, I know where to put the clothes because everything has a spot in the closet. I have no hesitation to recommend Scott and his team of professionals.

This was Scott's third visit to my house to help me deal with all the clothes I had. I had tried in the past on my own but was really attached to all my German wool clothes. Scott asked me great questions to help me decide whether to donate or keep it. He had me try on the clothes and see how it really looked now; not when I bought it over 20 years ago! Since I have my house on the market and want to move to a smaller place, this was perfect to help me deal with downsizing. Scott was very professional and offered suggestions on how to store and hang clothes. At the end of the 4-hour session, I had 7 trash bags full of stuff to donate. I was a little shaky at first at realizing I was letting go of the past but when I dropped the clothes at Goodwill, I let out a sigh of relief. I will continue to purge. I know the experience from working with Scott and the Organizing Agency will help me not save unnecessary things. Next project - my shoes! I highly recommend this company to help you downsize whether it is for yourself or your parents. You will feel much better afterwards.

AMAZING! My office closet was a bunch of disjointed shelves and hard to find items ranging from cook books to Office supplies. After organizing my items into like categories, Scott measured the closet area and designed a terrific closet space worthy of a Hollywood set. He set a plan and gave me the dates to have each step in place, e.g.tear out existing shelves, painting the back of the closet a bright color, and when to order the Elfa system to ensure the best discount. The magic came when Scott installed the closet system in an hour and handily arranged all my items in easy to manage categories. Now my closet is always lovely to visualize and more importantly it functions beautifully. Nothing is ever a mess now. It's really terrific. I will continue to use Scott, he's worth every dollar.

Fabulous! Even my husband has repeatedly stated that this Kitchen design and organization is his favorite and was money well spent. Scott pulled every thing out of my kitchen and arranged it by how frequently it was being used and by category. By this method, I was able to eliminate items that I had not used in years. Once he put the items into groups, he was able to measure out the drawer sizes in each cabinet so that the new glide-out shelves would be at the exact height of the tallest item in each category for best functionality and space utilization. I had a huge over the oven space that was a pain trying to get out all the party platters and dishes. Now each tray fits vertically into glide outs with separated space for each item. The previous kitchen had the builder man special, with open space and one small 1/4 shelf high up in the back of the space. It was always a royal pain getting down on hands and knees to find items in the back. Now with Scott's design and the install of the glide-outs by Shelf Genie (separately purchased) we actually enjoy cooking and cleaning with every below counter space providing multiple glide outs. Scott made the entire process very easy. During the design phase he always left everything neat and back in it's place. As the work men finished their install, scott followed closely by placing the items in their new location. At the end of the day, we had a new functioning kitchen which remains neat and highly organized. My only regret is waiting ten years to do it!

My desk area was a disaster. in one four hour session with The Organizing Agency, we were able to clear all of the shelves, organized the stuff, decided what to keep and put back in my new 'system. We tackled the drawers and I love how everything has a specific place for everything. I laughed at how many things of scotch tape I actually had in one drawer. So now?my desk is organized, I won't waste money on buying stuff I already own and I'll find what I'm looking for the 1st time! I can't wait to have Scott & his team back to tackle our garage and my closet!

From the beginning, emailing Brian, the office manager, and arranging for the appointment with Scott, it was extremely easy. I sent Brian a couple of messages he always responded promptly . He is always very courteous and professional. Scott arrived on time, in office logo attire, and immediately dove-in. He asked me pertinent questions, how I functioned in the space, what I wanted to use, and how I envisioned the ideal office space. From my response, he led me through the process giving me manageable piles to go through. I decided what to keep, to toss, to donate or to file electronically. When I got stuck, I'd ask him questions and he'd help me make the decision by asking me questions of intent. This was very helpful and made me remember when I got stuck again. Scott helped me organize important papers electronically so i can share them with Family members or keep them in my personal cloud. He is very technically savvy and taught me different tools to use. While I am going through papers, Scott organizes the shelves and puts the items I have designated in the closet on shelves. Everything has it's own space. He even helped me arrange decor items and books on my decorative armor shelf unit, making it prettier than I had envisioned. My space is highly functioning and beautiful. Just what I was hoping for from this superb Organizing Agency. I highly recommend this company. I am left feeling so peaceful and efficient in my office. I've already set up my next appointment to tackle the garage! Worth every penny.

Scott did a great job of helping me wade through a whole bunch of papers etc that I'd been trying to de-clutter for months. We got a lot done in the four hour session. He helped sort through my mess, and gave me things to look at in a logical fashion, and helped me make rationale decisions on what to keep vs. toss. And he color coded my files! He also has given me invaluable tips on how to make life easier through the computer/cloud.

Very well. Scott identified many paces we could use for storage of folding chairs excess cleaning supplies that we never considered. This freed up closet space for clothes--that's what they were there for. He also suggested keeping limited numbers of glassware accessible and storing the rest until needed for entertaining. Lastly, he cleverly re-designed our Elfa closet systems to maximize their capacity.

