Description of Work: I purchased a big deal to have a roof inspection and some minor maintenance performed. We had just bought the house and knew some work was needed. The appointment was very easy to schedule and Jay was great to work with. His crew arrived right on time. I mentioned to them that there was some siding that was loose and causing damage to our roof. I didn't expect that there was much that could be done, however, Home Wise not only fixed the siding but also performed far more repairs than those that were included in the deal. They also took picture documentation of everything that was fixed and all other issues discovered. Thy were very thorough and went above and beyond. Jay called personally to debrief me on the work done and talk me through what they had discovered. Being a first time homeowner I had a lot of questions. Jay was very patient and answered all of my questions - all in all I think he spent nearly an hour going over everything with me and educating me about my roof, attic and insulation. Home Wise will be my go to going forward - they are a quality company and very professional. I highly recommend their services.

Description of Work: I thought that all I needed was roof maintenance because when I bought this home last December, the previous owner disclosed that the roof was new / 2 years old. When Jay Gleason came out to do the maintenance, he found that the roof was much older and needed extensive repair and/or replacement, so there was no point in performing the maintenance covered by the coupon. I am asking for a refund at his suggestion, which I feel is a very honest way for him to handle this situation.

Description of Work: No bid deal. They just couldn't do the work necessary until 4 months from now, and I didn't need the work done that was included in the Big Deal.

Description of Work: Response was quick, completion of Angie's List Big Deal roof inspection and basic minor repairs was thorough and professional. They are coming back in the spring to replace our 23-year old roof after giving us a very competitive bid.

Description of Work: I had purchase an "Interior Attic Inspection with a Thermal Camera, Plus a Mold Growth Inspection". I was not concerned about the mold but was concerned about energy loss through the attic. Jay called and came out to the house promptly but after walking through the attic it became clear that what he was really interested in was in replacing my roof which had been damaged in the June 29th "direcho" storm. I never did get the thermal camera inspection which he said I didn't need (I do need more insulation). While Jay was very affable and knowledgable, and I believe could do quality work, I feel I did not get what I signed up for.

Description of Work: Jay came out for a roof check. He sealed an opening around a pipe. Jay took a number of pictures to show me the condition of the roof. Explained that it could hold up but to think about the replacement, this was year 16 of a 20 year roof so it was something I need to be planning on. When I am ready to replace the roof I will be calling Home Wise Pros, I liked what I heard and saw.

Description of Work: Jay Gleason the owner was and is a great help. I needed a minor repair at the moment and he taught me some things I could do on my own very inexpensively to most likely fix it. I really appreciate his honesty and I would definitely call when I have a more major need.

Description of Work: We needed a new roof. This was our first experience contracting a roofer so we had a lot to learn. We contacted 4 different companies in all. Upon calling The Home Wise Pros I received a quick response with date and time set up for an estimate. Jay Gleason was punctual and extremely thorough with his estimate and explination of work needed to be completed. He took the time to sit down and explain with photos exactly how he approached a project and its outcome. He took pictures of our roof to show us areas of concern and course of recommended action. A week later he returned and gave us the estimate for the job. We had 4 seperate roofers come in to give us an estimate and Jay's estimate and job description were by far the best we received. We set a date and paid a $500 deposit. The day before the job the tiles and roofing items were delivered. On the day of the job the roofers arrived as scheduled, they tarped the yard and were at work quickly. By 2:30 the roof was already completed, the yard cleaned and everything in order. Jay met me that evening and went through the many photos he had taken of the job as it progressed. Jay and his crew did an excellent job and we would definetly recommend them!

Description of Work: I did get the Big Deal for roof sealing. They were very quick to get back to me about scheduling. After we scheduled an appoinment, they came out to do the work. They do not work on cedar shake roofs so called me at work to say they were sorry, but they do not work on cedar roofs. Although I did not actually get to use their services, I was impressed at how prompt they were in contacting me and keeping me informed of what they were going to do and ultimately, why they could not work on my roof. They were going to refund me. The person who called me was very friendly and courteous. It's unfortunate that they don't work on Cedar roofs, otherwise we would have used them.

Description of Work: I purchased The Big Deal for $149.00 knowing I had a minor leak in the roof. The actual issue was detected in the inspection and pictures were emailed to me indicating the problem and when the repair was fixed. Homewise was upfront with the process, pricing and the estimate costs of potential problems that could be found. The quote to repair was actually less than originally priced. An excellent experience for a project that I have zero knowledge.

Description of Work: We had a small ongoing leak in the roof and we took advantage of your Big Deal to have some one come out and check the roof. They found an area around a pipe that had not been sealed properly when the roof was installed. They replaired the fitting around the pipe, primed and painted our metal chimney, and increased the size of our roof vent. We were very pleased with their work ethic. I would definitely recommend them.
