Outstanding job. The work was done in one day by a very professional crew. The roof looks great and they cleaned up every bit of debris before leaving. When our satellite dish was replaced, the technician commented that they had done a fantastic job on the roof.

Jay is a pleasure to work with. He talks with you during the estimate and answers whatever questions you have. He doesn't try to sell you things you don't need. He told me his suggestions and told me where I could save a few hundred dollars if I needed to and areas where other companies could inflate the cost. Rather than a set dollar amount, he gave me the price to do the roofing and the cost for additional sheet to replace bad roof decking as needed. I had a special circumstance where it was advantageous to have the work done sooner rather than later and he was able to fit me in quickly (due to good weather). I had CertainTeed shingles put on my roof. Once the job was complete, he showed me pictures (lots of them!) of the roof that were taken before and during the work. Jay specializes in roofing and gets most of his business through referrals rather than advertising. The Home Wise Pros is the kind of company that Angie's List was created to highlight!

We needed our roof replaced and wanted to find a contractor that knew and employed the latest roofing technology to ensure our new roof was able to last for years to come. We contacted several contractors and they all seemed very good, but Jay Gleeson of Home Wise Pros came to us prepared to talk about our roof based on his pre-planning. He was able to provide an accurate estimate based on the technology he uses for accurate measurement and assessment. Jay’s crews focus on roofs. They were very efficient, deploying the right people with the right products to ensure our home and our family are protected for the long term. They use top quality products from the latest in underlayment, ice dam reducing products, ridge vent, and premium quality shingles. They have very clear safety requirements while the roofing process is going on and they are serious about overall safety for your family and their workers. The crews take a lot of pictures before, during, and after the roofing process to document their work while in progress. The team was in and out in one day. Jay was conscientious about notifying us on when exactly to expect their crew. He made certain we were promptly re-scheduled when bad weather intervened. They re-flashed the chimney, painted all of the roof vents, installed a ridge vent that was not pre-existing, and replaced several pieces of plywood where there was leak damage. The roof looks great and the attic maintains a much better temperature balance now. We have real peace of mind with Jay and his team of professionals. They care about your home and your safety. He replaced the entire roof including the rotting plywood. He took pictures before and after the work to show what had been done, He thoroughly explained all of the work as it was done. He responded to all of our requests promptly and courteously. I recommend him to anyone who wants honesty and quality workmanship.

We selected Home Wise Pros from Angie's List after reviewing several proposals. We worked with Jay Gleason who provided us a very thorough review of the situation and even corrected an oversight made by our insurance agent, using satellite imagery photos of our home which he brought to the first appointment. Jay also discussed several of the specific technical issues which needed to be addressed in replacing our roof. Home Wise Pros sent an experienced crew who arrived very promptly and completed the job in two days as promised. They were polite, professional and very attentive to every detail, including the protection of some new landscaping which we had just added. They cleaned up each day and left our property in great condition! Jay visited the site several times each day and provided us with updates on the progress of the work. At the conclusion of the job, Jay returned with a complete set of photos showing the details of the work before, during and after the roof replacement. We were extremely pleased with the results and with working with Home Wise Pros and Jay Gleason. We would highly recommend their services if you are seeking a quality job at a reasonable price performed by a very professional company.

Very prompt, professional and courteous from the estimate to completion of the job. Worked very closely with me to ensure appropriate compensation from the insurance company. Takes many pictures to help support the insurance claim. Prices were reasonable which the insurance company agreed with. After starting the work, they found rotten and damaged wood that needed to be replaced that was not part of the initial estimate. They contacted the insurance company to discuss the extra expense. They were able to get a good portion of the extra cost covered. Very pleasant and personable to deal with. Workers were fast and efficient. Very organized from the tear down of the roof to the clean up on completion of the job. Thanks Jay for making an unpleasant experience as painless as possible. I will be spreading the word. I don't normally write reviews, but this was too good of an experience not to share.

Extremely professional from start to finish. Showed up with an estimate in hand on our first meeting after discussing the job on the phone. Their prices are very competitive. Didn't try to hard sell me into more then I wanted. They have a great process and use excellent products (membranes, etc) for a quality installation. Very pleasant and efficient throughout. The work took exactly as long as estimated, 2 days. We have extensive landscaping and great care was taken not to damage anything. Cleanup was through and complete. Really couldn't be happier.

