Jay from The Home Wise Pros sat down with us to discuss all the options for our townhome roof replacement to include areas where we could cut back to save money. We decided on getting the roof replaced exactly as he recommended. He was excellent with all communications to keep us up to date because of rain on our installation date. We were rescheduled and had the installation a few days later. The crew was here at 7:20 am for the installation and they put tarps out on the lawn to catch falling debris. They made a very quick job of the roof and meticulous cleanup finishing at 12:30 pm. The crew took photos as they progressed and afterwards Jay went through the photos and explained everything that was done. We saw the excellent job they did. This is the third time we have used The Home Wise Pros (they did a roof inspection and installed attic insulation previously) and we will not hesitate to use them again in the future. I would bet they are one of the best in the business and they get our highest recommendation.

I aked this company for an estimate for a roof replacement. I found them to be very professional and responsive. Although it did take a week for the estimate, it was sent to me by email as I requested. The proposal was thorough. I like this company very much and after reviewing four companies and proposals, they were one of my top two choices. I went with the other company because I was equally impressed with them and the price they provided was $!,400 cheaper.

I was dreading the process of getting a new roof. I called around for estimates and thought I had a good deal with a big box store. Then Jay Gleason came to the house. He had photos of past jobs (they document everything) and overheads of my house showing what he would do in detail. The process of getting an estimate took two visits, but it was worth it. He gave us all kinds of information about what they would do, what it would cost and what unexpected things they might encounter. My only reservation is that it seemed too good to be true. The week came for installation and we had to be out of town for a family emergency. No worries- the neighbors all reported in. Apparently there was "an army" of guys working on the house. Things went quickly and smoothly, they repaired rotten wood as they found it and finished on time. They even went to our neighbors houses to clean up in case anything had blown into the yards. They even took the time to repair things not in the scope of work- at no cost. What can I say, they did a fabulous job. It has rained heavily several times since then and all is well. I am confident that if we do have a problem (not likely) they will come back and deal with it. Call the others, then call Jay. You will not be disappointed.

Fine. I was away on vacation when they came to do the work. I may have rated them higher if I had been home to interact with them. I accepted their suggested addons by phone (replaced vent bases, and repaired shingles). Pretty sure my 30-yr old roof needed the repairs.

The service was fine. There were no problems found. He told me what my attic needed to be at the minimum standard and he recommended I don’t do any more work. I was satisfied that he did not try to over sell me or charge me for something I did not need. The guy was courteous and arrived on time. I was pleased with the service.

They are very thorough and probably very expensive company. They came in with the lowest bid so far from the 6 bids on our roof. The work was done on the time they said and they cleaned it up totally. The roof was great and we have already recommended them to several people in our neighborhood.

The owner was very quick to come out for an estimate. He showed us a portfolio of his work, explained in great detail the work to be done (including matching an existing roof just recently installed on our garage), materials to be used, proper flashing around chimney and various vents, etc. He was very clear and upfront about cost, and what we were paying for -- for instance, quality materials cost a little more but are likely to last longer, etc. He was very professional, pleasant, and he was on site helping do the work, which was done in one day. After the work was completed, he showed us pictures of the work in progress -- for instance, rotten wood being replaced with new wood, before/after flashing of chimney and vents, etc. Very cool! We loved his detailed presentation before and after. It made it much more personal. He obviously takes pride in his work and it shows. The roof looks great and matches the new garage roof beautifully. No more leaks! He did an excellent job from start to finish and all debris was cleaned up and taken away. Excellent work! I would highly recommend The Home Wise Pros.