I can't say enough good things about Solutions by Scott. I like Scott's approach to organizing. He just doesn't help you put things in order, he asks questions about your routine and tries to understand how you think and what motivates you. He works to put a system in place that uniquely works for you; his approach is not a one-size-fits all. He really works to set you up for success, so long after he's gone, you have a system you can maintain. He's punctual and friendly, but professional. He's focused and keeps me focused. I'm amazed at what we can accomplish in four hours. In just a couple of sessions, I'm in awe at the progress we've made. I accomplished in hours with Scott, what I couldn't do by myself with years of effort. I'm so happy I found him. I highly recommend him. You won't be disappointed!

I contacted Scott via his website and he called to conduct a telephone assessment and to set up our first appointment. He asked careful questions about the house and its occupants and the history of its clutter. He asked for photos--and the process of taking those was a real eye-opener for us. We could see that in places things were even worse than we'd thought. When he arrived Scott toured every room of our house and interviewed my partner and me. He was very respectful and nonjudgmental, and he conveyed confidence that this was a job that could be tackled. We met with Scott for several work sessions, each time making amazing progress. He works quickly and he involved us in the process so that at no point did the clearing of clutter feel threatening or out of our hands. Scott is well informed about hoarding issues and their emotional and psychological connections. He offered information and suggestions appropriately and always in a way that transferred the ownership of the solution to us. Scott has an impressive mental toolbox of tips and techniques for organizing as well as broad knowledge of where and how to discard, donate, mend, sell, and repurpose items. I would not hesitate to recommend Solutions by Scott to anyone who needs a life-transforming reorganization.

Scott helped two children in our household to organize their belongings, rooms and routines. He helped our college student sort through belongings to decide what was essential to take on a semester abroad, and on the student?s return Scott facilitated the process of preparing and packing for an immediate summer internship in another city?which would be quickly followed by moving into an apartment upon returning to school for the fall. Each of these trips and experiences required some overlapping and some unique clothing, accessories and household items, and each required compact organization and easy access to what had been packed. In addition, the household requirement was that the student?s room be left in a useable state. Not only was the mission accomplished with Scott?s excellent direction and participation but our student felt confident and pleased with the result. Our high school student needed to transform the chaotic environment of what had been a shared bedroom into a useable and useful study and retreat space. Scott helped our teen to focus on what was important and to clear away the stuff that was getting in the way of being able to find books, clothes and homework. Scott?s awareness of the roles that attention and executive function challenges play in organizational issues meant that he could sensitively and successfully recommend routines for this child for laundry, sports equipment storage and study routines. Both of our children feel that their experience with Scott and his impressive organizational expertise has put them in a position of strength and control over their environments and daily lives.

It was fantastic. Nina didn't just give me ideas --she actually dug in and pulled everything out and really helped me filter out things I didn't need or wanted to donate--she even helped me break down a bed frame! By the time we were done she had helped me completely clear out the problem side of our fourth floor, and organize the storage area and the closet. I took 12 bags to Salvation Army after she left. All in all I was very satisfied and can't wait to get more done. Thank you, Nina and Scott!
Description of Work: Scott was extremely flexible when I had to reschedule on two different occasions due to family issues. Once we finally set a date and time Nina came out and help me clean out and organize my fourth floor and storage area.

Scott answered my email very quickly. I initially contact him through his website. We were able to make an appointment within 2 weeks for both him and Nina to come out. I filled out an assessment questionnaire before the appointment and they requested I send a few photos of my space. They arrived 5 minutes early and were ready to go! They didn't take a break during the 4 hour appointment. They guided me through the entire process and put me at ease. I was embarrassed to have them in my house and by the time we were done, I was ready to have a party! I'm so pleased with their work, I can't wait to have them back out to do my closets.
Description of Work: I asked Scott and one of his assistants to come to my condo to help me organize! I was stressed by the clutter that had accumulated since I moved in. Scott & Nina worked their magic in my living room and kitchen in one long afternoon. Together we went through every nook and cranny. No box was left packed and no paper left un-turned. What's amazing is that since he left I've been able to maintain what we did together. I think the key was they actively were teaching me new skills as we organized and put systems into place. I'm so thankful for calling them for help.

I had Scott come back after he helped me organize my kitchen and living room. Working with both Scott & Nina was great, so I was excited to work on my closets. We tackled my bedroom closet and two hall closets. We pulled everything out, edited stuff I did not need, use, or wear any longer. I was surprised to learn of Scott's fashion background and was so pleased with the fashion advice he gave me. I thought he was just here to organize and he actually helped me put together some new outfits from clothes I already own. He had some great ideas on how to remodel the closet spaces on my budget. He designed a system using elfa. He emailed me a PDF plan and came back to install the system the next day. We organized my stuff back into the closets and I couldn't be happier. I can see all my clothes now and honestly, getting ready in the morning is so much easier.
Description of Work: We first purged and organized my closets, he then installed new elfa systems in three closets.