Home Wise did a fantastic job replacing our roof. After the recent tornado, we were concerned about roof damage when we found shingles in our yard. Jay and his team checked our roof and, while the shingle wasn't ours, they found wind damage that would cause a leak. They performed temporary patching until I contacted my insurance company. Once my insurance company agreed, we contracted with Home Wise to replace the entire roof. Jay responded quickly to all calls, thoroughly reviewed the work to be done, and the roof replacement was done at a convenient time for us. They did a fantastic job, displaying pictures taken on our roof to show the roof replacement steps (and materials used). We are very happy with our new roof and would highly recommend Home Wise Pros.

We were really lucky to find Jay on Angie's list. He shows up when he says he will and patiently answered all our questions. He offers materials as good as or better than other "best" roofers, and he will not do any kind of hard sell. There is no "sign this minute and ..." or "you might also need this..." He did a fantastic job on the roof. It looks great. He took over 200 pictures to show us exactly what he did. His crew cleaned everything up. He was also many thousands of dollars cheaper than the other estimates we got!!!! You just have to be lucky enough to find him since he doesn't advertise or have a sales staff (that's what saves you money). Everything is by word of mouth. We definitely feel lucky to have found him.

Very well. Jay Gleason and his team did a fantastic job. They arrived on time and worked diligently. They replaced my very large roof, including a large number of rotted planks, in less than two days, with the replacement gutters taking a third day. I am really pleased with the work they did. But let me add two important notes for Angie's List customers to think about when considering Home Wise Pros. First, Jay had the opportunity to sell me additional products/services, like new soffits or gutter guards. Not only did he *not* try to sell them to me, he talked me out of them because I didn't need them. Second, very few construction jobs go perfectly, and this one was no exception. As Jay and I were touring my property during his post-construction inspection, I mentioned the two minor mistakes that were made. Jay insisted on sending a member of his team to correct the problems right away. I measure the integrity of a company by how honestly it deals with me up front, and by how strongly it stands behind its craftsmanship. I sincerely appreciate Jay's straight-forward, honest, no-nonsense approach, as well as his commitment to quality work. I wholeheartedly recommend his company to anyone who needs roofing or gutter services.

Excellent! Far exceeded my expectations and I am very particular. Jay and his team did very high quality job. Perfection is the word that keeps coming to mind when I think of dealing with Jay and looking at the beautiful roof they installed. The roof looks perfect! Jay spent time with us to make sure we got the right shingle, caulk color and copper flashing. He kept me informed during the whole process, the crew showed up as planned on time, were very neat and respectful, did a very high quality job with the best materials. They did a great job - efficient, professional, responsive. They did the work as laid out in the contract, and cleaned it all up afterwards. We feel the price was fair and are pleased with everything they did. Jay Gleason was very nice and easy to work with. We'd use Home Wise Pros again.

The work by Home Wise went very smoothly and exactly as discussed with company owner. On the day the work was to be performed the workers arrived promptly at 0730. I departed for work and was not around to observe the work being performed but by 1530 I received a call that all the work was completed, the old material was removed, my landscaping was protected during the work. When I returned home at 1630 I saw a nice new roof and except for that, there were absolutely no signs that any work was performed at my house that day. Everything was cleaned up, my landscaping showed no signs of any abuse. Subsequently the Home Wise owner came by to show me photographs made throughout the work day of the old roof being removed and the new shingles being installed, again all as was specified in the work order. Two 4 x 8 sheets of roof wood were replaced and photographs were presented to show the damage these sheets had and why replacement was warranted. Paying for major home repair is never pleasant but in this case the price was reasonable and competitive and the work was flawless so I was a happy camper.

Our house turned 30 this year and the original roof had reached its end of its life span and was beginning to leak into our bedrooms. In May we began the process of getting estimates from roofing companies. From the very beginning, we were very impressed with the Home Wise Pros. Jay Gleason, the owner of Home Wise Pros answered the phone and came to our house for the estimate. The estimates we received were almost exactly the same price, so it became a matter of who we would trust with a very large and expensive project. Having the owner come to our house, provide the estimate, share hundreds of pictures of his work on other houses during the roof replacement process and agree to temporarily fix the leaks at no additional charge sealed the deal for us. After a very rainy May we didn't expect the roof to be replaced until late June/early July, but Home Wise completed the job today (June 13). It was an all day affair with his staff arriving at 7:00am and not leaving until 7:00pm. The roof looks great and Jay showed us pictures of every plywood board that needed to be replaced (12 in all). We hope we never have to get our roof replaced again, but if we do, we will have the Home Wise Pros do it again.