I was very satisfied with the work. Jay, the owner of Home Wise Pros, was very professional and informative. It was also obvious that Jay is very committed to satisfying his customers. After the maintenance work was completed, Jay called to discuss the state of my roof. During the call, Jay said they noticed several nail pops and a lot of deteriorating shingles. He said he would send the pictures over (they take them via a camera or iPad during the maintenance process) for me to review. Jay said I could probably squeeze another winter out of the roof or perhaps two if they were mild, but I asked him if it would be possible for him to provide an estimate. I prefer to be proactive for peace of mind, so Jay scheduled an appointment that was convenient with my schedule and stopped by to review the photos, as well as discuss the estimate. I was really leaning toward going with Jay, but I wanted to get another couple of estimates. I ended up going with another "A" rated Angie's List roofer, because the cost difference was almost $1,000. I have been very happy with the work performed, but feel confident that Jay would have provided excellent service. My parents are going to be replacing their roof in the next year or two and Jay will be at the top of my recommendation list.

Got bids from 5 companies. Estimate in line with other top reviewed companies. Very responsive and professional. Owner came out for review and estimate. He listened attentively to our concerns and answered all questions. Excellent workmanship, clean up was also excellent, as well as addressing issues after work was finished. Great customer service and feature of showing photos of roofing process on our house demonstrating what was done and how when all completed. In short, trustworthy, and would earn my business again - but we hope not to need a new roof for 35 + years! Anyone else considering or needing a roof, I would say put the company on must call list. Highly recommended without any reservations.

When I needed to replace my roof, I called two companies from Angie's list and the original roofer. Jay's bid came in a couple hundred dollars higher than the two others, but he was the only one who took the time to meet with me personally, and his presentation was through and convincing, so I called him and said that it pained me to take the highest bid, but that he had sold me. I was not sorry, He matched the lower bid, got the job done on time, in one day, cleaned up thoroughly, and kept a comprehensive photo journal of the work. Every rotten plank was documented and he charged me less than tne contract price for the replacement wood. The roof looks great.

They came right on time, made sure that the area around the house was covered with tarps to catch anything that fell off. They finished the job in one day and cleaned up everything around the yard. Again, just as promised. The next day we noticed a minor oversight (we had an extra non-functional attic fan that we wanted removed) and we called Jay who immediately agreed to take care of it. And within a week someone came back and removed it. You can't even tell that they needed to come back for that. They also replaced the skylight as well as all the flashing. For they skylight they made sure that the molding on the inside was saved so that we could re-use it if we wanted to.

I originally called Jay after my wife noticed a stain on our bedroom ceiling during hurricane Sandy. I had gone up in our attic and it appeared to have originated at one of the pipes that go through to the roof. I was debating on whether to get a roof maintenance package on Angie?s list or to get a new roof since it was the original roof and over 18 years old already. I spoke to a few companies and all were very busy at the time with other people having many problems due to the storm. Jay said that he could do it for me, but mentioned that since this was the first time that I had noticed this and since this was an intense storm that I may want to wait until it rains and check it again. He offered to do a free inspection with pictures and determine whether to do some maintenance or to consider a new roof. In the end we decided that a new roof would be needed very soon anyway so we decided to have it replaced. Jay came to our house and explained in detail the whole procedure and what was available. He left information with us to determine what type of material we prefer so he can provide a quote. We decided that since this was a big job that we should take our time and contact more companies to get a comparison of what would be performed and at what cost. We used Angie?s list to narrow our search and interviewed 4 companies. Jay?s quote was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. We decided to go with Jay for a number of reasons. His reviews on Angie?s list were not only good, but great. Also, he was very good at presenting what he would do and would back it up with numerous pictures during the whole process. The pictures were an added benefit that I really liked. In addition, being the owner of the company meeting the clients and presenting the material gave me a comfortable feeling that he would back up everything that he told me. I didn?t need to worry about someone who may receive a commission and possibly inflate their promises. Lastly, he made both my wife and I feel comfortable in our decision. We originally had scheduled the work to be done on Monday. However, rain was expected not only that day, but all week. I suggested that we would be home that weekend and would prefer to have it done sooner rather than later. Jay contacted his workers and called me back saying that he could do it. They arrived on time early in the morning and started the process. Another team arrived a little later and between the 2 teams they had everything done including the cleanup before it got dark. It came out beautiful and Jay called to make sure I was happy and followed up a week or so later to show me the pictures and review the work. I would highly recommend Jay and his company if you are considering a new roof. I?m sure that you will be happy with your decision.

Jay ( the owner) was outstanding from start to finish. At the initial visit he explained everything to us, educated us and had hundreds of pictures on his tablet of other jobs. He explained that my whole job would be documented with pictures from start to finish. Within 15 minutes of meeting Jay I knew that I would go with his company. He is one of the few contractors that I trusted from our initial meeting. His price to replace our shingles was very competitive and reasonable based on the other estimates I received. Jay's workers arrived at the exact time as promised, were very professional and completed the job exactly within the time as promised. They removed the old existing shingles and replaced with new shingles. The new roof looked really really good and the cleanup was outstanding. Jay checked in and kept me updated all along as the roof was being replaced. After the new roof was installed, Jay displayed the entire job on his tablet (with many pictures) and I was able to see the entire job from start to finish. Jay is probably the best contractor I have ever dealt with. He always promptly returned all my phone calls and clearly answered all of my questions. I was completely satisfied with his work, and highly recommend going with his company. They are one of the best out there!

Initially Jay from Home Wise Pros came out to do an attic evaluation from a Big Deal I purchased. The evaluation went fine although he did not go fully up into the attic as I assumed he would, but just assessed any issues from climbing up the opening. He determined I probably needed a pipe collar repair and they ended up doing the repair. The workman was punctual, and did the work quickly. I haven't had any more issues with water since.

I called him to schedule the appointment, but the Service Provider told me that I had to wait a Month to get the deal used and I had a leak in my roof that I needed fixed immediately. So I called and called and get refund

We first came to find The Home Wise Pros through Angies List after coming home one night and finding water leaking through our bedroom ceiling fan. We read all the fantastic reviews of Mr. Jay Gleason's work and decided to contact him and see if he was available to come to our home and check for roof damage and water damage. Mr. Gleason came to our home a few days later and went onto our roof and gave us an accurate report of what we were looking at in terms of repair and the current state our roof was in. Shortly after that we had Mr. Gleason come back to our home to give us an estimate and we immediately signed a contract for him to replace our entire roof. After signing the contract, we were given an estimated work date and an alternate date due to any weather issues where work would not be able to be performed. The team arrived early on a Sunday ready to go around 7:30am and the work was completed around 5pm. They set up tarps and protective equipment so that the house would not be damaged by the removal of the roof shingles and wood. After completing the work they performed cleanup in my front yard and backyard along with the lawns of my neighbors. Mr. Gleason came to our house within a few days and showed us all the pictures of his work. We were very pleased with Mr. Gleason and the Home Wise Pros team. We found their work to be excellent and it completely exceeded our expectations. Mr. Gleason was in contact with us from after the initial meeting up until the actual work day and then afterwards to be able to meet with us and go over all work performed. He had over 200 photographs that detailed all of the work before, during and after. There is not enough to say about the work he has done, you really have to sit down with him to get a proper idea of how professional and how great of a job they do. Job went very well. We had to reschedule due to rain, but was addressed a few days later. Crew was on time and very professional. Jay responded well to questions during process. Quality of work is very good, I appreciate the picture's documenting work.

The owner Jay Gleason was very professional. He came out to give me a bid initially. The way he handled himself was a big reason why I selected him. The price was competitive. It was a fairly large job. They showed up on time and were very conscientious about cleaning up after the job. It took about 2 full days to complete. The finished product was wonderful. He is very thorough as well - going through the end results w/ me. The quality was excellent overall - and I was very satisfied with this company.

It went very well. We run a horse farm, and were concerned about nails being left where horses might step on them or tires might get punctured. Jay was thorough in his assessment of our needs. They showed up when we expected and did the job in one day. There was not a nail or scrap to be found when they left. All in all, we were very pleased.