I have to say that Jay and his team are one of the most professional contractors I worked with on a home project. I live in an olde older home and I wasn't sure when the last time was that the roof had been replaced but needless to say it was old . I received several estimates and Jay's was very reasonable and did mention that there would be added cost for any wood that would have to be replaced once the old shingles were taken off. That is the only part of the price that cannot be estimated in advance, however as the work is being done Jay and his team take plenty of photos to show you after the work has been done so you can see exactly how much had to be replaced and how much existing damage there was to the roof. Prior to the work being done Jay met with me to go over every step of the process and patiently answer all my questions. He explained he could not give me an exact date to do the work because he needs to ensure that weather conditions will be acceptable to on install date. That being said, my roof install ended up being earlier date than estimated and Jay was very good about keeping me in the loop to narrow down the date based on weather conditions for the week of install. Day of install went smoothly and I am very happy with my new roof. Jay's crew was actually early on day of install and waited patiently until I left my house before they began the work and they were finished by the time I came home from work. Everything around my home was completely clean and nothing was damaged and the new roof looks great. Jay called several times during install to keep me up to date on the project and let me know when the work would be completed. He then followed up in person to review the photos of the install with me, especially to show me how much wood had to be replaced because of rotting and weather damage. Unfortunately that did add $2500 to the overall cost of the roof replacement, but Jay had explained in advance this is an unknown until they remove the old shingles and can see what they are dealing with. In the case of my house was a combination of rotted and splitting wood to poorly installed planks, all of which had to be replaced. In the end, I have a new roof guaranteed to last 50 years and would definitely recommend Jay and The Home Wise Pros for your next roof replacement.

the quote was decently cheaper than the competitors but the reviews were still good so i decided to choose the home wise pros. everything went well, good clean up, much better clean up than my in-laws got when they had their roof replaced. if you like to see pictures they take lots of them and you can see the various stages. good communication and punctuality throughout the whole process. can't honestly say how the quality would compare between the competitors but everything seems to have gone very well and with the price difference it's a no brainer.

Jay and his crew were extremely professional and easy to work with. They had the hardest time trying to find dry days this spring in which to work! However, Jay stayed in close contact with us concerning the weather and working around our need to board our dog for the time they were here. They did a fantastic job! Jay was on site most of the time and the team worked quickly while keeping standards high. At the end of the job, they cleaned the yard and driveway and Jay produced photos. I highly recommend this business!!!

Jay was outstanding. First of all, he was extremely patient and helpful with us and all of our questions. We didn't know anything about roofs before the process and received several different estimates. Jay was able to sit with us and even came back to our house a couple of times to walk us through the process. During the day of the job, Jay took photos throughout and shared them all with us the next day. He even called a few times to share updates during the job. Very professional, the site was cleaned up well, too. What convinced us to use the Home Wise Pros was how he had one crew, knew them all well, and would be on-site during the job. He's not "just a salesman" and would be there to make sure anything we talked about would actually happen.

Jay at Home Wise Pros Roofing was the only roofer who took the time to walk me through the entire process and explained every option. We had 6 quotes and he was the only one that let me with a confident feeling that he would make sure everything went as he planned and promised. On the work day, his team was fast and did a wonderful job with the roof and restored great value to our home. He went out of his way with adding little details like extra flashing, painting the pipes and inspecting our faux-chimney. His men even took at least an hour sweeping the yard with magnets to get and nails missed when they cleaned up. When they left, the bushes and landscaping in front of the house looked as if they were not even there. I could not recommend Jay and The Home Wise Pro Roofing company more! A++!

Provider refunded cost of coupon immediately but it would have been nice if they had just deleted it from Angie's List altogether since they were so busy.

My wife and i are delighted with the results,. From beginning with estimate to final clean up the job was executed as professionally as you can get. Constant communication with the owner, Jay Gleason confirmed that he was on top of his crew and his game as a roofer. Our home is a rather large 2 1/2 story structure with a large three car garage/ shop attached. - A lot of roof area. As well we have a lot of a challenges for a roofer with dormers, hips and valleys on the entire structure. . With a job that could take another roofer a week or more the Home Wise crew finished in two and a half days - including a flawless clean up. .Couldn't be more pleased. Since our job completion, I have had Home Wise complete another roof for a friend who needed a referral. The same competent workmanship, communication and clean -up occurred with that job. Hands down, Home Wise is the best.