The Home Wise Proses were very prompt and did a good job. They cam quickly and inspected my roof. They sealed a few loose shingles and repaired the flashing around some of the pipes. The also repaired a loose piece of aluminum soffet although it was not part of the big deal I had purchased. They cleaned up the area very well and provided me with before/after pictures of their work. I highly recommend this company.

. Jay Gleason conveyed a sense of competence and trust from our first meeting. He showed us a number of previous jobs with extensive pictures on his laptop computer illustrating how his crews go about their work and the situations they typically run into on roof replacements.. We first had to select a color and shingle quality and we selected a couple of options from samples that Jay brought along. We then wanted to see how our selections actually looked on a house in our area. We drove by several homes and changed our selection to one that we saw in the brochure. Jay got a sample of our selection to finalize our choice. His price was competitive, (we had gotten 3 estimates) and he did not quibble over minor things. The only unknown was how many sheets of new plywood would be required. The job was scheduled for January 10, weather permitting---and it was done as scheduled. The crew started at the time they promised and operated in a very professional manner. They covered all the shrubs and patios with large tarps to collect the old roof material. Each of the 10 men knew his job and did not delay at all. They took pictures of everything before starting and lots of pictures as the job progressed. About 600 in all. The crew was very experienced with all phases of the job. It turned out that 15 new sheets of plywood were required. The crew took a picture of each damaged section and numbered it with spray paint before removing it. The installation was very professional. When they were finished with the installation they were very thorough about the cleanup. after removing the debris they patrolled all around the house several times to make sure that all the little bits and pieces were picked up. When Jay returned the next day he took us through the picture history of the job on his Mac laptop, where he could zoom in on any of the pictures of damaged sections if we wanted a closer look. We are very satisfied with the overall job and would recommend HoweWise pros to anyone.

My 12 year-old house in Adamstown needed a new roof (long story). I used Angie's List to identify qualified contractors and asked The Home Wise Pros out to talk to us. Jay Gleason came out promptly to look at the roof and provide an estimate of the work required. He did a nice "Roofing 101" explanation of the choices in roofing materials (architectural shingles, roofing paper) and installation techniques (flashing, weather guard, ridge vent, pipe collars, replacing any bad roof plywood, etc.). We never felt pressured to consider anything more than was necessary to do the job correctly. Given the high winds we've experienced in Adamstown over the years, we decided to replace the ineffective 3-tab shingle with a heaver 30-year Certain-Teed architectural shingle. We signed a contract for the new roof on 12/8, understanding that winter weather might delay roof work until Feb/March. Jay identified a possible January 8 window if the weather cooperated, so we kept our fingers crossed. The weather actually warmed up the last few days, so materials were delivered on January 7 and the new roof was installed on January 8. The delivery of materials went smoothly - shingles loaded onto roof, and accessory materials were stacked to one side of driveway. There was no damage to trees or shrubs around the house when the crew used the crane on their truck. Installation of our roof began early on Jan. 8 and was completed by around 4pm. Again, bushes and trees were covered and I observed no damage to the house. Jay photographs everything during the installation process, and he reviewed their work with us the next day. Cleanup was complete and thorough - I found no loose material or nails left behind. In sum, a very nice job by The Home Wise Pros. I can confidently recommend them to anyone else wanting a new roof replacement.

Two men inspected the roof. I spoke with the company owner on the phone. The owner of the company indicated that it would cost $575 to fix the roof. The owner said that in order to get the $150 credit, I needed to have the work done right away. I had the work done -- replace 12 shingles that I supplied and installed four vent boots. The entire job (including the inspection) took about three hours. The one leak that I was aware of was fixed by the work the company did. I have not discovered any leaks since the work was done. I asked for and did not get a written report on the roof, the owner said there was not need since I had the work done while the men were here.

OK. I was to have been given a written report, but, so far, have not received it. The people I dealt with were courteous and knowledgeable.
